Welcome to another edition of the MHOD Jukebox, where the riffs are heavy and the commentary is heavier. On this episode, Mark Radulich, Jesse Starcher, Robert Cooper, and Mik Wanamaker dive deep into the fuzzy, funk-laced world of Crobot! We kick things off with a blast of industrial groove from White Zombie, then take a quick stroll through Crobot's history—where they came from, what they sound like, and how they carved out their niche in modern rock. From there, it's on to their breakout hit “Low Life”, a full review of their latest album Obsidian, and a look at how it stacks up against past efforts like Welcome to Fat City.We also take a moment to reflect on key events from May 18th in metal history, including the passing of Chris Cornell and the legacy of Blind Guardian, Soulfly, and HammerFall. And because this is MHOD, you know it wouldn't be complete without a bit of black metal nonsense from Immortal, a detour into OnlyFans coaching, and a punchy closer from Five Finger Death Punch.Plug in and turn it up—this one's got riffs, laughs, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.White Zombie - More Human Than Humanhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0E0ynyIUsgCrobot - "Low Life" Official Music Video (MOTHERBRAIN)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPi_SaFsMf8Crobot - Nothing (Official Music Video)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CKT3LXQKec&list=PLVPMBFr-dNGWxLvdFACIxmCLaMKnq0Q0B&index=15Immortal - Call Of The Wintermoonhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VBdAY8eA9wFive Finger Death Punch - Jekyll And Hydehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCBPmxiVMKkMik Wanamakers Onlyfans: https://onlyfans.com/asirencreatesMark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

As a teenager, Chris Cornell was traumatized by a bad PCP trip that turned him into a recluse for years. Music pulled him out of the darkness when he discovered his four-octave voice by accident – A voice he used to incredible effect as the frontman for both Soundgarden and Audioslave. But the darkness never really went away – it was there in his hometown of Seattle, where tragedies closed the chapter on grunge, and in his music, which was authentic to the very end. Summary: “I'm sorry, what was that? No, the second part…the part that came after that…” METALCORE seems to be all over the place, in that its components are quite varied and cover a broad spectrum of everything that has historically made metal awesome: double bass drumming, guitar shred, breakdowns and mosh parts, and sometimes even some emo screaming and heartfelt vocals sung straight from the balls. Like a heavy metal jambalaya with a ton of different ingredients, METALCORE is the next wave of metal for a new generation of metalheads who want to enjoy a little bit of everything all at once. Be sure to stop “adulting” and remember that “when people lose their argument, they shift their whole stance”. Realize the darker connotations of saying “I did a thing today” and understand that Cory Hart wears his sunglasses at night because it's terrifying to be “blinded by the light”. Get ready to ponder the entertainment value of a “scientifically accurate Spiderman”, brace for some quality “decoction” bloopers from the cutting room floor of “Transition Hospital”, accept the fact that there are still some folks who believe “a non-tattooed 6 is way hotter than a fully tatted 10”, grab yourself “a hot pocket” and JOIN US as we sample the smorgasbord of modern fusion metal known as METALCORE. Why do I feel so guilty, Slackers? In a recent podcast, Tom Morello and Billy Corgan discussed a number of topics, but when Billy talked about "Gen X not having a second act” and Tom said he had “Punk Rock Guilt”, this really struck a chord with me.Growing up in the ‘80s and ‘90s—amid economic flux, cultural cynicism, and punk's rebirth via hardcore and grunge — gave us a somewhat strange worldview. In 1989 Family Ties ended while Seinfeld just started to air. We went from wholesome to cynical in the blink of an eye.Morello talked about the uneasy feeling of raging against the system only to end up part of it - is that just an inevitable part of growing up or have we somehow let our younger, more idealistic selves down?As a parent I often wrestle with whether I have done the right things for my kids. And I certainly lament my restless, rudderless youth. This episode is a reflection on my own personal (and Gen X's) struggle to reconcile our hedonistic, yet oddly idealistic, youth with the quiet regrets of middle age.
