Meet more Stars of Eurovision 2026 this week.     Bzikebi (Georgia 2026) with JP at Eurovision in Concert 2026 in Amsterdam   Interview with Bzikebi (Georgia 2026):  It was in 2008 when the seeds wee planted as group Bzikebi were created out of Georgi and two ladies both called Miriam as little wasps not only representing Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 but also winning the contest with the song "Bzzzz". Now 18 years on the three members have grown and once again will represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the song "On Replay".  Radio International's JP had the big pleasure meeting the three once again at the recent edition of the Eurovision in Concert in Amsterdam. Listen to the interview on the show this week.        Felicia (Sweden 2026) with JP at the London Preview Event 2026 Interview with Felicia (Sweden 2026): The Winner of Sweden's Melodifestivalen 2026 will automatically also represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. Sweden together with Ireland are the most successful countries winning the Eurovision Song Contest with seven victories to boot. Will Felicia be able to snatch the eighth victory for Sweden at this year's Eurovision Song Contest?  Felicia will be performing the song "My System" in Semi Final 1 at Song Number 2. At that time Alicja Szemplińska she won the national final with the song "Empires". In 2023, Alicja attempted again to get the ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "New Home" coming 6th in the Polish National Final.  At long last in 2026 Alicja was chosen to represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Pray". While my average daily stress has decreased by 12% over the past 6 months (Whoop measurements) with the average amount of daily stress I'm facing dropping from close to 4 hours/day to 3 hours and 25 minutes, I know I still occasionally see days where daily stress hits well over 6 hours/day. I know there's got to be something ELSE I can be doing to mitigate this stress, since I know that dis-ease in the body, leads straight to disease. It's clear that globally, we have reached unpresented times with anxiety, stress and depression. I can't be the only one who wonders what ELSE can I be doing. We know that: 1 in 5 Americans suffers from a mental illness (NIMH). Anxiety disorders are the highest reported mental health issue in the US with 42.5 million Americans claiming to suffer from this illness. (Mental Health America). Mental illnesses start showing symptoms by age 14 (National Alliance on Mental Illness), About 1 in 4 American adults suffers from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year, and one in 10 will suffer from a depressive illness, such as major depression or bipolar disorder (Johns Hopkins). 10.7% of the world suffers from some form of mental illness. I do want to start by going back in time to when you were age 12, and met someone who saw that you were talented, when you felt like you didn't belong. Can you start with explaining how you found this pathway to help others understand themselves better at a young age? Q1: What does your name mean and how does it tie into our podcast where we work on learning strategies to be the best versions of ourselves? Q2: I can see your talent and what makes you truly unique and I'm jumping at the chance to speak with you, to ask you questions for your perspective, but what has been your experience having a talent that takes ancient practices that can hold the secret for healing modern ailments? Can you break down WHAT exactly it is that you do in your classes, and how each class is tied to support a specific ailment of injury? Qi Class: Qigong for Health, Fitness and Well-being, what ever your ailment or injury There is a Qigong for it... Jing Class: Neigong ( Qigong Yoga) great for Stretching the body, Strengthening the tendons and releasing trauma/ PTSD/ Depression... Shen Class:  Shengong ( Qigong Meditation) lots of different variations, especially "the Island" a Daoist Meditation to heal mind,body and Spirit plus other Energy Meditation styles... Eastern Reiki Class: The Traditional Version of Reiki has Hatsurie Ho ( Japanese Qigong), Kotodama ( Japanese Mantra), and Reiju ( Empowerments) done as a Weekly Class so you build and grow the energy and Traditionally Symbols were not used. DragonDog Shaman Reiki: A particular Version of Shun Qi Shen ( Chinese Reiki) based on the Daoist Shaman practice, this has 3 Classes... Theory, Practical and Lightcode... Q2B: So if I have pain in my neck, that's persistent and always there, how would you help me to eliminate this pain in my neck? I ask, as it's been this way for me for over 20 years, and I've tried everything! Chiropractic work, massage, oils, saunas, and even hypnotherapy (which I would have to say is highly effective). What would you say to me about this persistent pain in my neck and how would YOU solve it? Q3: I know a lot of this involves the mind. I heard you say something that made me think a bit, and I wonder if you can explain how you interpret when Hong-Kong, American martial arts and actor, the late Bruce Lee said “it's like a finger pointing away to the moon” urging us to NOT concentrate on our finger, or we will miss “all that heavenly glory” and that we must NOT think, but learn to FEEL more. How does this quote tie in here? Learn to listen to our body and feel more, rather than get stuck focusing on (our finger) or whatever it is that hurts us in our body? What would you say here? Q4: So here's another quote I heard