Tyrone is a legendary professional skateboarder from Madison, Wisconsin who moved to San Diego in the early 90s to pursue a career skating. He also helped organize one of the largest rolling protests in the country last weekend called Rolling For Rights SD. We reflect on the success of the protest, as well as hear about some of Tyrone’s personal thoughts and experiences with racism.     Welcome to the first episode of Quarantine Call With Shieldless Mag, we created this podcast to check in with our friends and fellow skateboarders during this global pandemic and see how they're doing. We set it off in this episode with Nick Shields and Reuben Barrack, the cofounders and co-creators of Shieldless Magazine. We give our own perspectives of our experiences with Coronavirus and what we've been up to during quarantine. Reuben was just in Italy two weeks ago right before they initiated a travel ban so he discusses his time abroad during this crisis. We talk about how this will affect skateboarders and the industry as a whole. Then to swing the mood a little bit we go into detail about Reuben's last part in F*ck This Video 5 that premiered on Thrasher Magazine a couple weeks ago. Reubs goes in-depth behind his mind-bending hippy jump tricks and his battle for his first clip at Washington Street D.I.Y. and other tricks.
