This podcast will feature people of many backgrounds with various stories of things they have overcome. It will be a source of inspiration. You will be challenged and encouraged to reflect on your own story and at the end of each episode I hope you too realize that you have a story worth sharing.
“We are never too far from the Lord. He is good & he is faithful.” This episode is for those of you who are single, married, entering a new season, learning about the Lord, or new to this whole Christian thing. My dear friend Jacqueline shares her story of waiting on the Lord, wishing for something more, but continuing to seek her purpose in the midst of it all. Jacqueline is one of the realest people I know. Our friendship has been full of many Jesus talks trying to decipher what the Lord is doing in our lives. I’m grateful for the message she shares here. I’m constantly encouraged by Jacqueline and her heart for ministry. She even gets her preach on during this episode! Get out a notebook, and get ready for some truth bombs
Ever since we planned to record this podcast, I was looking forward to this conversation with Courtney. I’ve known Courtney for years now but this is the first time that we got to have a conversation about mom things. As a mom to be this conversation meant a lot to me. Courtney is someone who is easy to talk to and an open book about any and every topic related to motherhood. She shows great insight to what the first year (and beyond) of motherhood looks like. This conversation brought me so much joy and peace of mind for the years to come. I am grateful for you Courtney and I know many listeners will enjoy this episode as well. Chrissy’s story is one I am excited to share. She is a friend of the podcast and has been following along for the past year. A few months ago, the Lord nudged her to share her story. Not knowing what to say, she reached out. We talked and at the end of our conversation, Chrissy was able to put words to the story that God was writing for her. She was able to reflect and see how the Lord had been faithful. The scars she bears are a beautiful representation of the journey God had brought her through. She not only hung up the phone with confidence in her story, but a new outlook on the goodness of God. This podcast was created for people like Chrissy. My desire is that it is a safe place for you to uncover the story God has beautifully written for you and that you too are encouraged that you have a story worth sharing! This episode can be heard anywhere podcasts are available! Follow Chrissy on Instagram @chrissyshero! Book recommendation from Chrissy:
I am excited to share this week’s podcast episode with you all. Mandy is a light to everyone she meets. She’s not afraid to go against the grain and jump head first into what the LORD is calling her to. At a young age, she accepted the call to serve the foster care community. Not knowing where this nudge would lead, she fully committed to this ministry. Serving kids throughout the valley, Mandy was able to find her purpose in filling her home with kids of her own and inspire others to do the same. I am encouraged by her story and I know you will be too. Be prepared for tears, joy, pain, and laughter. This episode will give great insight to the world of foster care and how you too can help! Karlee, her husband, and kids trusted God as they moved across the country from Arizona to North Carolina for a pastor role at a church. Little did they know, within months of them being in a new home, Karlee would become extremely sick. A move that blessed her with the opportunity of being a stay at home mom turned into her being bedridden and her husband having to juggle his job (from home during Covid) to take care of Karlee and the kids. In a moment of desperation, Karlee found herself crying out to God for healing. She trusted in his power at work within her. Sometimes though, our healing comes in a way we never expected. Check out episode 14 of More Than Conquerors to hear Karlee’s story and see how the Lord helped heal her and use her community to bring her ultimately closer to Him. Please welcome April Cekosh to the More Than Conquerors Podcast! April and I go way back. When I was coaching junior high for the first time ever, she was one of the students sitting in my circle. April went on to coach her own group of girls and grow in her faith deeper as the years went on. In the past few years, she has endured more than anyone her age should. All the while, still praising the Lord in the midst of uncertainty. She chooses to find purpose in every moment she’s been gifted and uses each day as a tool to bring others to know the Lord. As you’ll quickly learn from this episode, April tells people about Jesus with her actions more than her words. She inspires me to be a better me and I know she will inspire you too! On this episode of More Than Conquerors, you get to meet Kelly Mengarelli. Kelly is one of the most wise & beautiful people I know. This year Kelly’s family went through something completely unexpected and found themselves clinging to the Lord in the midst of uncertainty. She talks about having peace that surpasses all understanding even when going through the phases of grief. This story was one I was honored to capture. When the Mengarelli’s lost their beloved Brooklyn, I felt myself grieving along with them and reaching out to offer support. It is inspiring to hear how Kelly and her family are navigating the uncharted waters of grief and firsts in such a crazy year already. If you or someone you know has lost someone, this episode will offer some comfort to you. You can follow Kelly on Instagram @theartsyblonde_ and check out her amazing creations! Book Recommendation:
