In today's Meat, the boys talk about the first month of Team Nappi v. Team Jay, basing your worth on your relationship, and cup checks. But first, Nappi discusses squish mallows, the problem with dogs, taking a knee, and dating with  insecurities. Then, Jay warms the soul by getting nostalgic about nostalgia. Each human's individual experience is individual. To label a person based on one characteristic is to disregard the beauty of each of our existences. In an attempt to end discriminatory categorization, our society has decided to categorizes us in a more detailed way. It doesn't make sense. In today's episode, the boys talk about non-sexual-orientation specific pleasures and kinks in the bedroom. If you are going to categorize me, then categorize me as human because that's the only similarity I have with any of you. *Sorry to all the aliens for not being inclusive. You guys are individuals too.

Everybody deals with insecurity & it has a huge negative impact on relationships. The focus for those who are insecure is what's wrong with my partner? Secure attachment, is not about playing games, you're not trying to win or have power over the other person. It's not a perfect situation. Secure attachment means you're able to navigate emotionally. It can't be about relying on the other person to do this for you.

What Is the Meaning of Life? Part 1

Higher Density Living Podcast

Lessons take an entire lifetime to understand. Many have searched to tame the ultimate reality of wisdom and meaning of life, as such, man has established complex disciplines, philosophy, school of thought, and ideas to the many meanings of life. The last episode dealt with Worry, Anxiety, and Fear, now we go forward on how to clear the darkness and let the light back in. Higher Density Living reminds us once again to cherish the time we have in this world. Time is essential, and life is too precious to be wasted on false reality. The past never defines the meaning of your present. It is the present that defines the meaning of all times.   This episode revisits several themes from past episodes. Contrary to the negative orientation of the previous episode. This episode deals with the philosophical inquiry on the meaning of life. Albeit unorthodox, Higher Density Living removes the complexities of contemporary philosophy and renders their own, accessible understanding of the meaning of life. Clarity is less complex and more elegant for listeners to enlighten their path in a good life.    There is more than the eyes can see. The material prison has an entrance and exit, a way out, and a way in. The seen and unseen. Your journey into the unknown is always a balance between the physical and non-physical realm is systematically put into a place like a game-board. Filling up that balance means you taking up love and service to others. Every action, word, and existence committed affect the board state. Start opening your mind and spirit for you to define the meaning of life. It's us putting attachment to the meaning of Life. www.higherdensityliving.com

We have all heard of it before … Fear and self-doubt are the greatest killers of personal genius … but are they really? What does self-doubt mean to you? Self-doubt can mean a lack of confidence, a lack of one's ability, a lack of faith. It can indicate fear of criticism, fear of judgement, or fear of making a decision. In the same breath … self-doubt can also suggest the desire to express your needs, or to believe in yourself and back your ideas. Maybe it is asking you to get real with your feelings whether it has something to do with your work, relationships, or money. In this episode we are going to flip any feelings of inadequacy or not being good enough on its head. And of course ... I will always give you three shiny golden nuggets for every moment of AWE together. Enjoy! Newsletter: https://catherineplano.com for transformation. What are the stumbling blocks that are holding you back from starting? More often than we'd like to admit we stop ourselves from starting. We make up all sorts of stories about why now is not the right time, how we're just not quite ready, how we need more information or skills before we start, how we should wait until we have more time & energy.   Behind these stories are a lot of excuses we make in order to stay in our comfortable bubbles. But, if we're being really honest with ourselves, we might have to admit that staying in our comfort zones gets pretty uncomfortable after a while. Staying comfortable for too long breeds a new kind of discomfort - regret, resentment, wondering “what if I had just started way back when??”   In today's episode I talk you through 4 things that are stopping you from starting: Insecurities and the stories you tell yourself as a result of them A lifelong erosion of self trust A lack of connection to your intuition Infrequent practice using your voice and stepping into leadership and into action As we dig into these 4 concepts, it is likely that you'll be able to connect some dots that will allow you to start taking small steps toward the things you really want, the things you very much deserve and the things you are very much qualified to do. Podfam! We DUG IN on something I think can help a lot of you as it's really helping me...it's two parts...the first is understanding that ANY big goal or dream you launch, you are going to experience what Steven Pressfield calls "Resistance." That voice that says, who are you to do this? But my friends, it's 1000000% normal and what I am learning is that we all hear that voice...and now it's time to label it, smile at it, and KEEP ON GOING. The second is flipping from ME to WE. How can you use your gift to SERVE others instead of your ego? This has been HUGE for me...let me know what you thought of the ep and I hope it helps!!! MUCH LOVE PODFAM! This is fun :) Hit me up anytime-ned@happymondayco.com and let me know your thoughts. Keep rockin and remember, that negative voice is just resistance testing you...keep going...what's on the other side is GREATNESS for you. -Ned

