A strange pattern is emerging. From the Verizon outage that left people across the U.S. suddenly disconnected… to fresh rumors tied to Venezuela… to escalating tensions involving Iran… the idea of directed energy weapons is no longer confined to science fiction. In this episode, we revisit Havana Syndrome—what's been reported, what's been debated, and why it still matters—before connecting it to a larger theme we've been tracking: the growing danger faced by scientists around the world. And in the finale, we share a shocking All Things Unexplained revelation—something a respected academic scientist told us years ago off-air about colleagues who were allegedly attacked by a weapon that left visible physical damage, and why they refuse to travel outside the United States.Update: After recording this episode, there was breaking news via CNN regarding Havana Syndrome. Head over to the full video version of this podcast on our YouTube channel for that update: https://www.youtube.com/live/wRsgdwDSZuY?si=39pcXhm2bVVzTaFC This is a story about modern power, invisible threats, and the unsettling question of what's happening behind the scenes.

There are many reasons why Bari Weiss was chosen to lead CBS News. Let's talk about her views on race and racism and how that made her an attractive boss for the new owners of CBS. #treystablepodcast
2025 was a horrible year for me, from my son being diagnosed with cancer (he's still got 2 months of 6 months chemotherapy to go), to losing my job and much more. The above explains a little why I increasingly wasn't in the right headspace to record podcasts as the year went on. Luckily for me Chris & Adam kept the 60MW audio output in your ears. However, I'm looking towards a more positive 2026, and what better way to get our podcasts started in this new year than by myself and Ramrod getting back behind the mic again to continue our '60 Minutes into' series of shows. In this episode we watch 1997's The RAGE and make our predictions after watching 1 hour of it. Thanks for sticking with us, it's always very much appreciated.

Let's call this a Christmas Bonus. We hope you had a fantastic holiday and look forward to a great two weeks with some down time. I can't do a podcast on Friday due to travel but we have a couple nice segment from the radio show on Wednesday we think you may enjoy. First, will the over reaction to the Chiefs move to Kansas simmer down? Then, why don't the Chiefs have a site identified. The most obvious reason could be shocking to you. Also, if the Royals have a "complex" situation according to Senate president Ty Masterson but have met the December 31 STAR bond deadline, what is going on? There's only two things it could be. And finally, 60 Minutes pulled a hit piece on Trump last week and now the president is getting the last laugh. You have to hear this.

A 60 Minutes piece about CECOT and criminal gang bangers being deported from America there gets leaked online, days after new CBS News boss Bari Weiss killed it. The network becomes a focal point of liberal resistance to fair and balanced reporting. Late night TV is a nearly 100% bastion of leftist ideology as The View is revealed to only have had 2 "conservative" guests on during the entirety of 2025. Trump kills a ridiculous oceanic windmill program that was killing whales and democrats flip.
By Amy Goodman & Denis Moynihan News organizations cannot function under corrupt corporate control, answering to billionaire bosses and politicians. When that happens, democracy dies, and dictators rise.

I have no idea what holiday is attached to December 23rd, but I'm sure it's an amazing one. Trying to bring positivity to a week that featured "60 Minutes" falling apart and the Epstein file release being twisted by Trump's DOJ is quite a task. So in keeping with the season, let the silver linings be many and your holiday have all the cheer you deserve.Take care of one another.Love,-T

Today's Headlines: CBS News is in full self-own mode after killing a 60 Minutes segment on El Salvador's CECOT megaprison—right before airtime—because leadership said it didn't “advance the story” or sufficiently platform the administration, despite months of reporting and unanswered requests for comment. Predictably, the backlash ensured way more people now care about the story than ever would have otherwise. Meanwhile, a federal judge let former CECOT detainee, Kilmar Abrego-Garcia remain free while his case continues, openly questioning whether ICE can be trusted to follow court orders at all. The DOJ, in the spirit of never taking a hint, is also appealing the dismissal of Trump's revenge prosecutions against James Comey and Letitia James, insisting Halligan was totally legit, therefore the indictment stands. At the FBI, Director Kash Patel is reportedly cruising around in a custom armored BMW with massage seats—purchased at his request—because Suburbans apparently don't scream “covert.” Elsewhere, the US is chasing another Venezuelan oil tanker in international waters (Venezuela calls it piracy), Trump is back to casually trying to acquire Greenland via a part-time envoy who is also the governor of Louisiana, and the administration is pulling dozens of career diplomats from posts around the world for reasons it will not explain. Dems seek to find Bondi in contempt, because actual accountability isn't a thing anymore. And finally, Trump capped off 2025 by announcing plans for new “Trump Class” Navy warships, which feels spiritually correct as a closing note. Alicia Menendez is in for Nicolle Wallace. Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, joins Alicia to talk about the frustration Epstein survivors are feeling after an underwhelming release of the Epstein files. DOJ has yet to release additional files, which is in clear defiance of Congress and the law.Later, Frank Kendall, Ben Rhodes, and Eddie Glaude join Alicia to discuss the escalating tensions between the U.S. and Venezuela as the U.S. increases military presence and activity in the region. Finally, Alicia covers Bari Weiss' controversial leadership at CBS News and her decision to hold the most recent episode of “60 Minutes.” The episode was about the cruel reality of the El Salvadoran prison, CECOT, where many deportees are sent from the U.S. For more, follow us on Instagram @deadlinewhTo listen to this show and other MS NOW podcasts without ads, sign up for MS NOW Premium on Apple Podcasts. Veteran 60 minutes correspondent Sharon Alfonsi wrote a private email to her colleagues about why she believes her segment on deplorable conditions for deported migrants was pulled at the 11th hour by new CBS Editor-In-Chief Bari Weiss. That email has now been made public, and in it, Alfonsi says her story was vetted, promoted and ready for air, when Weiss pulled it for so called “editorial” reasons. Alfonsi isn’t buying it, saying the network’s decision is a “betrayal of the most basic tenet of journalism.” See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

