This week’s learning is sponsored by Sara Averick and Jose Rosenfeld in memory of Ildiko Rosenfeld, “She embodied elegance, grace, and wisdom.” Today’s daf is sponsored by Caroline Ben-Ari on the 6th yahrzeit of her mother, Daphne Rhodes, “Mum was a loving, vivacious woman with a great sense of humor, and was determined to be a better mother to her children than her own mother had been to her. Later in life, when she and Dad retired to Netanya, she indulged her love of singing and dramatics in the Netanya AACI Musical Theatre Group Today’s daf is sponsored by Risa Tzohar in loving memory of her mother Florence Rich z"l. The impurity of rakav, dust from a corpse is limited, as noted in a braita and several statements of amoraim. The body must be without any clothing, on a floor of stone or marble, alone (not with another body) with flesh, bones and sinews, not buried with hair, nails or teeth that were removed from the body. A question is asked regarding dust that comes from the heel as even in one's lifetime the heel is somewhat of a dead zone in the body as its flesh is callous. After suggesting an answer, the Gemara reinterprets the question. Another set of questions is asked regarding rakav - since it is not applicable when there are two bodies that decompose together, what about a pregnant woman who died with the fetus in her womb? What about if there was semen in the woman's body, or feces or skin? After all these questions, Rav Shmuel bar Acha says that if we limit all these cases, there will be no impurity of rakav!! To which, Rav Papa answered how there could be a case. Rakav is only when the dust is from a decomposed body and not if the body was ground into dust. What if it was ground up and then decayed? Rakav also does not apply to a body that is not whole. Two other halachot also do not apply to an incomplete corpse - tefusa (when moving a grave, one must dig up the surrounding earth as well)and a graveyard (if one finds three bodies, one needs to search the area as there may likely be the site of an ancient cemetery). A Mishna in Eduyot 6:3 is brought to raise a difficulty against this but it is resolved. Rava asks another question that the Mishna in Eduyot is brought as an answer, but that answer is rejected.

This week we collab with Tionne and Acha from Primary Colors Podcast to discuss platonic friendships, accountability in women, men's mental health, and much more. We also brought in some spice with some rules for watching porn with your partner and dos and don'ts in the bedroom. We ask the ladies what does accountability look like to us since like many other men out there, Acha doesn't think women know how to hold themselves accountable for anything. Is this a myth or are women now becoming open to the idea of accountability? As women, how can we encourage each other to take responsibility for our words and actions? We also get into the hot debate of can men and women be platonic friends and what is allowed with that when one or both parties are in a relationship? I'm sure we've all had different experiences with our friends, but is one person's intention always clouded despite the “understanding” that they're just friends? Does one person, male or female, always want more? Let us know your thoughts in the comments. We discuss what safety in a relationship looks like to us, how women can make men feel seen and heard, and men's mental health. And because we always keep it raw and risqué, we explore some of Acha's dos and don'ts in the bedroom, and we all share our rules for watching porn with a partner.Subscribe, comment, like, and share if you enjoyed this episode. As always, keep it honest, and tell a friend to tune into Honestly Tho Podcast. Sound off in the comments and let us know your thoughts on all of these topics!
