Robert A. Buell was convicted for the July 17, 1982 murder of 11 year old Krista Lea Harrison. Krista had been only 100 yards from her home when she was kidnapped by Buell. Her body was found 6 days later. It was evidence found at this scene that helped forensic scientist connect Buell to two more murders of young girls. Not limited to just children, Buell also abduct, rape, and torture 28 year old Debbie Davis and 29 year old Patricia Lively. Both Debbie and Patricia survived their attacks. Special news broadcast: Jane Doe B-10 has been identified as 14 year old Wendy Stephens, a runaway from Colorado. Confirmed to have been a victim of the Green River killer. Gary Ridgway was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for the premeditated murder of Wendy Stephens in 2003. At that time of sentencing her identity was unknown. In total Ridgway was convicted for the deaths of 48 women, 2 still remain unidentified.
Following his third punishment trial, David Lee Powell was convicted and sentence to death for the 1978 capital murder of Austin Police Officer Ralph Ablanedo. He requests a Certificate Of Appealability ("COA") authorizing him to appeal the district court's denial of federal habeas relief. On December 26th, 1996, 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey was reported missing to Boulder Colorado Police. Her Mother informed the Police that there was a ransom note claiming that the kidnappers were going to killer their daughter if they did not pay the $118,000 as demanded. It wasn't until later, that JonBenet's body was discovered in the basement of the Ramsey home. On May 26th, 2012, Miami Police Dispatch received a call about a naked man on the MacAuthor Causeway. Upon the Police's arrival, they found 31 year old Rudy Eugene on top of another person, biting and tearing flesh from 65 year old Ronald Poppo's face. The incident was soon dubbed "The Causeway Cannibal", "The Miama Zombie" and "The Bath Salts Attack" by media from around the world. On March 21, 1985, Sherry Byrne told her husband that she was going to meet up with family friends, David and Kathy Brewer regarding audio speakers. When Sherry arrived though, she found David alone and the invitation to be a ruse. Brewer then raped, abducted and murdered Byrne. Brewer was convicted of Byrne's murder and sentenced to death.
