The Faith of Christians, Churches, and Nations Can Be Tested and Doubts Arise in Today's World; However, God Is Faithful and Will Not Forsake You MESSAGE SUMMARY: God will never leave you or forsake you. Even when difficulties arise and you are tempted to walk away from your faith, God will not leave you. When you are tempted to doubt God, remember that God is faithful. When the Apostles questioned Jesus about faith and prayer, Jesus told the Apostles, in Mathew 21:21-22, that your faith is powerful and that God will respond to your faith: “And Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.'”. Hold, unswervingly, to the hope and faith you profess because God, who promised us, is faithful. While you are endeavoring to hold onto your faith in God and Jesus' Gospel, you need to always remember the faithfulness of God, even in those times in which you may be doubting or questioning your faith. Do not give up your faith!   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, fill me with the simple trust that even out of the most awful evil around me, you are able to bring great good — for me, for others, and for your great glory. In Jesus' name, amen.     Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 91). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes (including me). From Romans 1:16 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Psalms 91:1-10; Mathew 28:16-20; Mathew 6:25-34; Psalms 18b:11-20. A WORD FROM THE LORD WEBSITE: www.AWFTL.org. Your energy is gone. Your enthusiasm is nowhere to be found. Hope seems elusive. You don't know how you will get through the day or week. What about your spiritual tank? Doubts and questions poke holes in your faith, and it begins to leak out. Guilt and shame pile on, leaving you feeling worn out and worthless. Maybe it’s not a constant feeling, but there’s that one incident. Death or illness struck your family without warning. You heard something that left you with real unanswered questions about your faith. You made a huge mistake, and someone was really hurt. You feel empty, confused, and worthless. When the apostle Paul wrote the words for our devotion today, he knew that, by his own strength, he could accomplish nothing. His past was checkered. His present was far from perfect. His tank was empty. But into his emptiness God poured grace. God's unconditional love and mercy overflowed in Paul’s life. It overflowed when he met Jesus. Face-to-face with Jesus, he knew that he deserved to die for the way he had treated Christians, to suffer for the suffering he had caused. But Paul said, “The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly.” God’s love overflowed to forgive him. As many sins as he had, God had more grace. Because of God’s overflowing love, Paul was forgiven. With that forgiving grace, the Lord also poured out two more gifts – faith and love. Faith to believe that he was forgiven, and love that came from God and overflowed into the lives of those around him. And all of this was “in Christ Jesus.” In Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, God shows his overflowing grace for sinners. In his Word is the power to work faith in our hearts. In his love is the power and motivation to love others. When you are feeling empty, God wants to fill you up. Look at Jesus’ cross and his empty tomb. There, his grace overflows to you and every undeserving sinner. There, he fills you up with the faith and love you need to live in him and for him every day. Prayer: Lord, when I’m feeling empty, fill me up with your grace. Amen. Daily Devotions is brought to you by WELS. Richard Henry Lee is the Founding Father who made July 4th possible, yet most Americans barely know his name. Before the Declaration of Independence and Jefferson's immortal words, Lee forced the Second Continental Congress to choose independence. In this episode of America's Founding Series, part of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano marks the 250-year anniversary of the Lee Resolution, introduced on June 7, 1776, at the Pennsylvania State House. Discover how Richard Henry Lee moved the colonies from resistance to separation, why Congress was deeply fractured, and how June 7th set the stage for the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, and the birth of the United States. What You'll Learn: Why Richard Henry Lee deserves recognition as one of America's most important Founding Fathers  How the Lee Resolution made July 4th and the Declaration of Independence possible  Why June 7, 1776, forced the Second Continental Congress to finally choose independence  How the fierce debate between radicals and moderates like John Dickinson shaped the vote  The difference between July 2nd, the vote for independence, and July 4th, the adoption of the Declaration  What Lee's courage teaches Americans today about liberty, self-government, and constitutional responsibility  Richard Henry Lee did not write the Declaration of Independence, but he forced Congress to make the decision that required one. This forgotten moment in American Revolution history reminds every generation that liberty demands more than slogans. It requires courage, responsibility, and a people willing to govern themselves.