Psychotherapist Tracy Livecchi, LCSW, joins Paul Cardall to discuss healing hearts and minds of people born with an illness that requires a life time of medical care. Both Tracy and Paul were born with complex congenital heart defects. Although congenital heart disease or CHD is the least funded of all major illnesses, CHD remains the leading cause of infant related deaths. However, because of advancements in medicine and technology millions of people have survived and adapt to what would be considered a normal life, although their lives have required a life-time of medical care and surgical procedures. They swap stories and go into detail about the miracle of life and how Tracy's parents were instrumental in working with doctors to secure her survival. Because of the lack of information for lifelong patients, Tracy and her colleague Liza Morton, PhD have written "Healing Hearts and Minds: A Holistic Approach to Coping Well With Congenital Heart Disease." ABOUT TRACY LIVECCHI, LCSWTracy writes on her website: In terms of my training, I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. I have worked in a variety of settings as a private therapist, a clinical director, as well as a consultant for long-term care and hospital settings. I have been working as a psychotherapist in private practice since 1998, and currently provide psychotherapy to individual adults, adolescents, and couples in my Westport practice. I work from an eclectic theoretical orientation and provide supportive counseling while also utilizing cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic and trauma informed, mindfulness approaches, when appropriate. I am the Mental Health Consultant for the Adult Congenital Heart Association's Peer Mentorship Program and speak nationwide on the importance of addressing the psychosocial effects of heart disease. I am passionate about mental health access for all and have a special interest in working with individuals and their families dealing with serious and chronic illness. Craig also discusses the process for searching out future sites for Nationals, where he sees the ACHA in a few years, how he really enjoys talking to young men & women about the ACHA and educating them at a critical time of their lives when grades begin to matter the most, and Romania as the host of the World Cup of University Hockey! And yeah, it wouldn't be a suboptimal podcast without some questions about non-hockey stuff like cold weather in Erie, PA and the excellence of Andrew McMahon In the Wilderness! It's a fun and informative listen so do yourself a favor and start 2023 off with the Chief, the Big Kahuna, the Top Dog in the ACHA, Mr. Craig Barnett!Want to help people find The WCHL Podcast? ACHA Referee-In-Chief Ed Giacomucci is the very special guest on this episode of The WCHL Podcast! Ed talks about growing up in hockey and how his love for the sport brought him to the officiating aspect of the game! Ed takes us through what the ACHA Referee-In-Chief does throughout the season and even provides a glimpse into what his typical week looks like when we're in season playing games! Finally, Ed is very passionate about the growing lack of hockey officials and has some ideas as to the root cause of why folks don't become officials as well as why ACHA players (men and women alike) are better suited than most to become on-ice officials after their playing days are done! And, oh yeah, Ed is from Philadelphia so there's a bit of Philly sports talk in there too! It's a great listen and we couldn't be more thrilled that Ed was kind enough to come on The WCHL Podcast! Did you know that bathrooms and showers – particularly in shared spaces – are a veritable breeding ground for pathogen, some of which we see in the form of mold and the build-up of toxic bio films on surfaces. Body fats and soap scums provide a rich food sauce for micro-organisms such as airborne bacteria Serratia Marcescens, which thrive in humid conditions. We know that people with weakened immune systems are so much more vulnerable to the illnesses associated with infection and let's face it, none of us go into the shower with an expectation that we might get ill… So how do we keep those shower walls clean? Well let's think big – BIG TILES. Porcelanosa have developed XXL Hygienic Ceramic Tiles that are 5 feet long - which means just one piece fits the wall of a shower or tub surround. XTONE Porcelain slabs are 10 feet high which means a floor to ceiling surface with no joints. Why does this matter? Well hygienic glaze will not harbor pathogen and surface impurities are easily removed to prevent build up – it is reassuring to know the evidence - INTERNATONAL STANDARDS Test ISO 10545 - Resistance to Stains - has determined these surfaces can be easily cleaned and the most difficult contaminants washed away, greatly reducing the need for aggressive chemicals. Think about this…When we unload our dishwasher our ceramic tableware is sparkling clean, sanitized and fresh to use - again and again. The principle is the same with large ceramic walls - So, when planning the shower surrounds for your facilities please send reach out to Porcelanosa at firstname.lastname@example.org. The designer in you will love the incredible options and your specification will deliver the longest & best lifecycle value bar none.

Team Maryland had a tough showing against Connecticut before another showcase, while Stevenson's ACHA club split their weekend set. Towson was trying to have a home-and-home against West Chester, but didn't go as planned. All that, plus Loyola's women end their semester with a bang.