you say that I just love. I connected with it as I worked for 6 years in the motivational speaking industry and met some of the greats in this industry, right alongside those who had all risen to the top in their careers. Most that I met were open to learning NEW strategies and ideas for success, that took them to these great heights, and they didn't have to be scientifically proven, they just had to work. You mentioned a quote by Rockefeller that said “millionaires don't use astrology, billionaire do” suggesting that more successful individuals, particularly those at the highest wealth levels, may leverage astrology for strategic insights beyond simple fate beliefs. Can you explain how this quote ties into your work? Q5: Before my next question, I would love it if you could give us your take on Energy 101 and what we should all know about energy fields, and frequencies? I've mentioned this concept on a few different episodes where I talk about how we are all spiritual beings, with an intellect, living in a physical body (EP 67[i]) and that we must change our frequency to move to different levels of vibration. How would YOU explain this image and concept? Q6: Since we now can see how important energy is, in Arizona, where I live, we can find stores on reading our energy, our aura (I've done this recently) or classes on how to bend a spoon, psychokinesis and dowsing (all classes that I took the FIRST year I moved here over 24 years ago). Can you tell me what you learned from your work with Uri Geller years ago that might open our listener's eyes to different techniques for success that you have seen either yourself or others use to give them a razor's edge for success? Q7: Ok, another quote here from Nikolas Tesla “magic is science not yet understood.” I've been working hard to make the connection with neuroscience and some of those age old success principles that I saw working in the seminar industry back in the late 1990s. Our most downloaded episode is a 4-part series on Applying The Silva Method[ii] for Increased Intuition, Creativity and Focus. My favorite quote from this series is that “once we learn to use our minds to train it, it will do some astounding things for us, as you will soon see.” What kind of magic have you seen over the years with people you work with who have learned to train their mind (like Bruce Lee was so well known for?). Q8: In the Silva Method, he has this activity where we learn how to see things on the “screen of our mind.” What have you learned from your study of ancient physicists about developing our minds, or our “third eye” and why is this advanced awareness important if we want to take better control our our health and wellness, as well as our success, in the future?   Q9: This has been a lot, and I could keep asking you questions, but I wonder, “where do we begin?” I didn't know that Yin/Yang (dark/light) means Tai Chi or that Dao means “the path, or the way.” Can you highlight the best way forward for someone who notices they are off balance, like me, and how to get started on a better way forward? More to come on the show next week.         Eurovision in Concert 2024 in Amsterdam:  What once used to be a small Eurovision fan event that began in 2009 by a group of  Dutch Eurovision fans became the biggest Eurovision PreParty event and has reached a record number of audience being 7000 live spectators all enjoying the annual Eurovision Concert featuring the acts competing at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Once again Eurovision in Concert 2024 was staged at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands with the participation of 30 acts. The event took place in the evening of Saturday, 13 April 2024 hosted by Cornald Maas and Eurovision Winner 1999 from Sweden, Charlotte Perrelli. During the soundcheck national and international media had the opportunity to conduct interviews with the artists. In total 50 acts from the Spanish Benidrom Fest and the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 performed in front of an enthusiastic Spanish and international Fan Base over two great party nights in La Salle de la Rivierea in Madrid, Spain. The Radio International Interview Team was on location to conduct as many interviews as possible and they will be broadcast on Radio International in the run up the Eurovision Song Contest to bring the 2024 Eurostars closer to the fans. Radio International's JP was on location to conduct interviews with the competing artists.  Danny Saucedo qualified directly to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 with the song "Happy that you found me". Dotter also won a place in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 after winning the Heat 4 voting and will perform her song "It's not easy to write a love song" in Stockholm. On the show this week Radio International airs an interview with Semi Finalist Albin Tingwall with the song "Done getting over you" as well as Scarlet with the song "Circus X".  Lia Larsson performed "30 km/h" and the group Lasse Stefanz added a summer song to the competition called "En sång om sommaren". Unfortunately, both acts did not qualify for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 and were elmininated. On the show this week listen to interviews with Danny, Albin, Scarlet and Lia Larsson. Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 2 Allstarz Radio International's JP and Ludvig were in Gothenburg at Heat 2 having had the pleasure of chatting with all six acts during the rehearsals and after the live broadcast. Liamoo qualified directly to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 with the song "Dragon". Maria Sur also won a place in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 after winning the Heat 2 voting and will perform her song "When you are gone" in Stockholm. On the show this week Radio International airs an interview with newcomer C-Joe who placed 4th with the song "Ahumma" as well as Engmans Kapell who placed 5th with the song "Norrland" and ode to the region in the North of Sweden. Unfortunately, both acts were elminiated in Heat 2 and did not advance into the Final or Semi Final of Melodifestivalen. Singer / Songwriter Melanie Wehbe with JP at the Afterparty of Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 4 in Eskilstuna Interview with Melanie Wehbe (Melodifestvalen 2023): At the afterparty of Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 4 in Eskilstuna, Sweden JP bumped into Melanie Wehbe who is a Swedish Singer / Songwriter and took part in Melodifestivalen 2023 as a singer but also is reponsible for song "Move" by the Mamas who won Melodifestivalen 2020 and it would have been Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, due to the Corona pandemic, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled. Melanie has written more songs for other acts and in the 2024 edition of Melodifestivalen she is the backing vocalist for the songs of Dotter "It's not easy to write a love song", Lia Larsson "30 km/h" and Elisa Lindstroem "Forever Yours". In addition, Melanie entered a song into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024 in Denmark performed by Saba. The song is entitled "Sand" and won the Danish National Selection to the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 2 Allstarz Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 2: 2624 songs were submitted to Swedish Television (SVT) for Melodifestivalen 2024. The selection was narrowed down to 30 acts which were distributed onto five heats. 12 songs will be competing in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 on 06 Mar 2024 in Stockholm's Friends Arena. The winner of that show will then represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. On 03 Feb 2024 saw the first of five heats taking place and with that starting the Melodifestivalen 2024 Roadshow. Senhit (San Marino 2011 and 2021) at OGAE Germany Convention 2024 Interview with Senhit (San Marino 2011 and 2021): Surprise guest at the recent edition of OGAE Germany's annual convention 2024 in January in Munich was Senhit. She represented San Marino twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 2011 it was with "Stand By" which failed to qualify San Marino for the Grand Final of Eurovision 2011 reaching number 16 in Semi Final 1. Her second attempt was "Adrenalina" with which Senhit qualified San Marino for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contes 2021 coming 22nd in Rotterdam. Salman and JP were at the contest in Luxembourg and conducted interviews with the participants. The Luxembourg Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Interview with CHAiLD (Luxembourg National Final 2024): For the first time since 1993, Luxembourg returns to the Eurovision Song Contest. The National Final in Luxembourg - The Luxembourg Song Contest 2024 is scheduled to take place on 27 Jan 2024 from the Rockhal in Esch sur Alzette with eight acts battling it out for the ticket to Malmoe in Sweden where the 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be staged on May 07, 09 and 11, following the victory of Loreen from Sweden in 2023 with the song "Tattoo". Luxembourg has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest thirty-seven times since debuting in its first edition of 1956. The country has won the contest on five occasions: in 1961 with "Nous les amoureux" performed by Jean-Claude Pascal, in 1965 with "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" performed by France Gall, in 1972 with "Après toi" performed by Vicky Leandros, in 1973 with "Tu te reconnaîtras" performed by Anne-Marie David, and finally in 1983 with "Si la vie est cadeau" performed by Corinne Hermès. After a poor result in 1993, Luxembourg was relegated from the 1994 contest in accordance with the new rules implemented at the time, and has since opted to be absent from the event. "Repondez moi" was the song he was scheduled to perform. Gjon's Tears remained as selected artists to represent Switzerland in the following year's contest in 2021 from the Ahoy in Rotterdam coming third with the song "Tout l'Univers" which he performed in Amsterdam together with a surprise cover of a Eurovision winning song. Sara Tavares (Portugal 1994) passed away   Tribute to Sara Tavares (Portugal 1994):  Sad news once again hit the Eurovision Community last Sunday, 19 December 2023. After a long battle with a brain tumor for ten years Sara Tavares lost the fight and passed away at a very young age of just 45. Sara represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1994 with the beautiful entry entitled "Charma a Musica" which came 8th in the Grand Final. Radio International will broadcast a tribute to Sara Tavares on the show this week. The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 takes place on 26 Nov 2023 from the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France hosted by Olivier Minne and Laury Thilleman. Sixteen countries will participate in the contest with Estonia debuting, Germany returning and taking a break are Serbia and Kazakhstan.