CBS News pulled an investigative report on 60 Minutes just a day before it was set to air. It promised a look at allegations of abuse and torture suffered by men deported by the Trump administration and sent to a prison in El Salvador. Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss said the segment would eventually run, but it needed comment from the administration. William Brangham discussed more with Brian Stelter. Monday will be better than Sunday for the Chiefs as the state of Kansas is set to announce somewhere between $2-$3 billion will be given to ownership to build a new stadium, offices and practice facilities. This the beginning of the end of the Truman Sports Complex. The team is absolutely embarrassed on the field against he lowly Titans Sunday. I can't remember anything this ugly. The college football playoff got it's first road team winners ever this weekend but the other two games are not even worthy of watching. This system has a big flaw. Mizzou takes on Illinois in the Braggin' Rights game in St. Louis. At Turning Point's AmericaFest, comedian Rob Schneider's jokes about Candace Owens prove one of the most powerful things about American Conservatism. CBS pulls a 60 minutes piece on the CECOT prison in El Salvador, what's this about? A reviewer doesn't care much for 1587 Steakhouse and Powerball's super sized jackpot would make one great stocking stuffer.
The US is pursuing an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela. The Justice Department's release of the Epstein files is causing widespread criticism. We explain why the pulling of an episode of “60 minutes” has caused internal turmoil at CBS. Police in Australia say the suspected Bondi Beach gunmen threw bombs into the crowd which did not go off. If Turning Point USA's AmericaFest is any indicator, MAGA, conservatives and conspiracy theorists are no longer aligned. From so called ‘Heritage Americans' being more important than other more recent Americans to America First policies and blatant racism/antisemitism, the speakers at the event ripped into each other. The infighting was so awkward, Erika Kirk said it “Feels like a Thanksgiving dinner where your family's hashing out the family business,” JD Vance tried to laugh it off but ended up doing little to bring people together. Don breaks down the explosive reporting surrounding CBS chief Bari Weiss pulling a planned 60 Minutes segment, a decision that has sent shockwaves through the journalism world. Don also highlights the courage of reporter Sharyn Alfonsi, who spoke out forcefully against the move in a blistering internal critique, raising urgent questions about editorial independence, corporate pressure, and the future of one of the most trusted names in American journalism. What does this say about the direction CBS is taking? Who gets to decide what stories the public is allowed to see? On CrimsonCast Ep. 1293, Galen Clavio and Scott Caulfield react to Indiana football's national breakout moment on 60 Minutes and what it says about the program's new place in the sport — including the small details that made the segment resonate with a broader audience. Then it's full Rose Bowl / College Football Playoff quarterfinal mode as Indiana draws Alabama. The guys break down what the Crimson Tide look like right now, including QB Ty Simpson, Alabama's passing game strengths, questions in the run game, and which personnel Indiana must account for. They also discuss the coaching chess match, including Kalen DeBoer and DC Kane Wommack, and why Indiana's structure under OC Mike Shanahan and DC Bryant Haines translates well to a neutral-site playoff environment. Finally, Galen and Scott step back to evaluate the College Football Playoff after another round of lopsided results — debating access, perception, and why “who belongs” conversations often reveal more about bias than football.

Join Jim and Greg for the Wednesday 3 Martini Lunch as they vent over Senate Republicans being far too generous in extending Obamacare subsidies, Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson calling America the “Great Satan,” and the mainstream media suddenly embracing Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene now that she's feuding with President Trump.First, they shake their heads as Senate Republicans propose extending the “emergency” COVID-era Obamacare subsidies for adults making up to seven times the federal poverty level. The GOP plan does change how the subsidies are delivered and it's better than the Democrats' plan. But should there be a plan at all for an emergency that ended years ago?Next, they unload on Rep. Hank Johnson. Formerly just comic relief in Congress for asking things like whether a greater U.S. military presence on Guam would make the island tip over, Johnson is now openly calling the U.S. "the Great Satan," echoing terrorist groups and their benefactors in Iran. Finally, they marvel at the sudden mainstream media fascination with Marjorie Taylor Greene. After years of dismissing her as extreme, reporters are now eager to interview her as long as it fans the flames of GOP infighting with President Trump. Please visit our great sponsors:Before you check out for the holidays, do one smart thing for your future with Noble Gold.