Hound PodCast: Double U Hunting Supply
This episode takes us to the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas to visit with coon hunting legend Junior Lasseter. At 73 years of age, Junior has amazing recall of events that led him from the Ozark hills to the major stages of competitive coon hunting, in the woods and on the bench. At one time in coon hunting history, there were many commercial coonhound and combination dog kennels operating out of the Ozarks. Ads appeared in the classified sections of not only the tree dog publications but in major outdoor magazines as well. Writers like Wilson Rawls created a narrative that the Ozarks were the cradle of coon hunting in America. Lasseter's stories emanate from the same root and place him as the perfect visitant to the Gone To The Dogs microphone. Lasseter has owned National Champions on the bench in both the UKC, PKC and ACHA registries and has a final four appearance in the UKC World Championship to his credit. He's the first, and perhaps only handler to win a pickup truck showing hounds. Lasseter's hounds like Table Rock Flying Hawk, Table Rock Mundo, Jr., Biggerstaff's Little Buck, and Morgan's Tree Jamming Mundar fill the conversations in this episode. Lasseter was known far and wide in the 80's when Steve began his career at the UKC registry. This episode is smothered with Ozark flavor, like cathead biscuits under a blanket of fried squirrel gravy. You'll enjoy Junior's stories. You'll want to follow them to the source, and you will, where mountain music echoes off the ridges and swells up from the cold stream hollers of tree dog country. It's all right here so, enjoy!

Join Patti Katter and Travis Wilson as they talk about his entrepreneurial journey in the nutritional supplement industry. Travis is a retired special forces Green Beret who has always had a strong passion for health and physical fitness. Still, a near-fatal parachute accident inspired him to push himself even further. He later formed Alpha Elite Performance and launched his supplement brand while he recovered from it. Travis recently started a great new nonprofit for military veterans, Alpha Elite Performance Outdoors and has a new company selling ammunition, Mutant Munition. Here's a breakdown of what to expect in this episode: He had an easy transition out of the military, but it wasn't easy. You have to be persistent and proactive. What distinguishes his product from those of others? It would be best if you stepped over the bodies to get to the people who can help. And so much more! ~ About Travis Wilson: Travis Wilson is a 21-year military veteran who spent 13 years as a U.S. Army Green Beret. Travis entered the Army in 1995 as an Airborne Medic to become an 18D Green Beret Medic one day. After six years in the service, Travis left the Army to attend Boise State University, where he studied Exercise Science and played hockey for the ACHA club hockey program. After completing school, Travis returned to the Army to meet his special forces training and was chosen to be an 18E Communications Specialist. He was then assigned to the 10th Special Forces Group out of Colorado Springs, where he remained until his retirement in 2017. While serving as a Green Beret, Travis also started a supplement nutrition store called Caliber Nutrition. After juggling the challenges of active duty and a supplement store along with multiple deployments, Travis decided that it was time to retire and start his product line, Alpha Elite Performance – a brand founded upon the consummate professionalism and high physical fitness standards characteristic of the Special Forces community. Established in Colorado Springs, CO., Alpha Elite Performance reflects Travis' dedication to the provision of high-quality supplements not just for Green Berets but for all active-duty military and civilians alike. Maria and Julio are joined by Josiah Neville Bates, staff writer at TIME, and Gisela Pérez de Acha, an investigative reporter with UC Berkeley who focuses on extremism, to unpack the epidemic of gun violence in the United States. They talk about what a meaningful response might look like, the nuances of gun control legislation in Black and brown communities, and the intersection of policing and gun violence. Plus, we hear from Meg Juarez, whose father Luis Juarez was killed in the El Paso mass shooting in 2016, and Gregory Jackson Jr., a gun violence survivor and executive director of the Community Justice Action Fund. This episode was mixed by Rosana Cabán. ITT Staff Picks: “When people of color are involved in acts of gun violence, the assumption is we are to blame. We are living in the wrong neighborhood, or the violence was the result of criminal activity. However, it is our communities that are most affected and harmed by these tragedies,” writes Gregory Jackson Jr. in this piece for The Guardian. For The 19th, reporter Nadra Nittle chronicles the efforts of young women activists of color, who have become major leaders in the fight against gun violence. In his latest piece for TIME, Josiah Neville Bates writes about 11-year-old Miah Cerrillo's testimony before Congress after surviving the shooting at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
