Do you regularly get embarrassed by the stupid shit that you do? Studies show you may not be alone.* In today’s episode, La Shaguita will talk to babes about embarrassing shit that they’ve done. She'll even share a few embarrassing stories herself. This will result in some unexpected self-reflection, including suggestions for alleviating discomfort after an embarrassing act. *This is not real medical advice. It's unclear if studies have actually shown this. Music credit to Maia Davies for her featured song "El Fuego" and creepy background music credit to Craig Kelman. Thanks, you two.

Meet Jana, a woman who has lived as a lesbian in Prague since communist times. When she first fell in love with a woman in 1965, homosexuality was still taboo in Czech society. Members of the LGBTQ community were often put under government surveillance and risked losing their homes and jobs. At the same time, there was a thriving underground party culture where Jana and her friends found relief from their day to day struggles. Join La Shaguita as she and Jana discuss what life was like for lesbians and gay people during these turbulent times. Jana will also describe her experiences during the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and the uprisings that led to the fall of communism in 1989. Song credits (thank you!): "Takafei" with music by Beata Hlavenková, singing and music by Lenka Dusilova and original lyrics by Martin E. Kyšperský. "Kontrapunk" with music by Lenka Dusilova, Beata Hlavenková and Justin Lavash.
This episode features an interview with Ewa and Gosia, a lesbian couple from Poland who won a Scandinavian Airlines contest in 2010 to get married in an airplane. Since same sex marriage and civil partnerships are still illegal in Poland, they used the publicity from the contest to increase exposure about LGBTQ rights and visibility across the country. Join La Shaguita, Ewa and Gosia as they discuss the contest, Gosia's experience as one of the first lesbians to come out on Polish TV in 1995, Ewa and Gosia's coming out process, and the continued efforts toward LGBTQ equality in Poland. Featuring music by Gaba Kulka. Thanks Gaba! You rock.
La Shaguita has decided she wants to be a top. But what the hell does that mean, anyway? Why does it conjure up images of pants, suspenders, and various forms of domination? Tune in as La Shaguita explores this concept with a couple collectively known as The Laur, due to their very similar first names. And get ready for some brief political commentary beforehand because, you know, it's election season in the U.S. and the results are horrifying. Special thanks to María José Montijo for her beautiful music. **Trigger warning (because we still believe in those): this episode contains some harsh language, including repeated references to the phrase "slap that bit&h." Within the episode La Shaguita and her friends end up dismantling this terrible phrase and examining the reasons it is so unacceptable. However, if you get triggered by references to violence against women, which Lesbihonest Podcast does NOT condone in any way, you might want to take that into account before pressing play.
