Goals from Maya Yoshida and Miki Yamane got LA back into the game, and a seven-save performance from Novak Micovic allowed the Galaxy to earn that elusive road point on the turf in Seattle. Hosts Josh Guesman and Damian Calhoun discuss the LA Galaxy's game and why players like Yamane, Micovic, Elijah Wynder, Tucker Lepley, and others fought back in the second half to really make Seattle pay for missed chances and the inability to put the game away. The Galaxy only have six games left in the season and there are plenty of storylines to go around. Will LA find success against a top-of-the-table FC Cincinnati side on Saturday? HOSTS: Miranda Reiman and Mark McCully GUESTS: David and Carol Medeiros Starting out as first-generation Angus breeders wasn't easy, but David and Carol Medeiros were determined to make it work. In the tough agriculture climate of the 1980s, they balanced off-farm jobs, raising kids and managing cattle near Denair, Calif. With teamwork and hard work, they grew their operation and partnered with the Dal Porto family to launch an annual production sale — now the second-longest running Angus sale in California. While their vision of the ideal cow has remained steady, their business has evolved, including the expansion to a ranch in the Nebraska Sandhills. In this episode, David and Carol share their story and how they're now helping the next generation of Angus families build dreams of their own. GUESTS: David and Carol Medeiros own and operate Rancho Casino, in both Denair, Calif., and Purdum, Neb. They both grew up in the agriculture business, and the Angus herd began with David's first 4-H heifers that he showed during high school. David earned and Carol both earned degrees from Cal Poly State University, where they made connections that helped them in their career. Carol is a certified public accountant and was a partner in her own firm until they sold it a few years ago. The pair raised three children on the ranch in California, and now split their time between the home location there and the ranch they acquired several years ago in the Sandhills of Nebraska. Their goal remains to raise maternal, high -fertility, low -birthweight cattle that get “better every year.” SPONSOR: Ready to see how Vermeer can help you get more done in a day? Stephanie Izard has a streak of fearlessness in her. She went from being a sous chef to a restaurateur at age 27 and hasn't looked back. Closing that restaurant, Scylla, in 2007 after a three-year run, she went on to compete in and win season four of Bravo TV's Top Chef in 2008. From there she launched her goat-themed restaurant empire, now comprised of two Girl & the Goat locations in Chicago and Los Angeles, two units of her Peruvian concept, Cabra (Spanish for “goat”), in those same cities, as well as Little Goat Diner and Duck Duck Goat in Chicago. At the end of March she opened her first licensed concept, Valley Goat, at the Treehouse Hotel Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, Calif., and last month she opened Lucky Goat at the Hollywood Casino in Joliet, Illinois, with another to come in nearby Aurora. Next up: Cabrito, a fast-casual concept slated to open at Orlando International Airport. She also recently attended US Foods' Food Fanatics conference in Las Vegas where she caught up with Menu Talk hosts Pat Cobe, senior menu editor of Restaurant Business, and Bret Thorn, senior food & beverage editor of Nation's Restaurant News and Restaurant Hospitality. She shared her approach to menu development, her plans for the future and the odd but beneficial status of being famous.

