We review the brand new Netflix movie about Eurovision, "Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga".
With no Eurovision in 2020 it seemingly was a bleak time for all Eurovision fans and podcasts alike. But do you think that is going to stop us from doing at least one episode? Absolutely not! Ben is joined by Jarrod and Alex to discuss all things related to the cancelled Eurovision Song Contest for 2020, including just what they all thought of the songs, why Australia may have dodged a bullet in not having their song compete this year, just why it was weird watching a Zoom call for two hours and why we are still salty that Lithuania didn’t enter a song about having basketball players in the contest. You’ll be singing away and counting down the days until we can talk about the contest proper again in 2021, so get to listening!
Well, we made a promise that we would cover Junior Eurovision this year and guess what? We keep our promises! But is it a promise that we are going to regret? Ben and Jarrod try and work out what on earth they just watched and also try to work out if there were actually any different songs this year. They also try and figure out if Australia should’ve even bothered, what on earth France were singing about, whether or not Portugal could afford to be there and why on earth anybody would want to visit Poland after watching this. Whether it was good or not, it certainly was interesting so get to listening and get your opinions into overdrive!
It’s that sad moment where we have to close out another Eurovision for another year as we go over everything that happened in the 2019 final and give our thoughts overall on how the greatest song competition in the world went this year. Are we all satisfied with the Netherlands finally breaking their drought and winning? Was Australia robbed or did they finish where they should’ve? What was the deal with North Macedonia getting so many votes? Were the hosts tolerable or did we just want them to shut up? What on earth happened with Madonna? And will Ben, Alex or Jarrod walk away with the EurOzvision title for predictions in 2019? It’s all here and more as we wrap up our 2019 Eurovision coverage in style!
You’ve watched both the semi-finals, you’ve heard all the songs, but now it’s time to come together and try and predict exactly what will happen at the 2019 Eurovision final! We go over each of the two semi-finals to see just if there were any big shocks, which one was better and how awesome it was that San Marino made it through to the big dance for only the second time. We also talk about the draw and what that means for Australia’s chances, and also find out if Australia really has any legitimate chance of winning. Then come our predictions, as Ben, Jarrod and Alex each provide their finishing order for the final and give their winners picks to see who will be the best placed host in less than 24 hours time. It’s the only podcast you need to listen to right now, so tune in and get yourself pumped up for the 2019 Eurovision final in the best possible way!

YAY! Just what is our take on the entries for 2019? Do any of these songs stand out or do we feel as though they’re a little too ‘same same’? Did Australia make the right choice with our entry? How many times should we hear Golden Boy throughout the broadcast? Just why is Iceland due for a win finally? Or should we say that for the Netherlands, Italy or Spain? How is there a big Canadian connection to the competition this year? And why are so many people trying to sound like Fuego? It’s the biggest preview episode you’ll hear this week as we once again bring you our tips ahead of the semi-finals and also try to answer why on earth the United Kingdom even bother entering anymore! So tune in and tune up! EUROVISION IS HERE!
Sadly another year of Eurovision has come to a close but that doesn’t mean we’re not back to recap everything that happened during the final and look ahead to next year! And which city will next year take place in? It’s all here and more as our 2018 look at Eurovision closes in the best possible way!