Johnny's experience starting a simple breathwork practice before going to an event and how that's been so vital for him to reduce stress and anxiety. The power of just doing an easy meditation or breathwork practice every day. What a "threshold practice" is and how it helps to check in with yourself and see how you're showing up with your energy. Gentle methods of helping your significant other be more open to self-development like putting on a podcast in the background or suggesting a book. The benefits of getting curious about our triggers rather than letting negative emotions control our thoughts and behaviors.   Power Quotes From The Show Letting Go of Our Anger "Men are carrying around this level of anger and judgment because they're taught that men are really supposed to be like that. They're taught this version of masculinity that if you're someone like a mechanic and you're grinding every day then it's okay to come home, have a beer, not talk to your family, and to be angry when someone wants something from you. Men like that are taught that it's okay to be resentful and put themselves above other men when they don't meet their standards. We still have men today that are promoting that way of being but how is that serving you, the community, or the betterment of the next generation if you're still stifling all of these things that are coming up with you and your only exposure to it is through anger in your actions and words?" - Johnny Elsasser   What It Means To Embody Masculinity "The embodiment of masculinity in my eyes is finding and tapping into both the masculine and feminine to balance them out and so that you're aligned with who you are and you're also teaching the next generation of men what it looks like to really embrace both sides of the fence. An embodied man is somebody who can sit here, be with himself and his demons but not project them, not be a victim, and not let his anger wound others." - Johnny Elsasser   The Mirror of Truth "Strip away all of the material things in your life; strip away the people you love from your life and what do you look like? If you aren't happy with that person, then how are you well? How do you treat yourself psychologically - what do you say to yourself in those moments when you're alone? How do you treat yourself when you have a success in your life? Do you celebrate anything? Do you give yourself grace when you falter? If you can't look in the mirror and say, "I love that man," or "I love that woman staring back at me," then I don't feel like you've hit that complete wellness for who you are. I just want people to be themselves in this world because in all reality, nothing outside of ourselves means anything if we aren't well and we aren't centered in who we are each day." - Johnny Elsasser Links From Today's Show  The Art of Masculinity Podcast The SAVAGE System The Wild Man Experience 353 Dr. Ben Lynch 344 Leslie Manookian Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O'Neill Garrett J. Skylar Rogers was born and raised in some of Chicago's toughest neighborhoods. She learned at an early age that music brought people together and grew up listening to music her mother (a singer herself) was listening or singing to. This upbringing laid the groundwork, giving Skylar the drive and passion to explore a career in music. Skylar's "Soul Rockin' Blues" sound has been influenced by Tina Turner, Etta James, Billy Joel, and Koko Taylor. Throw in a bit of AC/DC and multiple Motown artists and you have the unique, strong, passionate and energetic Skylar Rogers. Music and faith were primary sources of strength and inspiration for Skylar through not only the bad times (abusive relationships, the stillbirth of her child, and a brief period of homelessness following a divorce), but also the best of times (meeting, dating and marrying her second husband, and sharing precious time with her family and friends.) "I have learned that during these times, there was a song for every emotion. Music survives the worst, and celebrates the best."Skylar successfully launched her debut EP, "Insecurities” and began touring nationally in 2019, including performances at St Louis' National Blues Museum and Beale Street in Memphis. She was personally invited by Kevin Burt to perform in the All Star Blues Jam at Las Vegas' Big Blues Bender in 2019. At the same venue, blues artist Erica Brown  (Cast Iron Queens) was floored by Skylar's rendition of Koko Taylor's 'I'm A Woman,' telling her, "You're one of the few people I've heard to do that song justice!" She has also shared a stage with Ms. Zeno "The Mojo Queen," Tab Benoit, Terrie Odabi, and Ben Rice. Quoting Annika Chambers, 2019 Blues Music Award winner, Vizztone recording artist, "Skylar Rogers has a lot of energy and pizzazz, and brings a raw honesty to every performance. The blues world betta look out!"Skylar's first single, “Like Father Like Daughter” was released internationally by Blind Racoon in September 2020, attaining worldwide airplay, charting on the Roots Music Top 50 Contemporary Blues Songs, and continually charting on the Illinois Roots Music Report. Her full length CD, “Firebreather,” released internationally to high acclaim in January, 2021 reaching #2 on the Roots Music Report for Contemporary Blues Album and seeing airplay of all songs throughout the US, Europe and online.

What does it mean to be Man Enough? Today we are digging in with Justin Baldoni. You probably know Justin from his role as Rafael Solano on the massively popular series ‘Jane the Virgin', or as a director of the acclaimed film Five Feet Apart. He is on a mission to ‘undefine masculinity'— strip away unhealthy expectations and create more space for men (and everyone else) to fully be themselves.    In his book Man Enough', which has evolved into a  podcast community, he shares stories of how society rarely provides space for men to be whole. Today Justin shares his own hurt and the learnings that have come from those experiences. We talk about:    How he realized he was “crowdsourcing” his personality. The key differences in male friendships vs. female ones and what needs to change in order for men to have stronger friendships with other men. The number one question we need to start asking men and boys. Why men need to learn to allow themselves to feel. Why bad feelings can be good. The Patriarchal Pyramid  The insecurities men face when it comes to their bodies. Why women need to be mindful of their own misogyny. How he knew his wife Emily was ‘the one'.   Produced by Dear Media.

But when we're in our heads, worrying about sex the whole time, the blood is washing away from our journals, and it's going to our head.” [13:15] “I am my own worst critic, we are our own worst enemies. Sharing their journey of coming out as non-binary Deni reveals how they've built confidence and grown to become more accepting of who they are in their own skin. Deni speaks to how thankful they are for their hardworking and humble family upbringing which in turn fuelled their work ethic and drive and embedded a deep appreciation for the fruits of their labour. This chat provides a much needed reminder that growth and navigating one's insecurities is a non-linear journey and that it's okay to fake it till you make it.  SPECIAL GUESTDeni Todorovič   SPECIAL SHARESSteph: KIC's TikTok Accounts https://www.tiktok.com/@steph_claire_smithhttps://www.tiktok.com/@keepitcleanersquad?lang=en https://www.tiktok.com/@laura.henshaw?lang=en Laura: Gatorade: Wisdom From The Top with Guy Raz interview with Sarah Robb O'Hagan SPONSOR SHOUTOUT Give the gift of glowing skin this year with Bangn Body's exclusive, limited edition holiday bundles!
