In this episode, Angela and I discuss choices, mostly when it comes to unhealthy habits. By no means have I perfected this, however, it's helpful to talk through it with someone. Angela feels it's more about being rebellious, no one is going to tell her what to do. For myself, it's self-betrayal and ingrained belief systems. To learn more, please read the blog post I wrote about feeling physically crappy yet I kept making bad choices. We discuss giving up sugar, alcohol, emotional eating and more. For a limited time, my book is free to download on Smashwords. Resources as discussed in this episode: David Ji and Your Holistic Psychologist, Dr. Nicole LePera, the Unexpected Joy of Being Sober and Dr. Joe Dispenza.
I'm with co-host Angela Lawson today to talk about how important it is to ground, not only during this challenging time but in general. Today, I have a co-host. I have asked Angela Lawson back to the No Regrets Podcast with Kate to talk about FEAR. "Fear IS the disease" says, Shaman Isabella Stoloff in her live video recording dated March 13, 2020. Recorded on March 9, 2020 with the full moon in Virgo, Angela talks a little about what this full moon means. She says it is in part being a service to others. With the current situation of the Coronavirus and how everyone is talking about being kind to others, this is our opportunity to do so…being kind to one another and be of service. Listen to hear Angela talk through her biggest fear of disappointing others and perfectionism — Her fear, "if I can’t do it perfectly then I don’t want to do it". As a chakradance facilitator, I asked Angela to briefly go through each chakra for those who may not have knowledge of these energy centers and how we can have blocks that hold us back or keep us in fear. Check out my blog post on limiting beliefs and how you can break free from them. Find Angela on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In honor of heart month, the Adult Congenital Heart Association has a goal of raising $100,000 in their 2020 Heart Challenge. Angela may be a rare-breed in this day and age. She loves being a "nester", a housewife and a mom. For her there is comfort in having a foundation after being a flight attendant before meeting her husband. When it comes to making plans, she has always gone by the seat of her pants and trusts what her heart and gut tell her. But when she started drinking more and feeling depressed knowing she wasn't living her purpose when she "should" be feeling grateful for a wonderful job and living in retirement with her husband on the Big Island of Hawaii, she asked for a sign and you won't believe what happened! Angela discusses how her & her husband were an "anomaly" in military life because of her spiritual path. Angela is a reiki healer and recently became a facilitator for chakradance and is practicing pranic healing.
Today, Deborah Shea is a spiritual healer, teacher of ancient wisdom, psychic medium and channel. She has been instrumental in assisting me in my own journey to heal my emotional trauma through energy healing and intuitive counseling. In this episode, Deborah opens up about her journey with: the trauma she experienced as a child how she was able to "check-out" and hide from the abuse and bullying how she found herself as a national level fitness competitor and a young woman in business how being in business caused her to "live dead even though she made a lot of money" and how she lost everything! I invite you to listen to her story with an open mind. She's a fantastic healer not only because of her education but because of her life experience. Deborah explains how our emotions cause disease and ailments within the physical body & how we can heal those around us by healing ourselves. Deborah is located in Orange County, Calif. She often teaches at the Heart Space OC formerly known as the School of Multidimensional Arts & Sciences. You can find her on Facebook, YouTube or email her at look2onesource@msn.com.

This is proof, the Universe works in mysterious ways to align us with our desires. I have been a fan of Mark Wahlberg since the 1990's. I knew I wanted to share the story, after all these years of being a fan, of how I finally met him. I either wanted to share it in a blog post or on this podcast. I figured verbally sharing this story would be better because I am not sure I would be able to articulate just how it all came together. When I told my friends and family how I found myself driving to LA from Orange County in evening rush hour to meet Mark Wahlberg, it was almost unbelievable. Here is the link to the Alchemy In You video I mention in this episode. Listen at the 3:40 mark for at least 20 seconds. (4:17, "tingles, tingles, tingles"....so appropriate!) And a HUGE thank you to my best friend who convinced me to go and took one for the team to make a long time dream of mine come true.

In this heartfelt episode, Melinda shares her story of a long, high-pressured career in sales, a turbulent first marriage, adopting a son, and raising her grandson but the one thing that has shaped her the most is the loss of her older son Clayton, who succumbed to opiate addiction. Melinda talks about spending many years in the fast lane and how she has dealt with the death of her son. Now, at the age of 66, she has slowed down to enjoy life more and is following her passion of acting and storytelling. She has landed lead roles in plays, appeared in commercials and student films. Her next goal is to write her families stories. You can see Melinda’s work on her YouTube Channel. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, Melinda wants you to know, the addicted loved one needs a support system to guide them to seek help. Most addicts don’t want to seek help on their own, but if a trusted family member offers to stick by & help them, they are more likely to give in. Also, relapse during rehabilitation is natural. Don’t give up! Narcotics Anonymous offers free meetings. Visit their website at na.org for a meeting near you. RIP Clayton Matthew Jenkins - April 13, 1979 - October 19, 2006
The notion of “we’re all just children inside trying to find our way in the dark” is a truth we sometimes forget. In today's episode, I talk about the inner child, or the child within. I believe the inner child is one of the primary keys to healing. Every one of us is stumbling not only to find each other, but to also find our way back to ourselves. You can read my blog post from November 2017, The Child Inside, on my website at thekatehutchinson.com.

