At ExCeL London last week, ManageEngine, the IT management division of Zoho Corporation, announced a major expansion across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The region is now the company's second-largest market worldwide, accounting for ten per cent of global revenue and growing at twenty per cent year on year. For CEO Rajesh Ganesh, the success in the UK and Ireland is both strategic and symbolic. "These markets have always been early adopters of technology," he says. "They were among the first to invest in large-scale digital infrastructure. Today, the focus is on how to get the best return on those investments, how to keep systems running, how to measure productivity, and how to stay secure." ManageEngine growth planned for the UK and Ireland Security is now central to ManageEngine's business. As more companies move to hybrid or fully digital operations, the attack surface expands. Regulations such as GDPR have also raised the stakes. "Regulation is really about evidence," Ganesh explains. "You must always be ready to show that you follow best practices, who has access to what, what happened, and when. That's what our products do. They make that evidence available in real time." ManageEngine operates in 190 countries and has evolved with the industry it serves. Founded in 1996 by engineers who left Bell Labs and Qualcomm to return to India, the original business built software for telecom manufacturers. After the dotcom collapse in 2001, the company pivoted, deciding to build software that could manage any IT infrastructure, not just those of telcos. That decision gave birth to ManageEngine. "We wanted to build a global product company out of India," Ganesh says. "Why should innovation only come from Silicon Valley?" From ten employees in 1996, ManageEngine has grown to a team of six thousand within Zoho's eighteen thousand-strong organisation. The company's core customers are CIOs and IT leaders responsible for keeping modern enterprises secure, compliant, and operational. "Every business today is a digital business," Ganesh says. "Our role is to help them manage that reality." The firm's growth is driven by its end-to-end model. Rather than offering point solutions, ManageEngine provides a single integrated platform covering service management, cybersecurity, compliance, and automation. "Our customers don't want to manage multiple vendors," Ganesh says. "They want one system of record. That's been our vision from the beginning." ManageEngine competes across several categories, from ServiceNow and Atlassian in IT service management to Microsoft in endpoint control, but Ganesh is careful not to define the company purely by competition. "We've always built rather than acquired," he says. "Our technology, support, and cloud infrastructure are all in-house. We even run our own data centres. It's slower, yes, but it keeps us close to our customers and their challenges." That proximity is both cultural and operational. ManageEngine's technical support sits alongside its engineering teams; they travel together, visit customers, and feed insights directly into product development. "We don't outsource," Ganesh says simply. "We believe in face-to-face interaction. Our customers tell us again and again how much they value that." The UK office is in Milton Keynes, and the company operates data centres in the UK, Amsterdam, and Ireland, an investment that proved essential after Brexit. "When the UK left the EU, certain clients, especially in government and healthcare, required data to be hosted locally," Ganesh explains. "We responded immediately by building the infrastructure here." An Irish office is likely to follow. "It makes sense," he says. "We already have a data centre there and a growing customer base. Ireland will be an important part of our regional expansion." The company's long-term approach is deliberate. ManageEngine prioritises resilience over speed, preferring to build self-sufficient systems with minimal external de...

In this Telugu podcast episode, we sit down with Satish Babu Garu, senior journalist with over four decades of experience in Telugu media. Known for his fearless programmes Dharmapeetam and Journalist Diary, he takes us through untold stories, rare encounters, and unforgettable moments with towering leaders like NTR, YSR, KCR, Jayalalitha, Chandrababu Naidu, Nadendla Bhaskar Rao, Renuka Chaudhary, and others.Produced with his own money, nearly ₹14 lakhs, Dharmapeetam became a landmark show at a time when private electronic media was just taking shape. Without fear or compromise, the show gave a way to ask the questions no one else dared to. From delicate issues to personal truths, the programme redefined Telugu journalism. He recalls his powerful memories with NTR, the journey from Gemini office to Dharmapeetam in NTR's favorite Maruti 800, the leader's habit of never using black ink, and the heartfelt appreciation he received after the show. The episode, shot in October and telecast on January 15th, became historic. A few days later, on January 18th, 1996, NTR passed away suddenly, making that telecast one of the last candid conversations with the legendary leader.Satish Babu also shares insider perspectives on YSR's meteoric rise--how TV amplified his popularity, why his death triggered an emotional wave across Andhra Pradesh, and the rare culture of devotion that led to suicides after his passing. He highlights the role of media in building leaders, and the personal connection his own family felt during that time. From Jayalalitha's humiliation in the Tamil Nadu Assembly and her vow to become CM, to Chandrababu Naidu's bomb blast episode, Satish Babu analyzes how leaders face crises, and what journalists must learn from such moments. He recalls the attack on IPS Umesh Chandra, naxalite encounters, and the balance required to report injustice on both sides. The podcast then travels into the Telangana agitation: KCR's hunger strike, the Million March at Tank Bund, and the role of electronic media in intensifying the movement. Satish Babu reflects on why movements succeed, when they lose control, and why KCR eventually faced defeat after a decade of power.Beyond politics, we see Satish Babu the person; camera-shy, preferring to stay behind the scenes, sometimes battling alcohol, yet brutally honest about its effect on his career. He opens up about facing hate comments, accusations of bias, corruption allegations, and why a journalist's job is to reveal truth regardless of party lines.Drawing inspiration from Karan Thapar's fearless interviewing style, he explains the difference between seeing and truly observing. From covering disturbing bomb culture stories in Kadapa, to calling Justice Waghray directly for NTR's case while still in his twenties, to recording voices of constables in Adilabad encounters, Satish Babu's career shows what fearless journalism looks like.Along the way, he remembers unusual incidents: a temple shut down after Dalit entry, Gandhi Hospital negligence case, his first computer bought with a 1-lakh loan (20 MB hard disk, 2 MB RAM), and acting cameos in films like Ganesh and Yatra. In this episode, Satish Babu also talks about family, women's role in his life, profit vs. principles in journalism, and advice for the next generation of creators. For him, contributions may feel “negligible,” but his legacy of courage speaks volumes.Whether it is Dharmapeetam's 50 bold episodes, the final interview with Gaddar just before his attack, or the emotional truths of Telangana politics, Satish Babu Garu's journey reminds us why journalism matters. If you're someone curious about Telugu politics, fearless interviews, the evolution of journalism, leadership stories, and insider perspectives on NTR, YSR, KCR, Jayalalitha, and Chandrababu Naidu, this episode is a must-listen.

