Consistency is not easy to achieve when working towards a certain goal or outcome. However, long-term consistency will always trump short to intensity. Motivation is fleeting while showing up every single day and consistently performing good habits will help you become the best version of yourself!
In today's episode, I talk about some ideas I had after having an interaction at a light with an angry driver. I touch on topics like what causes anger, the fact that we never know what others are going through, and why it is important to care for those who are hateful towards us. Enjoy!
We all have mornings where we press snooze, wake up late, or waste our time in the morning. Before we know it, we are rushing out the door, speeding to work, and feeling flustered before our day even begins. How we start our day is extremely impactful on our quality of life. It sets the tone for task completion, being proactive instead of reactive, and our mindset going into the day. In this episode I give some personal experiences I have had in regards to starting my day on the right note, as well as my failure to do so. I also talk in this episode about the fight to stay off of and not interactive with negative social media and people, as well as the importance of moving on from situations that anger or annoy you. Hope you enjoy!
On today's episode I talk about my personal struggling with becoming obsessed with and focused on one area of life, which leads to an imbalance. All too often many of us find ourselves so focused in on one area, goal, or obsession, which leads to the other parts of our lives falling to the wayside. We neglect family, friends, hobbies, physical and mental health, and our overall enjoyment of life. As this area of life goes well, we are happy. However, when that area of life is in a decline or is taken away, then we are left feeling empty with no purpose. I hope this episode is one that people can relate to, and possibly can become a way to open up their eyes to see their life is experiencing an imbalance.www.mindsetdo.com
On this episode I talk a lot about how we frame what is going on in our lives. So often we turn "I get to" into " I have to". At the same time, we allow others opinions and how we interact with them put us into a prison of sorts. We give up or happiness and mental freedom by allowing them to take control of our emotions and perception of life. In this episode I give some ways to work through this, and take back your freedom!www.mindsetdo.com
Kaizen is a term I have been using as a mantra as of late. It is a Japanese term based on the idea of constant daily improvement and growth. In this episode I talk about why it is important to make small daily improvements for success in whatever sense of the word you define success. The importance of long term consistency over shot term intensity is crucial to long term improvement and goal attainment. I also talk in this episode about the idea of resistance, and why you need to overcome it to become the person you want to become. Enjoy!www.mindsetdo.com
Too often in life we allow labels other people give us or that we give ourselves to define us. These labels can range from our professions, hobbies, physical traits, habits, "talents", beliefs, political parties, and almost any identifiers. When we begin to view ourselves and others through these lenses, we begin to become fixed in our mindsets and world views. This is a dangerous place to be, and it is one in which we become almost trapped by our labels. On today's episode I break down some ways we can determine what these labels are, how they may be holding us back, and how we can break away and detach from them. Enjoy!www.mindsetdo.com
All too often in life we expect others to act in a way that we ourselves do not adhere to. In this episode, I share a personal anecdote where I saw this first hand. To be the best leaders possible, we must practice what we preach. We cannot simply say, "do as I say, not as I do." Actions often speak louder than words, and those around you are constantly looking at how you act more than what you say. In this episode I give tips for evaluating if you practice what you preach, and the possible difficulties of doing so. Enjoy!www.mindsetdo.com