This week’s podcast is so special to me. Bri Ault is one of my longest, dearest friends. From making up dances in our parents living rooms to being there for each other through some of the hardest things in life. I am inspired by Bri’s story to live in the second (and third and fourth) chances we’ve been gifted with. Bri share about how a past relationship has held her back until she decided to let go & trust go with everything. It’s a moment she looks back on and will forever be grateful for. I love Bri. She is brave and chooses to have courage in the face of fear. I’m encouraged by her and I know you will be too! Check it out on all podcast platforms! “No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide a way out so that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Check out Bri and her friend Abby on Dime Days! Dallas and Jen have an amazing story where an uncertain diagnosis made them certain about who God is. On this week’s episode they share about their faith journey and how the Lord has been pursuing them every step of the way. They share how some shocking news about their son being diagnosed with autism shook their family, turning their whole world upside down, yet opened many doors for them to not only find their way back to God but to be a light in their community. I am encouraged by Dallas and Jen and their vulnerability to share what they’ve been through in hopes to encourage someone to see God in the midst of uncertainty. Have you ever struggled with discerning what God wants you to do? Maybe you did something and then knew you should have done something else. Maybe the Lord has been very clear on his calling for you. Whether you’re in a season of listening or following, this episode is for you! After too much time apart, @morethanconquerorspodcast is back baby! On this episode I interview @christieemery7. Christie always brings so much truth to our talks. She is a friend who I look up to. Someone who follows the Lord in everything she does. Not only will she always be 100% honest, Christie will undoubtedly make anyone around her feel comfortable. I know I enjoyed our much needed quality time together and I know you will enjoy listening to our conversation. Get your notepads out ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to drop some truth bombs
Kathleen’s vulnerability blew me away. This was the first time she truly felt called to share her story and I had goosebumps the entire time. I know you will too. I can definitely relate to feeling stuck in a situation, at the end of my rope, and finally reaching out to the Lord. Even when you don’t feel that hope initially, there’s a peace that surpasses all understanding for you to keep turning pages, keep seeking healing & keep reaching for God. Paige is a mom to 3 and wife to a police officer. She has been a pillar of faith for my life and I was interested to talk about how she is navigating such uncharted territory of police brutality with her family. Paige is vulnerable as she shares insight at what it’s like to be married to a cop, especially during life today. I’m thankful for a friend willing to dialogue about the injustice happening in the world. I’m thankful for her perspective as she sheds some light on something I don’t know much about. We talk about how we were nervous to have this conversation recorded for all to hear, in fear of saying something wrong. But it is in the face of fear, conversations need to be had. It starts with us being willing to say hard things and dialogue with our friends. Even if we don’t agree on everything, we sit and listen. Dequan is the author of The Limitless Mind: The Purpose Principles and Power of the Mind. He provides great insight to the thinking behind why people act the way they do. This episode was recorded before the news of the injustices happening in our world. Although Dequan doesn’t mention the brutalities of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, or George Floyd, I’m thankful for his friendship as he brings a lot of insight to this issue. We are in this together. Us against the injustice that lies before us. Together trying to obtain a mindset more like Christ. A love that breaks through the walls of racism. To recognize the sin within us and to be encouraged by the baby steps of growth. We cheer each other on in our fight to flourish in this world we live in. On this episode, Sierra shares her story about discerning God’s will for her. She also recaps what she’s been through to get to the point of where she is today. Sierra is wise beyond her years and is making a great impact for the Kingdom. She is someone that is making a difference and the Lord is using her in huge ways!
