Come Out of Babylon and Return to God's Ways | KIB 551 DESCRIPTION COME OUT OF BABYLON AND RETURN TO GOD'S WAYS What happens when believers stop fighting the Word of God and simply begin asking: "Father, what are Your ways?" In this special Feast of Tabernacles edition of Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake speak from the heart about their journey of learning to leave Babylon's patterns behind and increasingly align their lives with the Kingdom of God. The Feast of Tabernacles provides the backdrop for an important question: Are we allowing Scripture to define our Christianity—or are we interpreting Scripture through traditions and cultural assumptions we inherited from Babylon? Dr. Lake examines the biblical feasts as God's appointed times—divine rehearsals that point toward the work of Messiah. The spring feasts reveal what Christ accomplished in His first coming, while the fall feasts prophetically anticipate events associated with His return, His Kingdom, and ultimately the new heaven and new earth. Pasted text The discussion also confronts the historical process through which portions of Christianity became increasingly separated from their Hebraic foundations and absorbed practices from surrounding cultures. But this episode is NOT a call to religious legalism. It is a call to return to the Word. Dr. Lake explains the biblical concept of Torah as the loving instruction of the Father. Rather than viewing God's commandments through the harshness associated with Roman law, believers should understand God's instructions as revealing the pathway He established for His people. That produces one of the central principles of KIB 551: We cannot expect Kingdom results while deliberately walking according to the ways of another kingdom. Repentance realigns us with God. Obedience closes doors to the enemy. The Word renews our minds. And the Holy Spirit progressively teaches believers how to walk according to the Kingdom into which Christ has brought them. Pasted text Dr. Lake puts the principle powerfully: "You cannot outgive your disobedience." Kingdom life cannot be reduced to formulas, offerings, religious rituals, or outward appearances. God desires obedience flowing from faith and love. As believers leave Babylon, repent, and align themselves with Scripture, they progressively close doors through which the enemy has operated and learn how to walk in the blessings and freedom of God's Kingdom. Pasted text Mary Lou also shares a deeply personal message for believers who are exhausted, grieving, sick, or walking through overwhelming circumstances: LET GOD CARRY YOU. There are seasons when believers reach the end of their own strength. Surrender can be difficult—especially for someone who has experienced betrayal, trauma, disappointment, or loss. Yet surrendering ourselves into God's hands can become the beginning of restoration. Sometimes faith means standing. Sometimes faith means fighting. And sometimes faith means allowing the Father to carry us through something we cannot carry ourselves through. Pasted text KIB 551 also addresses sanctification. Maturity does not mean that temptation somehow ceases to exist. Rather, as believers grow closer to God, they increasingly recognize that sin simply costs too much. Why trade the presence of God for momentary pleasure? Why descend again into a valley from which God has already brought us? Why reopen doors Christ has helped us close? We obey Him because He has already accepted us in Christ. Because He loved us and gave Himself for us, our response is gratitude, surrender, obedience, and love. And may the Holy Spirit continue leading the remnant out of Babylon and deeper into the ways of the Kingdom. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Sri Lanka sentenced 15 men for bombing churches Sri Lanka's High Court sentenced 15 men to life in prison on Tuesday for bombing churches. In this island country off the coast of India in the Indian Ocean, the men participated in the bombings of three churches on Easter Sunday in 2019. Religiously speaking, nearly 70 percent of the 22 million Sri Lankans are Buddhist, 12 percent are Hindu, 11 percent are Muslim, and 7 percent are Christian.  The terrorist group, Islamic State, inspired the attacks which killed over 250 people. The Catholic Church welcomed the convictions. However, leaders are also calling for an investigation into alleged political involvement behind the bombings. South Korea to greenlight Abortion Kill Pill for mothers LifeSiteNews reports that South Korea is set to allow deadly abortion drugs into the country. The government made the announcement last week. Mothers will be able to get Abortion Kill Pills up to nine weeks of their pregnancies by early 2027. South Korea decriminalized abortion in 2019. It delayed legislation on abortion pills due to push back from Christian groups.  United Nations trying to criminalize pro-life & pro-family positions The United Nations General Assembly meeting opened in New York City on Tuesday.  Leaders from around the world gathered to discuss issues like the U.S.-Iran war, the Russia-Ukraine war, and Artificial Intelligence.  Member nations are also considering a proposal to criminalize pro-life and pro-family positions under international law. CitizenGO organized a petition against this which has been signed by over 140,000 people. You can sign it through a link in our transcript today at TheWorldview.com.  In the midst of the foolishness at the United Nations, U.S. President Donald Trump stood tall for common sense and condemned transgenderism at the U.N. meeting.  Listen.  TRUMP: “It is equally unacceptable that, with all the genuine atrocities in the world, the U.N.'s top human rights officials spend their time criticizing the United States for protecting our children from transgender insanity.” Dept of Justice gets two hospitals to stop transgender operations In related news, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that two hospital systems have agreed to end transgender operations. New York University Langone Hospitals and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center will no longer offer transgender drugs and surgeries to children.  