Venus moves into Virgo at the beginning of August, following its conjunction with Ketu in Leo, the South Node and ‘remover of obstacles'. Yet Ketu can also remove things we would prefer to hold onto. In the end, whether of this life or a chapter within it, we must let it all go if we are to evolve. The Ketu part shows where we might hold on, or revert back to something familiar, while Rahu, the North Node, points us forward to where we must try something new.  As we have seen in recent weeks, wars have ramped up, reflected in Venus' conjunction with Ketu. Venus' ingress into Virgo, a sign it's fallen in, does not bode well for peace in the more immediate timeframe. The mood is likely to dip, and things you would usually appreciate may lessen in your eyes somewhat. Venus does not have the support of Mercury in Virgo, which, following its retrograde in July, slowly returns to Cancer in August, where Jupiter remains exalted.Venus is opposite Saturn and squared by Mars while in Virgo. With Venus under such scrutiny, it would be far too easy to complain about whatever Venus represents for you. Generally, we're all likely to complain about the lack of accord and goodwill in the world.The concerns are also likely economic, as well as diplomatic. Diplomatic failure may trigger economic issues, of course.Jupiter offers hope that all may yet be well, despite the challenges ahead. However, Jupiter is combust in August as the Sun moves through Cancer, making it difficult to see the results we are hoping for. This is where faith becomes important. We must have faith in the process, even when progress is not immediately visible.An uprising or revolutionary movement may struggle to gain traction or make a meaningful impact on entrenched systems, as Jupiter continues to oppose Pluto in Capricorn. Positive changes (Jupiter in Cancer) you know you must make may not be as easy to implement when there's so much else to adjust to.The biggest adjustment we must make is the eclipses in Cancer and Aquarius. Time can feel warped and events more fated. The positive vibes will return in September, so use August to be open to the change that must happen.Jupiter continues to aspect Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, so this can bring more of a sense of what's the right thing to do, despite Saturn's and Neptune's retrograde in the depths of possibility, asking us all to keep an open mind about eventual outcomes.Whatever form the astrological weather takes for you in August, hold firm to whatever gives you a sense of meaning, while remaining realistic about the issues that must be addressed.

This Full Moon looks back not only at the recent Cancer New Moon (July 14, 2026, at 21°59' Cancer), but back to the New Moon in Aquarius (Feb. 17, 2026), which was a solar eclipse. Reflect on what looks different now than it did in February. [9:42] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This is the Full Moon (awareness point) in an LPFC that started on Jan. 29, 2025 at 9°51' Aquarius on Sabian symbol 10 Aquarius, A popularity that proves ephemeral. The First Quarter (first action point) of this LPFC was on Oct. 29, 2025 at 6°30' Aquarius. The Last Quarter phase (final action point) is on Apr. 28, 2027.  First Harvest at the ThresholdWe have been building toward this week for a month. Three great cycles named and tracked. Jupiter weaving through all three. The Sun following. This week they culminate, not in abstract outer planet contacts alone, but in the most personal luminaries available. The Sun and Moon activating all three great cycles simultaneously at Wednesday's Full Moon.And at the end of the week, the ancient Celtic festival of Lammas arrives, the first harvest. The earth's own wisdom confirming what the sky is saying. Something has been growing. It is time to begin gathering what it has produced.Key Cycles This Week:Monday, July 27: Sun in Leo trines Neptune in Aries and sextiles Uranus in Gemini. Lunar Nodes change signs: North Node enters Aquarius, South Node enters Leo.The Sun opens the week touching two of the three great cycles in flowing alignment. Vision becoming feelable. Sudden clarity about what is genuinely new in how you understand yourself and the world.On the same day the Lunar Nodes shift, an eighteen-month change in the direction of collective evolution. North Node in Aquarius calls the collective toward genuine community, collective intelligence, and the kind of power that arises from interconnection rather than concentrated authority. With Pluto already moving through Aquarius, the North Node arriving here deepens and confirms that direction.South Node in Leo asks what we are integrating and moving beyond, not Leo's genuine gifts of authentic creative expression and open-hearted generosity, but its shadow. The over-reliance on individual performance. The hunger for recognition that substitutes for genuine contribution. The leadership organized around the singular charismatic figure rather than the nourishment of the collective field. Where have I been performing rather than genuinely contributing? That is the South Node question.Wednesday, July 29: Venus in Virgo squares Mars in Gemini. Full Moon at 6 degrees of Aquarius conjunct Pluto, opposing Jupiter in Leo, sextile Neptune in Aries, trine Uranus in Gemini. Venus in Virgo's careful tending meets Mars in Gemini's speed and variety in friction. There may be tension between what you need in order to feel genuinely attended to and what the pace of the moment is actually offering. Name that honestly rather than adapting around it.And then the Full Moon, the culmination of everything this arc has been building toward. The luminaries activating all three great cycles simultaneously. Conjunct Pluto in Aquarius: what is ready to be released and transformed at the root, not only personally but collectively; what systems and inherited structures of power are ready to be genuinely transformed? Sextile Neptune: vision and inspiration present alongside the reckoning, the imaginal field open to what genuinely new collective life might look like. Trine Uranus in Gemini: something that has been building for weeks finds its moment of sudden clear arrival.The Full Moon falling on the newly activated nodal axis, North Node in Aquarius, South Node in Leo, the luminaries holding the direction of collective evolution in their light. This is not only an ending. It is a revelation. Pay attention to what you see. And ask honestly how