Nuestro cuarto capítulo de la serie Pueblos Patrimonio de Colombia se ocupa de Honda, Villa de Guaduas y Pore, territorios que a pesar de encontrarse separados en su geografía, están unidos por varios elementos importantes. Estos tres pueblos se encuentran en la periferia de lo que hoy conocemos como el altiplano cundiboyacense, zona dentro de la región central andina, y su ubicación geográfica hizo de estos municipios puntos clave de conexión para la vida prehispánica, la colonia, las independencias y la república. Gracias a los yacimientos arqueológicos sabemos que hubo importantes rutas comerciales prehispánicas que luego colonizadores y criollos aprovecharon para el beneficio de sus empresas, aprovechando una extensa diversidad de cultivos producidos a lo largo y alto de los pisos térmicos de la región. Honda, “La ciudad de los puentes”, fue el puerto fluvial más importante del país, porque conectaba el Caribe con Bogotá a través del río Magdalena. Todavía allí se preserva una cultura alrededor del río y se promueve la pescadería como conocimiento ancestral. Por su parte, la Villa de Guadas o “Tierra de Policarpa Salavarrieta” es la cuna de importantes eventos y personajes históricos, especialmente durante las Independencias, marcando el paso entre Honda y Bogotá con el Camino Real o el Camino de la Sal. Finalmente, Pore, “Una herencia encantadora”, es el Pueblo Patrimonio más reciente hasta el momento, ya que fue declarado como tal en 2021, y es uno de los más importantes puntos de entrada desde el centro del país hacia el Casanare, tierra de la valiosa cultura llanera del Oriente.
