What separates the chiropractors who build extraordinary practices from those who constantly struggle? According to Dr. Fred and Dr. FJ, it isn't talent. It isn't luck. And it certainly isn't motivation. It's discipline. In this episode, they explore why lasting success comes from consistently doing the things that matter most, even on the days you don't feel like it. Through stories from chiropractic pioneers like B.J. Palmer and Clarence Gonstead, they discuss the importance of mastering your craft, staying committed to daily fundamentals, and understanding the deeper philosophy behind chiropractic. The conversation also revisits the concept of subluxation through the M.O.T.I.E.S. framework, explaining how misalignment, nervous system interference, inflammation, endocrine function, and symptoms are connected. More importantly, they emphasize that symptoms are often the last thing to appear, and the worst thing to focus on. Whether you're building a practice, leading a team, or simply trying to become a better version of yourself, this episode is a reminder that excellence is never accidental. It's built one disciplined decision at a time. In this episode you'll hear about: Why discipline always outperforms motivation The M.O.T.I.E.S. model for understanding subluxation How symptoms are often the last stage of dysfunction Lessons from chiropractic legends like B.J. Palmer and Clarence Gonstead Why mastering the fundamentals creates long-term success The importance of addressing small problems before they become major ones How consistent training builds stronger teams and better practices Why energy is one of your greatest assets as a leader The difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it Because your future isn't determined by how you feel today, it's determined by what you repeatedly choose to do. "How I feel has no bearing on what I'm going to do today. I have to prepare and go through the process." – Dr. FJ Weekly Action Challenge This week, identify one habit you've been allowing your emotions to control. Maybe you've been skipping workouts. Putting off team meetings. Avoiding a difficult conversation. Or delaying something you've known needed to happen for weeks. Instead of asking yourself, "Do I feel like doing this?" ask: "Is this what the disciplined version of me would do?" Some ideas: Keep one commitment to yourself every day this week. Address one small issue before it becomes a big one. Complete one task you've been avoiding, regardless of your mood. Create one non-negotiable daily habit that supports your long-term goals. Ask yourself each morning: "What needs to be done today?" Then do it. Motivation comes and goes. Discipline is what creates extraordinary practices, and extraordinary lives. Keep Charging! MoChihChu! Cash reserves do more than protect your business. They change the way you lead. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down why a strong emergency fund gives founders the confidence to negotiate better deals, survive unexpected setbacks, and make decisions without operating from fear. When payroll depends on closing one more client, desperation begins controlling the business. You accept bad customers. You agree to weak margins. You make short-term decisions that damage long-term growth. In this episode, you'll learn: • Why operating with limited cash weakens your negotiating power• How financial pressure leads founders to accept toxic deals• Why six months of essential operating expenses creates stability• How strong reserves give you the freedom to invest, innovate, and walk away The truth is simple: You cannot lead like a visionary when every decision is driven by survival. Delay the lifestyle upgrades. Build the corporate treasury. Protect your payroll and essential expenses. When you have enough cash to survive the unexpected, you can stop operating from desperation and start executing from strength. Cash in the bank creates courage in the boardroom. The episode highlights a structural shift in web traffic patterns: machine-driven activity, particularly from AI agents, now makes up the majority of website visits and increasingly determines how businesses are discovered and engaged online. Companies such as Cloudflare, Human Security, and SimilarWeb provide data showing automated and AI-initiated web events have surpassed human visits, with a significant acceleration in the role of AI-driven assistants and agents in both discovery and transaction processes. Quantitative evidence from Cloudflare indicates that automated traffic now accounts for nearly 58% of all page loads. Human Security's report shows an 8,000% increase in AI agent-driven traffic year over year. SimilarWeb data cited by TechCrunch finds Google's AI-generated answers now appear in 43% of searches, up from 15% in the previous year. Additionally, ESW's commercial announcement describes end-to-end automated purchasing workflows using AI agents, moving transaction control further from human users. Supporting developments include technical shifts in how web authentication and authorization are managed, with protocols such as the Model Context Protocol deprecating session-based trust in favor of per-request authorization with attached metadata. Yubico's security key update similarly enables authentication for specific actions rather than broad sessions. Microsoft's entrance into machine identity and agent security management with its own specialized model, combined with alliances like NVIDIA's Open Secure AI Alliance, signal organizing at platform scale, raising questions about who ultimately governs admission policies for AI-driven interactions. For MSPs and technology leaders, these changes increase operational dependence on platform and identity providers, reduce direct control over business discoverability and transactability, and pose new risks in reporting, fraud exposure, and client relationship management. Default platform settings may dictate client market access without their knowledge, shifting the role of the provider from technical implementer to advisor and policy manager. To minimize risk, providers must inventory and periodically review clients' current admissions policies for machine traffic, disentangle discoverability from transactional permissions, and proactively track changes imposed by vendors and platforms. 