On the Republican side, unity is dicey. That's as political outsider and billionaire healthcare CEO Rick Jackson and current Lt. Gov. Burt Jones prepare for a June 16th runoff. The winner with face Bottoms in November. Democratic strategist Tharon Johnson, Republican strategist Brian Robinson and host Lisa Rayam break all this down. Plus, Republicans are now having mixed feelings about redrawing Georgia's district lines. And Georgia's gas tax suspension has ended. Now Georgians are rushing to fill up their tanks, before those prices at the pumps creep-up. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ever wonder what happens when our deepest convictions collide with the risen Christ?Paul's Damascus Road encounter wasn't just a conversion—it was a complete inversion of his moral universe. The man breathing threats and murder against Christians became Christianity's greatest ambassador. Why? Because he met the resurrected Jesus, who asked one piercing question: "Why are you persecuting ME?"Here's the truth: Religion without encountering Christ creates persecutors, not disciples. But when we genuinely meet the risen Lord, He doesn't just change our minds—He deploys us on mission. The place you're cleansed often becomes the place you're called. If you've walked away from faith or never truly encountered Him, maybe it's time to ask: "Who are you, Lord?" He's waiting to meet you exactly where you are—not to agree with you, but to transform you.

We reach the critical crunch of our space odyssey, and back on our home planet we find the story of the moon landing beset by very earthly problems. Sections of an increasingly cynical and distrusting population start to question if humanity's greatest achievement was all that was claimed, or just a big spoof. We go through the strange sequence of events & a peculiar cast of characters, who began the claim that the moon landing was a hoax. There are men smashing up their TVs and hating supermarkets, stories of astronauts hiding out in the casinos of Las Vegas, allegations the Mafia ran security for NASA, and possibly the most entertaining of all conspiracy theories – that Stanley Kubrick faked the moon landing, and secretly confessed to it in one of his most famous films. It's the story of a conspiracy theory that begins among a strange secret society (possibly a drinking club) and then simmers on the fringes for decades until a few key events, and people, supercharge it.There are also too many snooker references. This episode was originally in one part, but our own strange sequence of events has led to us having to split it into two – all of which we try to explain.Send all of your questions, comments, complaints and conspiracies to stallit@goloudnow.com

Hello to you listening in Da Nang, Vietnam!   Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga. As a storyteller I know that conflict is the driving force of any story. No conflict - no story. A character can struggle externally with outside forces like a person or situation as well as internally against fears, doubts and flaws in her own mind. While conflict feels miserable resolving the conflict often dictates how the character grows when she figures a way out of the hole she's in.   Once, when I was feeling hopeless and couldn't see a way out my neighbor Fred showed me an illustration, a sketch of a man dressed in a business suit carrying a briefcase and trapped in a swirling blizzard of sheets of paper. You're here, he said, pointing to the man, feeling caught in a tempest, seeing no way out. Think of each sheet of paper as an option. Choose one. It doesn't matter which you choose. What matters is that you choose. Choosing will calm the chaos you feel and begin to reveal choices. And then what? I asked. Focus on that one choice. Make a decision. Feel the shift in your situation. You've done something. Gained a bit of control. Now, choose another. Focus. Gain control. Do it again and again until you see your way clear. It works. I promise.   I'm here to say that all these years later Fred is still right. Give it a go! Then you'll know. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Texas Deputy Kent McGowen shot and killed Susan White after she pulled a gun on him. It seemed like an open-and-shut case of an officer acting in self-defense. But before his first court date, the Houston region was inundated with rumor, innuendo and speculation about the case. Many believed those fabrications and half-truths to be fact. And an unsubstantiated-but-persistent story of how McGowen allegedly set up White as a murder victim because they had a relationship, or that she refused to have one, sealed his fate. McGowen was found guilty, Twice. He's already done his years in prison, but his case is worth examining for all the ways criminal courts can be manipulated by media, fast-talking lawyers and dubious witnesses.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/houseofmysteryradio. Today we're continuing our series on doubt. We're in part four of five. A political science major at a major university was having coffee with a campus pastor. The pastor knew that the student was wrestling with doubt about the existence of God and said to him, “John, you know all of us wonder at some point if it's all real or not. For example, there are quite a few stories in the Bible that are just hard to believe. Jonah and the whale and all that.” John smiled and said, “No, that's not my problem. What I wonder about is how God could care about me. I've done some really bad things and have had some really bad things done to me. I just can't understand the concept of forgiveness.”There you have it. Doubts about the faith come from all directions. While one person cannot bring herself to believe in miracles, another cannot forgive himself for the wrong things he's done and can't fathom how God could. Thomas Jefferson actually cut out the miraculous sections of the Bible. He couldn't believe in what some would call the God of the Bible. Francis Crick, the co-discoverer of DNA, thought that Christianity was just a collection of mythical stories. And what about those who want to see the proof, they like evidence and feel a need to make an intellectual case for our faith. The New Testament