Tough situations in life appear for everybody. I've learned that taking the easy way out, escape-ism, may not teach, you never move forward. 5 days after my massive surgery I decided to quit all pain meds and learned so much to get my life back, through suffering. This was while dealing with mental trauma and not knowing if I'd ever walk again. The tough road taught me and gave me so much more, even though I suffered. There are ways to quit the pain meds and deal w/ pain. Here is how I bounced back and I'm getting the word out.

This podcast is about sharing some lessons I’ve learned from my comeback after a mountain bike accident left me with a severely broken neck. Throughout my 14 month recovery, my friends and family were curious about my mental and physical process. There were a lot of questions and lots of learnings and reflections that may benefit anyone struggling with a major life situation. We only get one life. We all have stress. It's in all of us. Fear, Anxiety, Stress. It's part of everyday life with jobs, raising families, health, financial and even today with Covid and the lockdowns. We can manage this and it's simply done throughout our day. I had roughly 50 of these big 'Stress Dragons" to face and overcome, more practice than I ever imagined I'd face, as I've spent 12 months rebuilding my body and my mind from a horrific accident. The picture on this podcast is my new titanium neck-very stressful, but I've learned and share through this that stress is quite manageable.
