Three cranky old guys who love film and TV share their thoughts and opinions on what's worth your time and what isn't.
VAST OF NIGHT is fantastic. SPACE FORCE is the opposite of that. Marty gets some technology that changes his life. Warren is infatuated with THE PAINTER AND THE THIEF. Dave wasted a lot time watching bad stuff.
We did our part to help flatten the curve, so now we're back sharing what we liked and what made us cranky while sheltering at home. EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IS FAR AWAY sounds interesting after hearing Warren describe it. Marty is old and doesn't like the Hulu onscreen menu. Dave takes issue with the lack of authenticity in ZERO ZERO ZERO.
We talk the finales of OUTSIDER and MCMILLION$. Marty enjoyed the low-budget ONE CUT OF THE DEAD. YESTERDAY disappoints. But not as much as NARCOS: MEXICO.
Ten episodes already? That's nuts. Plenty of crank this episode. Mixed review from Warren on THE INVISIBLE MAN. Marty isn't diggin' PICARD. Dave has abandoned HUNTERS.
May be our crankiest episode yet. We bring down the hammer on LOCKE & KEY and HUNTERS. But there is love for THE OUTSIDER and WEST WING, mostly.
Dave goes straight from SONIC THE HEDGEHOG to the podcast recording. Warren is blown away by Jimmy McGill just in time for the new season. Marty talks about THE FRANKENSTEIN CHRONICLES and loses Dave along the way.
We're a little more cranky than usual in this episode, which is fun. Dave makes a good choice. Marty does not. And Warren has something to say about how you're eating popcorn in the theatre.
We cover a lot of ground in this episode. We talk WHAT DID JACK DO?, THE OUTSIDER, and 1917. We also bring Netflix and AVENUE 5 to the Crank Table.
Warren finally sees JOKER and has some interesting thoughts about it. Dave loved TROOP ZERO. Marty like JOJO RABBIT, but not as much as Dave. And we keep it Oscar-focused for the Crank Table.
In this episode, we respond to a listener request. Warren reminisces about MRS. ROBINSON. And we learn war makes Dave cranky. We also talk about DRACULA, A MARRIAGE STORY, and MODERN LOVE.
Lots of fun stuff in this episode. We talk about Danny DeVito in JUMANJI 2. We tackle the cultural issue of guys going (or not going) to see LITTLE WOMEN. And have you heard about GUAVA ISLAND?
We're back and we offer our deep insightful takes on why the latest STAR WARS missed its mark, why 60 MINUTES is the best in its class, and why DON'T F**K WITH CATS makes for compelling viewing.
We talk WATCHMEN, THE LIGHTHOUSE and FORD V. FERRARI. We get cranky about STAR WARS, THE MANDALORIAN and CGI. And we share what films we liked best in 2019. It's a great way to kill a half-hour.