Joe HIllA songwriter, itinerant laborer, and union organizer, Joe Hill became famous around the world after a Utah court convicted him of murder. Even before the international campaign to have his conviction reversed, however, Joe Hill was well known in hobo jungles, on picket lines and at workers' rallies as the author of popular labor songs and as an Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) agitator. Thanks in large part to his songs and to his stirring, well-publicized call to his fellow workers on the eve of his execution—"Don't waste time mourning, organize!"—Hill became, and he has remained, the best-known IWW martyr and labor folk hero.Born Joel Hägglund on Oct. 7, 1879, the future "troubadour of discontent" grew up the fourth of six surviving children in a devoutly religious Lutheran family in Gävle, Sweden, where his father, Olaf, worked as a railroad conductor. Both his parents enjoyed music and often led the family in song. As a young man, Hill composed songs about members of his family, attended concerts at the workers' association hall in Gävle and played piano in a local café.In 1887, Hill's father died from an occupational injury and the children were forced to quit school to support themselves. The 9-year-old Hill worked in a rope factory and later as a fireman on a steam-powered crane. Stricken with skin and joint tuberculosis in 1900, Hill moved to Stockholm in search of a cure and worked odd jobs while receiving radiation treatment and enduring a series of disfiguring operations on his face and neck. Two years later, Hill's mother, Margareta Katarina Hägglund, died after also undergoing a series of operations to cure a persistent back ailment. With her death, the six surviving Hägglund children sold the family home and ventured out on their own. Four of them settled elsewhere in Sweden, but the future Joe Hill and his younger brother, Paul, booked passage to the United States in 1902.Little is known of Hill's doings or whereabouts for the next 12 years. He reportedly worked at various odd jobs in New York before striking out for Chicago, where he worked in a machine shop, got fired and was blacklisted for trying to organize a union. The record finds him in Cleveland in 1905, in San Francisco during the April 1906 Great Earthquake and in San Pedro, Calif., in 1910. There he joined the IWW, served for several years as the secretary for the San Pedro local and wrote many of his most famous songs, including "The Preacher and the Slave" and "Casey Jones—A Union Scab." His songs, appearing in the IWW's "Little Red Song Book," addressed the experience of virtually every major IWW group, from immigrant factory workers to homeless migratory workers to railway shopcraft workers. In 1911, he was in Tijuana, Mexico, part of an army of several hundred wandering hoboes and radicals who sought to overthrow the Mexican dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz, seize Baja California, emancipate the working class and declare industrial freedom. (The invasion lasted six months before internal dissension and a large detachment of better-trained Mexican troops drove the last 100 rebels back across the border.) In 1912, Hill apparently was active in a "Free Speech" coalition of Wobblies, socialists, single taxers, suffragists and AFL members in San Diego that protested a police decision to close the downtown area to street meetings. He also put in an appearance at a railroad construction crew strike in British Columbia, writing several songs before returning to San Pedro, where he lent musical support to a strike of Italian dockworkers. The San Pedro dockworkers' strike led to Hill's first recorded encounter with the police, who arrested him in June 1913 and held him for 30 days on a charge of vagrancy because, he said later, he was "a little too active to suit the chief of the burg" during the strike.

Evidence has emerged that could change our understanding of the 9/11 terrorist attacks more than two decades ago. A 60 Minutes investigation has found that crucial information, initially turned over to the FBI shortly after the attacks, was never shared with the bureau's own field agents or senior intelligence officials. Correspondent Cecilia Vega reports on this evidence, which has come to light amid a lawsuit against the Saudi government filed by families of the nearly 3,000 victims and includes a video of a Saudi national filming the U.S. Capitol, thought to be al-Qaeda's fourth target. Correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi travels to Costa Mesa, Calif., to meet with Palmer Luckey, the 32-year-old tech billionaire who founded Anduril, a defense products company that makes autonomous weapons, some already in use by the U.S. military and in the war in Ukraine. Alfonsi explores the artificial intelligence that powers Anduril's systems and reports on some of the company's most advanced weapons, including a submarine that operates without sailors. While several international groups refer to lethal autonomous weapons as “killer robots,” Luckey says that these innovations represent the future of warfare. Correspondent Bill Whitaker reports from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, a Marian shrine in Southern France and the site of 72 medical miracles recognized by the Catholic Church. 