In this episode of Uncommon Sense, I'm calling out a problem no one wants to confront: the normalization of partying, drinking, and casual sex especially among so-called “conservative influencers.”You cannot claim to defend Western Civilization while publicly celebrating the very behaviors that destroyed past civilizations. Conservatism without morality is just aesthetic rebellion. We don't need more clout, cocktails, or compromised values. We need a return to godliness, self-discipline, and moral responsibility because the future generations watching us will inherit whatever standard we tolerate today. If we want to save the West, we have to get serious about being truly Christian again.--https://www.bible.com/

Earlier this week I had the privilege of being in the room while our Supreme Court justices heard the case for defending biblical truth in girls' sports. This was not just one, but two historic legal battles fighting for fairness and safeguarding female athletics from biological male participation. After hearing these brave young women share their stories firsthand, I got to sit down with Alliance Defending Freedom's (ADF) Kate Anderson to talk through how these cases made it to our nation's highest Court, and what the justices' decision could mean for Title IX and gender as defined by law. Together Kate and I discussed the West Virginia and Idaho cases that brought us here, and the bravery of our girls to speak up when they saw injustice. Plus we took a look at the personal story of Adela Cross, the track athlete from West Virginia whose spot was taken by a biological male athlete. Later on in the episode we shifted our focus to the fight for parental rights. As more public schools put in place policies that deceive parents—like those mandating gender transitions be kept secret—we looked at how ADF is fighting to ensure parents, not schools, have the final say in how to raise their children. The cases before the Court this week are not just about isolated incidents in two states, the justices' decision will shape how our girls are able to do what they love—and feel safe doing so—for generations to come. This is not a political issue, it's a Genesis 1 issue, and comes down to the biblical definition of God creating us male and female. Pray for wisdom and discernment as the justices deliberate, and together let's stand fearlessly for what's right.

Welcome to a powerful and heartfelt episode of the Compared to Who? podcast, hosted by Heather Creekmore. In this episode, Heather chats with three real women—Patricia, Diane, and Jess—who have courageously walked through coaching and programs to improve their body image and relationship with food. If you’re tired of feeling stuck in food obsession, diet culture, or shame around your body, this episode is for you! Episode Highlights: The guests share honestly about their lifelong battles with body image, food restriction, calorie counting, and the underlying fears and shame that kept them trapped for years. Patricia Reveals how she lived in “body image bondage” for nearly two decades, mistaking strict dieting for freedom until she discovered the faith-based approach of Compared to Who? and began her journey to genuine freedom. Diane At age 71, reflects on six decades of food obsessions and restricting behaviors, and how finally integrating her faith with her eating and body image struggles began her transformation. Jess Shares how she didn’t realize she even had body image issues until after having kids; she discusses the shame of living in a bigger body, the mental exhaustion of chasing diets, and how true freedom finally came through the support and tools offered in the coaching group. The women and Heather explore the themes of fear, idolatry, objectification, and the dynamic between self-worth and body size. Hear practical, inspiring stories about breaking the cycle of daily weigh-ins, obsessive thoughts, and moralizing food choices. Each guest describes how participation in the 40 Day Body Image Journey, the Body Image Freedom Framework, and intuitive eating coaching offered loving accountability, lasting mindset shifts, and deepened connection to God’s truth about their identity. The episode closes with encouragement for anyone who feels stuck, scared to start, or believes they’re “too old” or “too late” for change. Key Takeaways: Lasting body image freedom isn’t about reaching your “ideal weight”—it’s about shifting your perspective, breaking fear-driven cycles, and finding your worth in God, not a number on the scale. Healing comes in community: support, vulnerability, and shared struggle are powerful in bringing freedom from shame and isolation. No matter your age or how long you’ve struggled, there is hope and there is help. Bench Press and Biblical Truth: The Strength of Dr. Trent RogersDr. Trent Rogers doesn't fit the stereotype of a Bible professor and college dean. Sure, he's got the credentials — a doctorate in New Testament, years of pastoral experience, and a deep love for Scripture. But he also once bench-pressed 670 pounds, setting a world record. That same drive to be the best shapes everything he does, from the classroom to his leadership at Cedarville University.Trent's path to academic ministry wasn't direct. He started with a degree in ancient and classical Greek from Wabash College, aiming to read the New Testament in its original form. He imagined life in church ministry, not on a college campus. In fact, when he joined Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, he ranked “college ministry” dead last on his list of preferences. But God had different plans. When the college ministry volunteer stepped away, Trent unexpectedly stepped in — and what began as a reluctant assignment quickly became a passion. He discovered students who were eager to grow, ask meaningful questions, and pursue Christ with conviction. Their hunger for direction and truth stirred something in him. Over the next five years, not only did his heart change, but so did the direction of his calling.Today, as Dean of the School of Biblical and Theological Studies, Trent brings the same passion to shaping students as he once brought to training with elite athletes. Before Cedarville, he worked as a personal trainer in Chicago, coaching everyone from businessmen to NFL stars like Devin Hester. Whether he's teaching Greek, launching academic programs, or designing a personal fitness regimen, his goal remains the same: to do it well and purposefully. What began as reluctance has become calling. Now, Trent leads with clarity, compassion, and a deep belief in Cedarville's mission to equip students for a lifetime of faithful service. To hear more of his story, check out the Cedarville Stories podcast.https://share.transistor.fm/s/4ce82391https://youtu.be/26dd7nqxTj8

Gluttony, sloth, complacency, and lack of discipline are destroying the spiritual strength of countless Christians — and almost no one talks about it.Mallory and I break down what the Bible actually says, why this sin goes unnoticed, and how believers can defeat it through repentance, discipline, and walking in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).If you've ever felt spiritually dull, unmotivated, or stuck in cycles of comfort, this episode will help you see what's really going on — and how to overcome it through Christ.✝️ COACHING WITH DAVID! https://imdavidhammond.com✝️ COACHING WITH MALLORY! https://biblicallyfeminine.com