I'm returning to the No Regrets Podcast with Kate after nearly a four month hiatus. While I did need a break, the truth is, I was sick. And not in the cold/flu sort of way. In the middle of May I started to feel terrible. I was tired all the time, I had no appetite then I started to become short of breath. I had just moved so I thought it was all stress from the move. By Memorial Day weekend, I was really feeling it. Then it hit me. If you know my story, then you know I have a congenital heart disease. I was sitting in my car feeling just awful when it hit me that something was seriously wrong. After the holiday weekend, I went straight to my cardiologist at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center. This is when I learned I had a 102 fever and a bacterial infection. I was admitted to the hospital immediately. I ended up spending an entire month in the hospital. In this episode, I talk about the lessons learned through this emotional experience such as my triggers, how life can change in an instant and more. Remember, all you owe anyone is your own happiness. I'm excited to return to the podcast and share with you the amazing guests and content I have this season. Be sure to listen to Season 1 and be ready for Season 2. Follow me on Instagram at @noregretspodcastwithkate. My wish for you is to live your very best life, to never wonder what if and live with #noregrets. p.s. I'm much better now. I look and feel healthy again.

Renita is an Army veteran having served eight years on active duty and another 25 on the civilian side. She joined the Army in rebellion to her dad who thought she wouldn’t make it two weeks. She has an infectious, joyous spirit and brings laughter wherever she goes. After her fiancé was killed, her perspective changed in such a way she asked herself, “What should I be doing in life and am I happy, if not, why am I doing it?” Renita also learned a valuable lesson from her fiancé, we don’t have to stay friends with people who are toxic just because we’ve been friends with them for years. So after his death, she cleaned house. Her regret is she wishes she spent more time going home and spending time with her parents. Renita lives life and doesn’t wait for anything. Life is about enjoying the moments you get. Listen to Renita’s story and feel the laughter and inspiration she gives.
In today's episode I talk about limiting beliefs, why they are important to recognize and give tips on releasing them. We have negative or limiting beliefs buried deep within our subconscious. How does one develop limiting beliefs? There are four ways: On a Core Level: Beliefs, positive or negative, can be learned in our childhood years through adulthood from our parents, siblings, other family members and friends. On a Genetic Level: Beliefs can be carried with us from generation to generation through our genetics. On a History Level: We can carry beliefs into this lifetime from past lives. On a Soul Level: Our soul, our essence, has beliefs. By identifying and healing limiting beliefs, we open ourselves up to living our lives, not only to the fullest, but more importantly, true to ourselves. By healing our limiting beliefs, we can also heal physical manifestations and dis-ease within the body. Limiting beliefs are powerful!
Chris was married and had a child before he could legally drink. His value system was based on chasing the materialistic dream and women who looked good on his arm. Until he lost everything. Our conversation takes many turns and Chris shares a story of how our emotions create dis-ease in the body. Which I’m a firm believer of. Side note: He does not know I believe this, he mentioned this on his own when talking about how our thoughts create our reality. Which again, could not be more true. Easily admitting he carries a heavy burden of guilt, remorse and shame from his past, Chris also believes you cannot look back and you can drop the weight of those burdens anytime as long as you move forward, learning from the past. Chris would like for us to ask ourselves, "What are we giving to the world?" All of us have something to give. Chris is candid about the lowest points in his life and how he's making a considerably more selfless and mindful transition to a new life. Listen to learn how he is turning his life around.
Felise thought life was linear: if you went to college, had a good job and worked really hard (basically did all the "right" things), everything would fall into place. But it didn't. Now she believes change is the only constant in life and one can miss opportunities if you stick to the "plan". If Felise has one major regret: The time wasted worrying about what other people think. Listen to learn why her "plan" fell apart, how many opportunities led her to the next thing and what giveaway she is offering. Please be sure to subscribe and follow us on Instagram @noregretspodcastwithkate.

In part two of my Alaska series, I speak with Alden Morgan who was technically my boss at Denali Cabins. We talk about what seasonal life is like, the good (so many perks) and the bad (long hours) but most importantly, how he ended up in Alaska: because he wanted to pan for gold and fight bears! Alden has a different take on regrets. He believes our regrets define where you are at in life and how he wouldn't change a thing! Listen to his story.