00:00 Most Traffic Isn't Human 03:49 Why the Login Is Breaking 06:36 Microsoft Wants the Doorway 10:07 Why Do We Care? Today's conversation is all about growing your business intentionally, experimenting with new ideas, and building a brand that evolves alongside you. Today's guest is Kirstie Lee, the founder of A Jar of Pickles, a product company that creates playful gifts and accessories that celebrate Asian appetites. Kirstie's been in business for 12 years, starting as an Etsy hobby while she was in college, and she kept it running alongside her corporate job for 8 years. Then, she went full-time about 5 years ago after having her kids. Her brand now sells online, at craft shows, and through wholesale partnerships. Last year alone, she managed 43 retail markets across 4 states. Kirstie has been part of our Proof to Product community for more than a decade, and it has been such a joy to watch her business grow.In this episode, we talk about everything from balancing a corporate career while building a product brand to hiring your first employee, expanding into wholesale, building a devoted direct-to-consumer audience, and why treating your business like one big experiment has opened doors to opportunities that Kirstie never even planned for. I especially love Kirstie's perspective on listening to customers without letting every opinion dictate your direction and how staying curious has helped her continue growing year after year. If you are wondering what the next stage of growth could look like for your business and you're looking for encouragement that there is not one specific pathway to take for that success, then I think you're really going to enjoy today's episode.Today's episode is brought to you by our Is Wholesale Right for You workshop! Wholesale is not the only way to grow a product brand, but it's definitely my favorite. If you are curious about selling to retail stores, or maybe you've hit a wholesale plateau and aren't sure what to do next, then this free on-demand workshop will help you identify your next best step along with action items to do that.SIGN UPYou can view full show notes and more at http://prooftoproduct.com/451 Quick Links:Free Wholesale Audio SeriesFree Resources LibraryFree Email Marketing for Product MakersPTP LABSPaper Camp
Danil Chernyshev: Why Teams Always Adapt—And How Bad Rules Push Them Into Zombie Scrum Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes. "Teams always adapt. You only get to decide what they adapt to." - Danil Chernyshev Most dysfunction doesn't start with the team—it starts with the structure around them. Danil shares the story of a classic metrics-driven organization where Scrum Masters reported to a dedicated manager who measured their success by team velocity. That manager tracked retrospectives in a separate log, and would show up at the daily Scrum to confirm everyone answered the three questions. The result was predictable: the retrospective became a clock to survive, the daily became a checkbox with no real conversation, and velocity turned into theater—stories closed as "done," then reopened as "part two" in the next sprint. There was never a real done increment. Danil refuses to blame the team. They were doing exactly what teams always do—adapting to survive the rules and boundaries handed to them. As he and Vasco explore, the only real choice a leader has is not whether a team adapts, but what they adapt to. Dictate bureaucracy, and they'll adapt to surviving it. That's how productive, enjoyable work quietly turns into zombie Scrum. Servant leadership exists precisely so someone helps the team adapt toward value—not toward compliance. In this segment, we talk about User Story Mapping by Jeff Patton and Peter Economy, and you can hear Jeff Patton on the podcast. Self-reflection Question: Look at a behavior on your team you find frustrating—what rule or structure might that team be adapting to in order to survive? Featured Book of the Week: Actionable Agile Metrics for Predictability by Daniel Vacanti Danil calls this book eye-opening. It changed how he thinks about metrics—not as a reporting tool for executives, but as something teams can use for themselves to understand what to do next and how to improve. As he puts it, "after that book, you will probably know that a lot of cumulative flow diagrams that you saw in your past, they doesn't work well, and need to be rebuilt." The book makes flow metrics serve the team first, while still giving leadership the transparency they need. You can also hear Daniel Vacanti on the podcast, and get the book here: Actionable Agile Metrics for Predictability by Daniel Vacanti. [The Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]

What if the biggest challenges in your life aren't actually about money, health, your career, or even your relationships with other people? In this episode, Milli shares the one realization that changed everything: every struggle is ultimately a relationship issue. Doug and Gator react to Tarik Skubal's comment about how the Tigers should approach the trade deadline. The team is surging, but is it too late for them to make a legitimate run at a World Series title, and should they be willing to sacrifice cost-controlled young players to make one last run with an ace pitcher who could depart via free agency in the offseason? Plus, there's growing frustration with the Red Wings, discussion about how the Pistons should handle Jalen Duren and the rest of their offseason, and more!
