Send us Fan MailA pet medicine mishap kicks things off as we relive “Pilgate,” the moment Brik knocked arthritis meds off the counter and Bernoulli and Beaker ate a truly scary number of pills. Once everyone is safe, we shift to a bigger question that hits home for parents and teachers: are we asking kids to learn on devices that are built to distract them?We break down the changing screen time recommendations in schools, including major limits like those adopted by Los Angeles Unified, and why the evidence keeps pointing in the same direction: excessive classroom screen use is linked with weaker attention, worse reading outcomes, less handwriting, and more off-task behavior. We're careful about cause versus correlation, but we also get practical about what teachers see every day when an “entertainment machine” sits on a desk for hours. We talk about when technology actually helps, like targeted practice and the right science simulations, and why paper still wins so often. Then it's pet science time. A 2026 iScience study uses dog fMRI to test whether dogs can read emotion from human faces alone. The results are surprisingly sweet: happy faces light up reward-related brain regions, and dogs show different brain patterns for different negative expressions, even without voice, smell, or body language. Finally, we welcome back Dr. Jen Golbeck, professor, social media and AI researcher, and author of Think Like a Dog. We explore positive psychology for dogs, whether dogs “laugh,” how scent work can give a dog purpose, and how understanding a dog's perspective can improve behavior and well-being. This week, your favorite former puppeteers revisit The Muppet Show episode featuring comedy legend Gilda Radner, where the biggest scene-stealer isn't Kermit, Miss Piggy, or even Gonzo—it's a bottle of Muppet Labs Super Adhesive. What starts as another "perfectly safe" demonstration from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker quickly spirals into one of the show's funniest running gags, as the adhesive proves remarkably good at one thing: sticking absolutely everything to absolutely everything else. Before long, Muppets, props, and unsuspecting bystanders are becoming one giant felt-and-foam sculpture, while Gilda gamely throws herself into the escalating chaos with the commitment of someone who clearly understood the assignment. We'll break down why this episode is such a masterclass in visual comedy, how the Muppets turn a simple gag into twenty-five minutes of comic gold, and why Gilda Radner's fearless, playful energy made her a perfect fit for the Muppet Theater. It's slapstick, super glue, and spectacular puppetry—the kind of episode that reminds us the best Muppet jokes don't just land... they stick.Send us Fan MailJoin the discussion on our discord! https://discord.gg/JDtWJrhPF6Follow us on twitter @PMoNPodcast and on Instagram and Threads @puppetmastersofnoneFind out more about the puppet masters on our website: https://puppetmastersofnone.wixsite.com/puppetmastersofnoneOriginal Music Composed by Taetro. @Taetro  https://www.taetro.com/

In this episode of Puppets GO BOOM!, Arun and Patricia discuss about the 1961 sci-fi action series Supercar. Supercar is about 3 people working at a secret organization in Black Rock, Nevada named Mike Mercury, Professor Rudolph Popkiss, and Dr. Horatio Beaker. One day, they rescue a young boy named Jimmy, his older brother Bill, and his monkey Mitch after a plane crash resulting in being lost at sea. After rescuing them thanks to Supercar, a vehicle with the ability to fly, go underwater, and travel into space, Jimmy and Mitch live with Mike, Professor Popkiss, and Dr. Beaker where they go on different missions to rescue people and stop the evil plans of Master Spy and his partner Zarin. When the show premiered, it became a big hit and would be the prototype of many Supermarionation shows that would come out later. It was the first very first show under the Supermarionation name, the first Supermarionation show that was produced by AP Films, and the first show that was commissioned by British proprietor Lew Grade. How well does it rank compared to the later Supermarionation shows? How is it as a standalone show?

How on earth can a neck injection eliminate teeth sensitivity? Can a patient's tooth sensitivity really be linked to their occlusion? Is occlusal adjustment ever indicated for sensitivity? And what's the actual mechanism behind those cases where everything looks fine — no cracks, no significant wear, no exposed dentine — yet the patient still complains their teeth are sensitive? In this episode, Dr. Nick Yiannios shares the concept of Sympathetic Dental Hypersensitivity (SDH), a groundbreaking way of understanding sensitivity that goes beyond the usual suspects like caries, erosion, or leakage. We dive into how the sympathetic nervous system in the pulp can drive unexplained pain, why traditional approaches often fail, and how objective tools like T-Scan and EMG can reveal what articulating paper misses. This could completely change the way you diagnose and manage those “mystery” sensitivity cases that just don't add up. https://youtu.be/a2Mg72Y_zkw Watch PDP240 on Youtube Protrusive Dental Pearl: When fitting a resin-bonded bridge (RBB), if you're unsure about the fit and cement gap, use light-bodied PVS on the intaglio surface of the wing.