Attorney General Todd Blanche said, “Today's resolutions send a clear message: Hospitals that target children in these practices and then fraudulently obtain payment for the procedures will be held to account!” Over 40 hospital systems have ended transgender operations since President Trump began his second term last year. 28 percent of churchgoers say Biblical truth becomes obsolete LifeWay Research released a new survey on what churchgoers believe about the Bible. Most Protestant churchgoers in the U.S. are confident in their ability to understand the Bible and explain it to others. However, most churchgoers also believe that the truth of God's Word can mean different things to different people. And a growing number share doubt or reject Biblical truths.  Specifically, 28 percent said some Biblical truths become obsolete as culture changes, up from 24 percent in 2019. Among churchgoers under the age of 30, 54 percent believe that Biblical truths become obsolete as culture changes But Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Microchip maker joins trillion-dollar club Another U.S. company joined the trillion-dollar club. Advanced Micro Devices, or AMD, surpassed one trillion dollars in market capitalization on Monday. The computer chip maker has profited from the growth of Artificial Intelligence computing.  It's now the fourth chipmaker in the United States to reach a trillion dollar valuation. The others are Nvidia, Broadcom, and Micron.   Researchers discovered new species of wild cat And finally, researchers discovered a new species of wild cat for the first time in a century.  It's known as the Tilcayo tiger cat. The feline is spotted and smaller than most house cats. It's been living at a wildlife sanctuary in Bolivia, South America for years. Locals knew about it, but scientists had not identified it as a unique species until now.  Jonas Lescroart with the University of Antwerp said, “Even in groups that are very well studied, like the cat family, apparently there's still a diversity that is hidden.” Indeed, God continues to surprise us with His creation. The Last Days Transformation of Humanity: Paul's Warning in 2 Timothy 3 | KIB 548 Kingdom Intelligence Briefing DESCRIPTION THE LAST DAYS TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY Kingdom Intelligence Briefing — Episode 548 What happens to humanity when God is removed from the center, biblical restraint is rejected, and SELF takes the throne? In 2 Timothy 3:1–9, the Apostle Paul gives one of Scripture's most sobering descriptions of humanity in the last days. Paul warns that "times of difficulty" will come. But what makes those times dangerous? PEOPLE. The dangerous character of the times emerges from the increasingly dangerous character of humanity. In KIB 548, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake examine Paul's warning and trace a downward progression beginning with one foundational disorder: ·      "People will be lovers of self." — 2 Timothy 3:2 ·      Once SELF becomes supreme, everything else begins to shift. ·      Truth becomes: "What is true for me?" ·      Morality becomes: "What feels right to me?" ·      Identity becomes: "What do I believe myself to be?" ·      Religion becomes: "What can God do for me?" ·      Worship becomes: "How does this make me feel?" ·      Humanity gradually replaces God as its own reference point. Dr. Lake describes this as an "anthropological inversion"—God, others, and self are replaced by self, personal desires, and God only when He is useful. The result is precisely the progression Paul describes: ·      Lovers of self. ·      Lovers of money. ·      Proud. ·      Arrogant. ·      Abusive. ·      Ungrateful. ·      Unholy. ·      Heartless. ·      Unappeasable. ·      Slanderous. ·      Without self-control. ·      Brutal. ·      Not loving good. ·      Treacherous. ·      Reckless. ·      Swollen with conceit. ·      Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. And then comes perhaps the most disturbing warning of all: "Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power." — 2 Timothy 3:5 Paul is not merely describing secular wickedness. He warns that rebellion can eventually CLOTHE ITSELF IN RELIGIOUS LANGUAGE. ·      Christian vocabulary without biblical obedience. ·      Worship without holiness. ·      Church attendance without discipleship. ·      Spiritual experiences without discernment. ·      Grace without repentance. ·      Faith without faithfulness. ·      Religious identity without transformation. This is RELIGION WITHOUT POWER. The episode also examines the significance of Jannes and Jambres in 2 Timothy 3:8, spiritual deception, counterfeit supernatural manifestations, the loss of self-control, increasing brutality, slander and accusation, the weakening of moral restraint, and the spiritual warfare believers may increasingly encounter in the days ahead. Paul's reference to Jannes and Jambres connects to the possibility of intensified occult counterfeits as the last days progress. Yet KIB 548 does not end with darkness. As humanity moves increasingly toward the exaltation of self, God is preparing a people who move in the opposite direction. The world becomes increasingly self-centered. | The remnant becomes increasingly Christ-centered. The world rejects holiness. | The remnant pursues holiness. The world abandons truth. | The remnant stands upon the Word. The world loses self-control. | The Holy Spirit produces self-control within God's people. The world conforms increasingly to rebellion. | The remnant is conformed increasingly to the image of Christ. The coming contrast may become unmistakable: ·      THIS IS LIFE WITHOUT GOD. ·      THIS IS LIFE WITH GOD. NOW CHOOSE. Dr. Lake's closing exhortation is urgent: when believers see 2 Timothy 3:1–9 unfolding around them, it is time to take God seriously and determine to follow biblical truth even when the surrounding culture abandons it. SPIRITUAL WARFARE IN THE DAYS AHEAD This episode also warns believers that the spiritual battle may become increasingly visible. ·      The answer is not fear. ·      The answer is preparation. ·      Learn the Word. ·      Develop discernment. ·      Understand your authority in Christ. ·      Practice obedience now. ·      Pursue holiness now. ·      Learn biblical spiritual warfare now. Do not wait until the battle becomes intense to discover what Scripture teaches about standing against the kingdom of darkness. As the episode emphasizes, believers were "birthed in the battlefield." Learning obedience to Christ now prepares God's people for increasing spiritual conflict later.