https://teachhoops.com/ If you watch a mediocre basketball game, you will frequently see timeouts used as emotional panic buttons. A coach watches their team turn the ball over twice in a row, loses their composure on the baseline, and burns a 60-second stoppage just to scream at their players about effort. The players stand in a loose semi-circle, hang their heads through their physical exhaust, and look at the floor. That isn't strategic management—it's an operational leak. In a level 4 championship program, a timeout is a premium tactical resource. It is an intentional tool used to disrupt an opponent's momentum, protect your roster's Resilience Equity, and execute hyper-specific structural adjustments. This masterclass blueprint steps into the "Truth Room" to analyze how to manage the clock, frame your huddle communication, and weaponize your timeouts to maximize your team's winning probability. When the whistle blows and your team heads to the bench, the environment must feature absolute structural discipline. If three different assistant coaches are shouting instructions while players are trying to drink water, your signal-to-noise ratio is completely broken. The 0-Second To 15-Second Phase (The Flush): When the players first sit down, the head coach does not speak to them immediately. Let them catch their breath and flush any immediate emotional hang-time. During these 15 seconds, the head coach meets quietly with their assistant staff—relying on The Yoda for a quick analytical counter and The Antagonist for a hard pulse check on defensive grit. The 15-Second To 45-Second Phase (The Blueprint): The head coach steps into the circle. The players are locked in, holding a high center of gravity. You present a maximum of two specific adjustments: one defensive spacing constraint and one offensive target. The 45-Second To 60-Second Phase (The Launch): The whiteboard is erased. The coaching staff steps back, and the team's Leadership Council takes ownership of the huddle. The players look each other in the eye, echo the tactical calls, and generate a high-volume vocal launchpad before crossing the baseline. You do not call a timeout simply because the opponent made a shot; you call a timeout when you see a recurring structural failure that is actively harming your Effective Field Goal Percentage ($eFG%$) or boosting theirs: The Offensive Pivot: If the opponent has adjusted their half-court shell to take away your primary cutting lanes, and your players are settling for contested, early-clock heaves in the mid-range desert, call the stoppage. Use it to re-establish your Paint Touch Ratio and get your $eFG%$ back to an elite standard. The Defensive Pivot: If your perimeter defenders are failing to close out with High Hands or are letting the ball slice into the high-post seam without a physical bump, call a timeout before a 4-0 run turns into a 12-0 avalanche. Re-enforce your standard of tolerance instantly. Coach's Note: "A timeout shouldn't be a lecture hall; it should be a pit stop. If your players leave the huddle looking more stressed and confused than when they walked to the bench, you failed them as a leader. Give them clarity, strip away the emotional static, and demand elite next-play speed. Dictate the terms of the game out of the stoppage." PREVIEW FOR LATER TODAY Guest: Gregory Copley. Copley explains that European states fear the United Stateswill dictate terms regarding Greenland, viewing this as a continuation of post-WWII history. Halftime Hope, Second-Half Slide The Detroit Lions lost control of Week 15 and lost the game, 41-34 to the Rams. They led at halftime. They looked ready for a shootout. Then the offense stalled, the defense bent, and the window shut. Two punts in the third quarter, another to open the fourth, and the game was effectively gone. It felt winnable. It also felt like a hard reality check about where this team stands in the NFL. The Detroit Lions Podcast framed it simply. The Rams were better across the board. That is not fatalism. It is the tape. The Rams' offense moved with rhythm. Their line created space. Their run game dictated terms. Detroit had no sustained answer after the break. At 8-6, the Lions remain talented and dangerous, but hot-and-cold. The inconsistency showed up again when the margin tightened. Where the Match-ups Tilted Los Angeles hit Detroit with heavy football and smart formation choices. The Rams leaned into 13 personnel and forced the Lions out of their comfort plan. Detroit's counter is often to go heavy with an extra linebacker and win with size. The Rams removed that edge. Puka Nacua sat at times, and the tradeoff still favored the visitors because the fronts and fits worked. The Lions saw fewer light boxes and more bodies clogging space. On the other side, the Rams' defensive line was ferocious. Their linebackers flowed clean. Their safeties tackled in space. Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery were hemmed in, snap after snap. Detroit needed explosives to keep pace, and they tried. After a three-and-out to start the third quarter, Jared Goff took the shot everyone has been asking for, a vertical to Jameson Williams. The ball nearly hit. The process was right. The result set up another bad down-and-distance, another punt, and more clock for Matthew Stafford to grind down the defense. Flags, Contact, and Thin Margins The frustration bubbled because contact shaped those swing plays. Goff took a helmet-to-helmet shot on the deep ball. Williams was tripped as he stretched for it and later took contact in the back of the end zone. No flags. Around the league, it often cuts the other way for quarterbacks and vertical routes. On this day, it did not. That is not a conspiracy. It is a reminder that Detroit's margin shrinks when officiating gray areas go against them and the opponent keeps stacking efficient snaps. Strip away the noise and the picture is clear. The Rams executed at a higher level and dictated personnel. Detroit's offense blinked at the wrong time. The defense could not tilt the field. The Lions still have the traits to beat good teams, but Week 15 underscored the gap between “can” and “do.” If they want a different ending, the next three weeks must be cleaner, faster, and more forceful at the line of scrimmage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjWN45pnJv0 #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #week15loss #41-34 #ramsheavyfootball #13personnel #extralinebacker #lightboxes #linecreatedspace #rungamedictatedterms #thirdquarterpunts #jaredgoffdeepball Learn more about your ad choices.
