An episode by episode re-watching of the C4 archaeology documentary series Time Team.
It's time to get back on the Wagon and talk all things archaeological. This week the team are in Ireland, Paul impugns the good name of 'St' Patrick and Sarah shouts MANURE at the end. Another classic episode.
Buildings! Medieval Buildings! Paul is in heaven to say the least. Oh yeah, and maybe the best bit of rogue archaeology we've ever seen occurs.
Hola! Welcome to another exciting episode of archaeology. After the highs of the live episode there was really only one option open to the Time Team; Road trip! We are in Majorca looking for the Beaker people. Sarah struggles to understand what beakers are, Paul gets sniffy at space archaeology, everyone seems a bit cranky from the heat, there's a baby and dogs run amok. So a pretty normal episode. Music by From the Ashes
We are LIVE buddy! All the 90s celebrities come out to play for the first ever live episode of Time Team. And what a beast of a site they are on. Is it a Roman villa? A palace? A mega turbo palace?! Well probably not the last one, but its still pretty impressive! Music by From the Ashes
I'm writing this description at 1am so no details, just enjoy :) Music by From the Ashes
We are back! Happy New Year everyone. Same stuff as always. Archaeology, the 90s and Paul and Sarah getting distracted. Perfect :)
We are back (at least for a week) and Sarah has continued to exist. Archaeology wise, this episode doesn't much Stu in so honestly I don't know what to do with myself. Luckily everyone shines as always and even Tony has a bit of a stonker. Apologies in advance to our American listeners...
Phil's shorts return and they are joined by others, Tony has a new method of getting about, and Mick's broken leg causes 'banter'. Music by From the Ashes
Never mind what the archaeology is today, turns out Sarah recorded this whole episode under the effects of the current global virus of choice, she is a freaking hero! That said, it is a very interesting episode where our heroes head to Malton in North Yorkshire in search of seemingly every possible kind of fancy building. Music by From the Ashes
No proper episode this week but I didn't want to let you all down so here is an interview I did with Phil Harding from a few years back. Normal service will resume. Music by From the Ashes
I due to many distractions I actually had to edit this one and I'm glad that I did cause it's a banger! Lots happening with map lord Stuart, the ongoing tragedy of geophys and Mick's broken leg. But really all you need to know is... Phil's shorts! Music by From the Ashes
It's the one Sarah already watched. The Time Team is off to Birmingham to investigate a 'mysterious' trench that they already know the purpose of. There is shouting, excellent 90s locals and Phil's explosive trench. Music by From the Ashes
Well it had to happen eventually. Sarah and Paul have an admin disaster. The Time Team are trying to answer the riddle of what killed their skeleton, Phil is loudly ill and Tony giggles at all the wrong times.
Time Team hits the road, well the waves, for an episode in the USA. There is tension between the Brits and the Yanks and between Sarah and Paul (but only because Paul might have to cancel himself) Music by From the Ashes
Paul finally admits to Sarah he has stopped editing the podcast and she takes it like a hero. Oh yeah and some archaeology is discussed. More Roman stuff than you can shake a stick at, but why?
Hello everyone. Here we go again with another episode of the excellent Time Team. This time there is frankly too much archaeology being uncovered so why am I wasting time with this description? Let's just get on with it! Music by From the Ashes
Water! Wet suits? Phil out of his element. In this episode Paul and Sarah try to understand how geophys thought they might find dry wood in the sea as Time Team have their first Marine Archaeology episode. Music by From the Ashes
Hello everyone! This episode Paul and Sarah learn the value of checking maps before you start digging holes, what geophys's smug face looks like and the unique sadness of someone's special house being marginally less special. Music by From the Ashes
Some very old archaeology today as Paul and Sarah watch Phil struggle with a massive pile of bones. Fun stuff! Music by From the Ashes
Season 3 already? This week we learn what a Fogou is, and more importantly how to say it! Music by From the Ashes
Hello All I'm editing this on a weekend away on stolen wifi, so you better believe I don't know if I've got all the bits where we don't know what we are doing- so enjoy that! Anyway, in this episode Paul rants about landowners, Sarah has trouble with her light and there are loads of Skeletons. Also, thank you all for listening, if you enjoy this nonsense please consider recommending it to a few friends. Music by From the Ashes
Hello again everyone, hope you are keeping well. Today Paul is far too excited to see loads of people he has worked with, Sarah mostly avoids Archbishop jokes and Tony Robinson seems to be in a low key reboot of Miami Vice. It's archaeology in the 90s- lets do it! Music by From the Ashes
After a week off (because I was too sick to edit the episode last week. Thank you resident germ ridden toddler), we are back! This time we are in Tockenham, Wiltshire on the hunt for an elusive villa. Music by From the Ashes
Things get tense in Sunderland, there's a discrepancy in the episode listing and there are more bow ties to review. Must be another Time Team episode. Music by From the Ashes
New season for Time Team and it's all new at Chronology Crew too. Hail the new permanent co-host Sarah Jones! music by From the Ashes
Another week, another archaeological nostalgia fest! This weeks guest is the incomparable Johnny Chiodini! @johnneh This episode has a possibly drunk Phil in a boat, unexpected angles of arrival and Tony in a wetsuit. Twitter @AskanArch IG @peedeemcgee Music by 'From the Ashes'
Another Sunday another dip into the archives of the most excellent Time Team. This week I'm joined by comedian and podcaster (and spoilers, future cohost, though we didn't know it at this point) Sarah Jones. @Sarah_Jokes Twitter @AskanArch IG @PeeDeeMcGee Music by From the Ashes
Another dive back into the grim dark past of the 90s through the lense of the most kick ass documentary series ever. This week I'm joined by comedian and not archaeologist Eleanor Morton @EleanorMorton Music by From the Ashes Twitter @AskanArch IG @PeeDeeMcGee #archaeology #timeteam #documentary
Welcome to the first episode of Chronology Crew, the completely unofficial Time Team retrospective podcast. Listen as professional archaeologist Paul Duncan Mcgarrity goes episode by episode through one of the most influential archaeological programs ever made. Each week he is joined by a guest who has never seen Time Team before in a haphazard experiment to see if just a single hour of 90's archaeology will get them to retrain.
