"At M2 The Rock, we fully respect the anonymity of all 12-step fellowships. In alignment with their traditions, we do not represent or speak on behalf of any of these groups. Our mission is to share hope, not affiliation."About M2 THE ROCK - MICHAEL MOLTHAN:I'm Michael Molthan, host of The M2 The Rock Show—one of the fastest-growing podcasts and shows on self-improvement, mental health, addiction recovery, and spiritual transformation. I'm so grateful you're here.I started M2 The Rock in 2017 to bring you conversations designed to make you happier, healthier, and more healed. Through raw and unfiltered discussions with experts, celebrities, thought leaders, and athletes, we uncover new perspectives on personal growth, recovery, and overcoming life's toughest challenges. My Story:What sets my journey apart is that there wasn't just one rock bottom—there were many. From being a successful luxury homebuilder to falling into addiction, homelessness, crime, and eventually 27 mugshots and prison, my life was in absolute chaos.Addiction was my temporary escape from childhood trauma, but it only led to destruction. It wasn't until I hit the lowest point imaginable that I finally found true freedom, redemption, and purpose. After an unexpected early release from prison in 2017, I walked 300 miles back to Dallas to turn myself in—only to be miraculously pardoned and told to “pay it forward.”And that's exactly what I've been doing ever since. My MissionI believe that rock bottom is not the end—it's a stepping stone to something greater. My goal is to redefine what "rock bottom" means by helping others rebuild their Spirit, Mind, and Body. On M2 The Rock, I speak openly about trauma, addiction, recovery, and the power of transformation. I don't shy away from topics like:✅ Trauma & Addiction – Understanding the root causes✅ Self-Sabotage & Mental Health – Breaking negative cycles✅ Codependency & Enabling – How relationships impact recovery✅ 12-Step Programs & Spiritual Healing – Finding true freedom✅ Religious Trauma & Personal Growth – Healing from past wounds"Everyone Is An Addict."Whether it's substances, work, validation, or negative thinking, we all have something we struggle with. But recovery is possible, and transformation is real.

Self-Sabotage  Regardless of stage of business, and years of experience, I am pretty confident that at some point or another we are all the masters of self-sabotage.  Or perhaps better, more compassionately put, masters of self-protection. I recently experienced a brilliant example of this. I pressed publish on my amazing new website on Friday 18th July, brave I know mercury went retrograde on the 17th!  Astrology aside, I had had my website for a good couple of weeks, sitting waiting for that final glance over and the nod from me to go live. What did I do? Find every brilliant reason why I could not find an hour or so to go through the final edit and press live. Why? Because in truth I was a bit scared. In truth I couldn't quite believe this was me, this was my site, these were my offers and prices. It was safer to be busy. I recognised what it was, gave myself a big loving “get on with it” and finally went live. The feedback has been brilliant, and yes I do fully believe I deserve this site.  Yes it does truly reflect how brilliant I am.  And I love my prices, I know these price points mean I fully show up as my clients want me too. Highly sensitive people and empaths often feel like they're drowning in grief while others seem to handle loss with ease. They absorb emotions from everyone around them, feel overwhelmed by everyday environments, and find themselves reaching for things they know aren't good for them just to numb the pain. But what if that sensitivity is actually a person's greatest strength? In this episode, Dr. Aimie reveals why highly sensitive people experience grief so differently and how understanding your nervous system's unique needs can transform your relationship with both sensitivity and loss. She shares her own vulnerable story of self-sabotage after her best day ever, showing how even those who understand trauma can still get hijacked by grief. You'll find out about why being an empath isn't about becoming less sensitive, but learning to support your sensitive system so you can hold pain without being overwhelmed by it. Dr. Aimie explains how your sensitivities can either drain your energy or become your superpowers, and why energy management is actually the key to living your life's purpose. You'll hear more on:  How to tell if you're a highly sensitive person Why empaths feel grief more deeply and get overwhelmed faster than others Simple ways to support your nervous system How to tell which sensitivities drain your energy and which ones are your strengths Why highly sensitive people numb emotional pain in self-sabotaging ways What to do when grief takes over and you feel out of control emotionally The biggest challenge for highly sensitive people and how to handle it Easy ways to support your nervous system before you get overwhelmed Whether you're someone navigating grief yourself or a practitioner supporting sensitive clients, this episode offers practical insights to help you understand and support sensitive systems through the grieving process, transforming sensitivity into a strength.   Resources/Guides: Biology of Trauma book - how the body experiences and holds fear, pain and overwhelm, and how to heal. Spoiler: it's not a job title, a single grand calling, or something you're behind on. Purpose is about becoming more of who you already are, and that starts with self-acceptance. I'll share why I was once skeptical about the whole “find your purpose” idea, and how, through 20+ years of coaching and intuitive work, I've come to see purpose as the everyday joy of living aligned with your truth. Whether it's walking your dog, creating art, or starting that business you've been dreaming about—your purpose is found in what lights you up and connects you back to yourself. If you've ever felt unsure about your direction, or worried you're missing your “big calling,” this episode is a chance to reset that narrative.