what is being illuminated wants to be offered in service of the larger web rather than the personal story.Saturday, August 1: Lammas. In the ancient Celtic tradition, Lammas is the festival of first harvest, the midpoint between Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox, when the first fruits of the growing season are ready to be gathered. The body knows this threshold even when the mind has forgotten it.The particular quality of this Lammas, held within the nodal shift toward Aquarius, asks a specific question. Not only what has ripened in you, but what has ripened that belongs to the larger field. The first harvest in earth-based tradition was never only personal abundance. It was shared. Brought to the community. Offered in gratitude to the web of life that made the growing possible.Name what has ripened. Hold it with gratitude. And begin asking how it wants to be offered as genuine contribution to the larger web.Larger FrameThe direction confirmed this week is toward Aquarius. Toward genuine community. Toward the collective intelligence that arises when individual gifts are offered in service of the whole rather than hoarded for personal recognition.The breakdown of dominator systems continues. The reckoning is not complete. But something has moved, in you, in the collective field, in the long arc of what is being born. July 19 - 25: FIND A WAYAs the pace begins to steady, this week's astrology invites us to lift our eyes from the trail beneath our feet and look toward the horizon. Recent months have demanded constant adjustments, but the sky now offers a wider perspective. Mercury is preparing to resume direct motion, Jupiter shines brightly from Cancer, and the deeper currents represented by the outer planets become easier to recognize. Rather than focusing only on the next task, this is a week for noticing the long arc of your journey and the quiet forces that have been shaping it all along.By request, let's check in on the outer outer planets, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto who are all placed at 10 degrees of the signs they occupy. These outer transpersonal planets tend to push and indicate generational trends, spiritual awakenings, and evolutionary shifts. Neptune draws us collectively into spirituality, mysticism, and universal love, with the flip side also offering confusion, escapism, and deception into the realm of possibility. Currently retrograde and in Uttarabhadra/Pisces, Neptune is bringing our consciousness into the depths of cultural, religious, and even subconscious foundations. Uranus triggers awakenings, revolutions, insight, and innovation. Disruption of the status quo, personal liberation, and tech advancement can be results when Uranus is in effect. Currently direct and at 10 degrees Taurus, a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, Uranus could be acting like a plow in fertile fields, digging in, pushing around, and revealing fertility in environments that feel stable but are bordering on stuck.Pluto governs transformation, the cycle of creation and destruction, and the hidden, deep elements of life and death. Retrograde Pluto sits at 10 degrees of Capricorn, about a third of the way through its nearly 20 year transit through Saturn's earth sign, indicating deep changes in foundations, restructuring of governmental and business entities,  and revelations about karmic responsibilities on a large scale. This week, exalted Jupiter at 10 degrees Cancer will directly aspect both Neptune and Pluto, which could feel like a warm, guiding hand that pushes toward making mystical leaps and transformational discoveries needed to stay on path and growing. Saturn sitting with Neptune assists us in recognizing what needs to be released or recycled. Mars sitting with Uranus could bring a turbulent jolt that advances us through what has felt comfortable but stagnant. The Sun approaching Jupiter this week deepens the state of combustion, fusing the positive wisdom of Jupiter with the powerful light of the Sun. The waxing Moon gets alone time this week, moving through Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio, inviting careful activity at the beginning of the week, social connection in the middle, and deep introspection as the week winds up. Retrograde Mercury stabilizes and resumes direct motion at 23 degrees Gemini on Thursday, July 23rd. A convergence of long cycles that rarely become visible all at once — briefly illuminated in ways that allow us to feel their presence and direction. This week I am taking more time than usual to orient you in that larger field before walking the specific transits.The Three Long CyclesIn astrology, when two outer planets meet in conjunction, they seed a cycle that unfolds over generations. Three of these great cycles were seeded in the last 130 years. This month all three are being activated simultaneously.Neptune conjunct Pluto in Gemini, late 1890s. Gemini governs mind, language, communication, and how reality is constructed and shared. This conjunction seeded a revolution in all of those domains — mass media, the discovery of the unconscious, technologies that transformed how human beings perceive and communicate. The AI emergence, the fracturing of shared reality, the speed at which language and information now move — this is that Gemini cycle in its current expression.Uranus conjunct Pluto in Virgo, mid-1960s. Virgo governs the body, healing, and the relationship between the individual and the systems they inhabit. This conjunction seeded a revolution in identity and power — civil rights, feminism, the environmental movement, the questioning of who gets to belong and on whose terms. The wounds of who has been excluded, whose body deemed less valuable, whose labor extracted — this cycle is still metabolizing in the collective body.Uranus conjunct Neptune in Capricorn, early 1990s. Capricorn governs structure, authority, and the institutions that organize collective life. This conjunction seeded the dissolution of old structures of collective meaning — the fall of the Soviet Union, globalization, the beginning of the internet age, the slow unraveling of institutional frameworks that once held collective life together. Those structures have never been fully replaced. What is breaking down in collective systems right now is this Capricorn cycle in its current expression.This month, through flowing trines and sextiles, all three cycles are being activated simultaneously.