60 Minutes goes inside the Lourdes Office of Medical Observations, where world-renowned doctors and researchers conduct decade-long investigations into the dozens of claims of miraculous cures made every year. They determine which cases can be medically explained and which cannot. The Washington Monthly called him as “one of America's most important journalists.” The Portland Oregonian said his work equals the original muckrakers: Ida Tarbell, Upton Sinclair and Lincoln Steffens. Johnston met Donald Trump in 1988 and in April 1990 revealed that Trump's was no billionaire. When Trump announced his latest run for the White House in June 2015, Johnston was the only nationally-known journalist who immediately said Trump was serious this time and might get the GOP nomination. His reporting over the next year led to the Making of Donald Trump, published around the world in English and German on August 2, 2016, by Melville House. The San Jose Mercury recruited Johnston when he was just 18 years old because of his reporting for two small weekly newspapers in Santa Cruz, Calif. At age 19 The Mercury hired him as a staff writer. Within weeks his byline made the front page. Over the next four decades his award-winning investigations appeared in that paper, the Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times. Since 2009 Johnston has taught the business regulation, property and tax law of the ancient world at Syracuse University College of Law. He previously taught writing, reporting and magazine writing at the University of Southern California and UCLA Extension. He has lectured on four continents about journalistic techniques, ethics, legal theory and tax policy. Join us Thursday's at 8EST for our Weekly Happy Hour Hangout! Are California lawmakers chipping away at your property rights? In this seminar, we break down two major changes impacting homeowners, HOAs, and landlords statewide. Learn what California Assembly Bill 130 means for HOA enforcement and how AB 1620 could force landlords to rent renovated units at legacy rates. If you're a homeowner, HOA board member, property manager, or landlord, this is a must-watch. What we cover: AB 130 (effective July 1, 2025): HOAs are now capped at $100 for most fines tied to CC&Rs, with no late fees or interest allowed. The only exception is for documented, immediate health or safety risks. We'll explain what qualifies, why HOAs must comply immediately, and what policy updates are required across California's 50,000 HOAs. We'll also discuss practical implications like “18-wheeler screens” and “boat screens” and how enforcement changes under the new cap. AB 1620: A tenant with permanent mobility disabilities can move to a comparable or smaller unit in the same building without losing their rent level. We'll walk through a real-world scenario: a landlord renovates a first-floor unit, only to be required to offer it at the prior (lower) rent. We'll outline who's covered, what “comparable” means, and the financial risks for owners planning upgrades.

So will this be an uninspiring match for two teams that don't want to be there? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Eric Vieira discuss the Galaxy's poor form this year, the lack of a physical enforcer, and why they don't have a lot going for them. Will Miami rotate their players? Will the Galaxy rotate theirs? And why is this game the least important of the season for LA! It was a late night, but a solid win for the Galaxy, who are now just 1 of 4 teams from Major League Soccer to advance. On today's show, host Josh Guesman talks about Leagues Cup making a mistake with the start time for the Galaxy's game and why they're going to compound that mistake by doing it again for the Galaxy's match against Pachuca. Mauricio Cuevas is making waves in Leagues Cup and that could mean some additional eyes are on him during an open transfer window. Could the Galaxy move him if it means creating some cash for a solid move? Plus, Seattle comes to Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday. Will anyone from either team be ready to play? -- Corner of the Galaxy is kicking off Season 17, just a few shows past number 1,200! The first depth chart of the 2025 season came out this week for the New Orleans Saints, and the word “or” showed up quite a bit, especially at the quarterback position. Will we find out more from watching the first preseason game Sunday vs. the Los Angeles Chargers? Also, the team will be spending 10 days practicing in Irvine, Calif., where it will be (slightly) cooler. Hopefully, that will allow them to get more done and get some of those aforementioned questions answered. Jim Derry tries to beat Coach Kellen Moore to the punch with Wednesday's guest, FOX-8's Garland Gillen, on the Dattitude Podcast (Ep. 399) presented by Evangeline Securities. The duo also will talk a little LSU and Tulane, and Gabe Henderson has thoughts on Shedeur Sanders being named the starter for Cleveland's first preseason game and the NFL making a deal with ESPN. We also preview show No. 400 with Jim Henderson.

But the point kept the Galaxy alive in Leagues Cup and sets up an interesting matchup on Thursday night. Host Josh Guesman (Kevin Baxter is on assignment) discusses the LA Galaxy's comeback against Cruz Azul and why the test against one of CONCACAF's best teams will pay dividends for a team still trying to find themselves way too deep in the season. What did Gabriel Pec and Joseph Paintsil do against Cruz Azul? And what mistake did Vanney make in the starting lineup? How did he fix it? On today's show, hosts Josh Guesman and Kevin Baxter discuss the 3-3 draw, the atmosphere in the stadium, and why the Galaxy should be a better team this season.