Send us a textWhat makes the difference between a mediocre organization and a thriving one? The answer lies not in policies or procedures, but in a leader's ability to paint the big picture vision that connects every team member to a larger purpose.Leadership expert Neeraja Ganesh shares a powerful insight that could transform how you lead: "If you were to get 15 minutes with the CEO of every company in the country," she explains, "I would tell them to draw out the big picture to every employee." When people understand how their individual contributions enable the organization's vision—from small tasks like filling spreadsheets to major initiatives—they'll deliver exceptional results without needing micromanagement. But communication is only the beginning. Organizations need to foster intrapreneurship (giving people freedom to develop solutions to problems they identify) and practice genuine inclusion (not just diversity checkboxes). Neeraja illustrates this through her own experience, where an employer made accommodations that enabled her professional growth and ultimately benefited the organization. For employees, the message is equally powerful: take ownership. Rather than quietly accepting workplace challenges or simply complaining, approach problems with solutions. "What would you do in your homes if you don't like something?" Neerja asks. "Not throw a tantrum... but try to communicate and go with a solution."The conversation explores additional insights about community-building as leadership, developing T-shaped skills, embracing AI, and building personal visibility. Throughout runs a consistent thread: great leadership isn't about control but about creating environments where everyone can contribute their best work. Are you ready to transform your leadership approach? Listen now and discover how to create ripples of inspiration throughout your organization.Have you purchased the copy of Inspire Someone Today, yet - Give it a go geni.us/istbook Available on all podcast platforms, including, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Spotify

Dr. Ganesh Anand is an Associate Professor of Chemistry as well as Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The Pennsylvania State University (or Penn State University) at the University Park campus. He is also an elected Board Member of the International Society for Hydrogen/Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry (HDX-MS). Research in Ganesh's lab examines molecular switches. He wants to know how molecules interact with one another and how they switch from one state to another. These tiny molecular switches act almost like electrical switches turning on and off the functions of different molecules. He also does research on viruses and how they change shape to infect their hosts. Beyond his scientific interests, Ganesh has also been passionate about music for as long as he can remember. He takes voice lessons now and enjoys singing in choirs in his free time. He received his bachelor's degree in pharmacy and his master's degree in biological sciences from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India. Next, Ganesh attended Rutgers University where he earned his PhD in biochemistry. Afterwards, he conducted postdoctoral research as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow at the University of California San Diego. Un podcast Bababam Originals Ecrit et raconté par Alice Deroide Learn more about your ad choices. Today, another in our "Some Sunday Context" series, where we bring you new conversations and episodes from the archives that try to help us make sense of life here in 2025. Nathan Fielder's "The Rehearsal" -- unexpectedly -- has many of us thinking about airline safety and aviation policy. His show is concerned with the interpersonal dynamics inside a cockpit, but the larger context is of an industry that has been deregulated, degraded, and ignored to the point where, well... flying really sucks. So, today we bring you an episode we did in December 2023 about the roots of airline deregulation.-------It's December 17th. This day in 1978, holiday travelers are flying around the country under a regulatory system that was about to come to an end. The next year, the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978 would kick in.Jody, NIki, and Kellie are joined by Ganesh Sitaraman of Vanderbilt to discuss how the act changed the competitive structure for airlines — and in turn led to a degradation of service, reliability, and the glamour of flying.Ganesh's new book is “Why Flying is Miserable… And How To Fix It.”Here's our holiday book gift guide! https://thisdaypod.substack.com/p/a-this-day-books-and-merch-gift-guideSign up for our newsletter!