writer, Luke, was like that. He wrote in Acts and the Gospel of Luke about the importance of eyewitness sightings of Jesus and His miracles. Lots of people debate whether evolution and religion are compatible or not. And this is a big stumbling block to believe for many. We all believe something, but our minds can struggle at times to grasp the big stuff, the infinite universe. While for others who doubt, the struggle is more internal, they're so grieved by their own sin, they can't accept that God could love them.Maybe the most famous verse in the Bible is John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” However, few quote the next verse which says, “For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” It isn't God's wish to condemn you. Instead, he loves you and wants to give you assurance that life is more than struggle and molecules. Whether you're looking for evidence to believe the Bible or you just need to know that God loves you, try not to focus too much on your objections. Own them, but just tell God as a child would, that you're struggling to understand it all. Will you pray with me? Father, your grace saves us from a life of struggle with sin, and we are accepted by you. Thank you for putting up with our up-and-down faith. In Jesus' name, amen.Change your shirt, and you can change the world! Moses had his doubts. Isaiah felt completely unworthy standing in the presence of God. Gideon couldn't believe the call was for him. And yet God used every one of them. Because the call was never a question of whether the project could be done. It was a question of whether their faith would let God do it through them. Doubts and hesitation are normal. But too often they become a smoke screen. We don't want to say no to God, but the uncertainty keeps us from saying yes. Here's what Isaiah discovered though: when he laid his doubts before the Lord, God did the cleansing. He doesn't need you to be perfect. He needs you to be willing. Commitment costs something. But what it costs is always less than what it returns.Pursuing God with Gene Appel is designed to help you pursue God, build community, and unleash compassion. Grounded in Scripture and shaped by Eastside's conviction that God's grace is for everyone, each episode invites you to discover God's presence and activity in your life.

A juror in Alex Murdaugh's double murder trial had questions about his guilt. She voted to convict anyway — after the Clerk of Court told the jury not to be fooled by the defense. All five South Carolina Supreme Court justices just ruled unanimously that Becky Hill's conduct was unprecedented in the state's history and that her comments tainted the verdict. The court found Hill was motivated by a book deal that depended on a guilty verdict. She pled guilty to perjury in December 2025.The ruling dismantled the earlier decision by former Chief Justice Jean Toal, who denied Murdaugh's motion for a new trial using the wrong legal standard. Toal required Murdaugh to prove harm. The law requires the State to prove no reasonable possibility of influence. The court said the State couldn't do that. The justices also found Toal improperly questioned jurors about whether the Clerk's comments affected their votes, violating deliberation protections. For retrial, the court ordered prosecutors to limit financial crimes evidence to material directly supporting the motive theory — calling the twelve-plus hours of financial testimony at the first trial excessive. AG Alan Wilson confirmed the State will retry. Murdaugh remains behind bars on financial convictions. And while the legal system continues to reckon with itself, the Murdaugh family's longtime housekeeper is filling in the gaps the investigation left open. Blanca Simpson walked into the Moselle house twelve hours after the murders and found staged pajamas, a misplaced wedding ring, and a pattern of evidence that pointed to help — people she calls "the cleaners." She also saw an unidentified white truck at the property the day of the murders that was never accounted for. When she tried to report it to SLED, she says they told her to stop obsessing.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? 1. Military Morale and Leadership U.S. military morale has significantly strengthened by a commander-in-chief who is willing to risk substantial resources to rescue a single American service member. Trump is contrasted against Clinton (Somalia), Obama (Libya), and Biden (Afghanistan), portraying those administrations as failing to protect troops. The U.S. military ethos: soldiers fight aggressively because they trust that medics, rescue forces, and leadership will risk everything to save them. 2. U.S. Military Culture and “Quiet Math of American Violence” Highlight inter-service respect (Marines, Navy corpsmen, Air Force PJs). American combat effectiveness comes not just from training or equipment, but from certainty that help will arrive under fire, reinforcing battlefield courage. 3. Trump’s Iran Policy and Deterrence Strategy Trump’s foreign policy is: “FAFO” (forceful consequences for aggression) Transactional with allies (support is conditional) Infrastructure strikes are: Intended to cripple military and economic capability Designed to pressure the population to overthrow the regime A deliberate choice not to destroy oil infrastructure to preserve post‑conflict recovery potential 4. War Crimes Accusations and Legal Defense Democrats and media figures are labeling infrastructure strikes as “war crimes.” This is countered by citing the Pentagon’s Law of War Manual, arguing that power generation and infrastructure supporting military operations can be lawful military objectives. 5. View of Iranian Leadership Iran’s rulers are theocratic extremists who: Do not care about civilian suffering Are willing to sacrifice large portions of their population Doubts are expressed about whether economic devastation would deter or influence regime behavior. 6. Immigration and Violent Crime Violent crimes committed by undocumented immigrants are widespread and underreported Democratic policies (sanctuary cities, TPS, opposition to ICE) directly enabled these crimes Several specific criminal cases argue that border enforcement failures have led to American deaths.