Join Cheryl Lee - That Radio Chick on STILL ROCKIN' IT for news, reviews, music and interviews with some of our favourite Australian musicians.Have you ever wondered how a junior tennis prodigy, who once had dreams of sports stardom, finds himself captivating audiences worldwide as the frontman of an INXS tribute band? Meet Dellacoma Rio, whose journey from the tennis courts of the US to embodying the legendary Michael Hutchence is a tale of resilience and passion. I had the pleasure of chatting with Dellacoma, who shared the unexpected twists of his career, including a detour into acting, a corporate stint as an operations manager, and the eventual call of music that he couldn't resist. Known for his striking resemblance to Michael, Dellacoma embraced this uncanny likeness, turning it into a tribute show that transcends mere imitation, offering fans an authentic INXS experience. From the unique video productions that recreate the grandeur of a Wembley-style concert, to the band's global performances in places like Dubai, India, and Japan, Del brings us into the heart of the incredible Australian INXS Tribute Show. We also touched on his band, Dellacoma, and their acoustic cover of Audioslave's "Like a Stone," giving us a glimpse of exciting new music slated for 2025. Wrapping up, we reflected on the deeper theme of striving for more than just survival, inspired by the powerful messages in his music. Tawny and Lisa discuss a recent essay in The Guardian titled I tried ‘intermittent sobriety'. Here's what I learned jumping on and off the wagon by Arwa Mahdawi. They appreciate the author's candid approach to harm reduction for the sake of self-discovery. Intermittent sobriety is similar to sober curiosity in that they both encourage thoughtful consideration in reevaluating one's relationship with alcohol without going fully sober. These booze-breaks can be regular, planned periods of sobriety or spontaneous decisions. Changing rituals, “playing the tape forward,” and spicy food-induced dopamine (!) are all suggested ways to help. PS! Spillelistene til musikken det snakkes om ligger lenger ned i beskrivelsen.
S8E5 went out live from Sedgefield at 19h00 on 30 Jan 2025. It was great to be back doing a live show. Last week's excursion to watch Green Day the Offspring and SA's own Fokofpolisiekar was amazing, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The Twisted Twins became Triplets at the last minute we had three tracks called ‘Ashes' by Five Finger Death Punch, Black Tide, and Angra respectively. The Rock and Metal Time Machine looked at 4 events in history involving Green Day, Sid Vicious, The Rolling Stones, and Guns N' Roses. We had Pink Floyd ‘Sheep' in the Immortals slot and Glyn Johns as the producer in The Diabolical Challenge: The four albums featured came from the Who, New Model Army, the Eagles, and Eric Clapton. We got new SA music from Sheron, and Diverted Disorder and the first song written by The Uninvited. Artists featured: Newsted, LIVE, Junkyard, ACDC, Megadeth, Rammstein, Korn, Theory of a Deadman, Motor Sister, Shadow Storm, W.A.S.P., Ayron Jones, The Temperance Movement, Five Finger Death Punch, Black Tide, Angra, Green Day, Sex Pistols, The Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Johnny Lang, Gov't Mule, Judas Priest, Audioslave, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, New Model Army, the Who, Diverted Disorder, Sheron, The Uninvited, Mastodon, Lamb of God. We are excited to catch up with Legendary guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. Tom chats and very proudly brags about his young 13 year old son Roman who has turned into a virtuoso guitarist in his own right. He speaks about Battle of LA album turning 25 years old and other projects during his career. He talks about an upcoming benefit concert at the Roxy and a future solo project coming up. We enjoyed his company and laughs!
On this week's episode of Artist Friendly, Joel Madden is joined by Brandon Saller of Atreyu. Over the past year, the Orange County metalcore vets have stayed furiously busy. In 2022, they put out an EP trilogy that began with The Hope of a Spark and continued with The Moment You Find Your Flame and A Torch In The Dark. Those releases culminated in the band's heavy but reflective ninth studio album, The Beautiful Dark of Life. Then, earlier this year, Atreyu unleashed The Pronoia Sessions — a 10-song collection that takes eight of their hits “to a whole new place” and features a pair of covers (Audioslave and Tom Petty). Welcome to The Singers Talk Podcast based on my book of the same name. This week you'll hear my conversation with Tom Morello on the earth-shattering voice of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden / Audioslave). We first met Tom as the guitarist of the legendary Rage Against the Machine, but soon after they disbanded, he joined together with Chris Cornell to form Audioslave, which saw both men reach new heights, critically and commercially. What these two guys also have in common is they are both considered the best in their field: kicking ass. What we're getting here is a beautiful, fun, heartbreaking and revealing conversation about one of the greatest vocalists of all time. And it'll make you miss that voice even more than we already do. God bless you, Chris. All my writer's royalties from sales of the book benefit the kids and families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through our Music Gives to St. Jude Kids campaign.
