Life, and the people in it, can sometimes tear you down. In today's episode, I will be talking about how you can CLIMB BACK. Inspired by the Young King Cole, I have truly found that nothing can truly ever defeat you unless you give that circumstance POWER. So don't. It's just that simple. When you sit back and recenter your focus to yourself and your goals, nothing exterior can deter you anymore. Tap in to listen to how I turned my circumstances upside down and truly climbed back! Ain't no more handouts, B! There comes a time in your life when you wake up and realize that you are not in Kansas anymore. New responsibilities are being thrown at you left and right, and it may SEEM overwhelming, but you got it! Each and every experience you've had so far has prepared you for the moment when you're tested. NO! There will not always be someone to pass your burden onto. NO! There may not be an easy way to do something. But, rest assured, in the upmost confidence, that no matter what comes next, you will succeed if you dig deep and believe in you! It is easy to say, "Yes", when all of the stars are aligned, but sometimes you need to still say, "Yes", when you're afraid! Stepping into new opportunities is an amazing feeling, but can often be uncomfortable. How do you know when it's the right time? Is this a terrible mistake I'm making? It's natural to leave room in your head for doubt, but there is always a way to flush that doubt OUT! If you can remind yourself of how amazing you are and what great qualities you have to offer, you will be unstoppable no matter what door you walk through. In times where you are scared to make that move, remember what my homegirl Floerty said. "All you gotta do is say YES!" Navigating life without a GPS can be difficult, but what makes it easy is trusting your instincts. What you'll learn is that it is easy to go to others for advice, but there's no better person to trust in than yourself. Once you begin to fall back on your own knowledge and life experiences, you will take yourself farther than you could have ever imagined. I hope that one day you realize that the best person for you to bet on is YOU! From the Book of Ester to the Kim Ks of Instagram, we are tapping into all things Influencer. A series of events and discussions this past week have truly opened my eyes to the difference between those who have the power to influence others and people who are simply popular. We can all fall victim to the desire to have star power, but not know what to do with it. And on the other hand, we can feel the excessive need to live like those who we consider #GOALS, when in facts, those people aren't in real life who they are online. One key takeaway that I want all my creatives and social media consumers to remember is that: Popularity does not equate to having true influence. Since moving to LA, I have experienced meeting a plethora of people, all uniquely created. Some are good, others are bad. I do love all of God's children but there are definitely some people to be weary of because their intentions may not be pure. If I can say one thing, it's to pay close attention to people's action when you're venturing off to a new space. When you become used to a certain way of life and/or demographic of people, moving can be a culture shock and can take some getting used to. You may get desperate at times and just befriend anyone because it feels better than being alone. But, "It is better to be alone and at peace than to have your peace disrupted among the masses." - Kennedy Thorne Follow me: Instagram Twitter The episode Don't Get Got appeared first on Kickin' It With Ken! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/kennedy058/support

It is so vital to keep your spiritual, emotional and physical tank full. Think of a car... it WILL not move once that tick hits "E". Therefore, you can not fulfill your purpose if you let people drain you of your energy and your peace. It is so easy to get ahead of ourselves, especially when we are excited for something bigger or anxious about what is next. When we feel like we're not progressing fast enough, or not doing as good as we think we should be doing – we find ourselves "wishing we could finish already”! But wishing we had it all together now, or believing in this false sense of skipping steps to get ahead can do more harm than good. There is no destination we arrive to in life that doesn't require patience and perseverance.
