In this episode I'm excited to introduce you to Dr. Nicole Cain. She is a naturopathic doctor and author of a book called "Panic Proof: The New Holistic Solution to End Your Anxiety Forever", which is helping people understand anxiety and panic and emotional wellness, with tools available beyond what people might be hearing in standard mental health clinics. Dr. Nicole shares what drew her into this work. She talks about hitting her rock bottom moment, which so many people experience. It's that fork in the road where someone asks themselves if this is their story or if it's going to be something different. Her rock bottom moment involved continual trauma and panic and anxiety that was so somatically based in her body. It was like burning in her chest, restlessness, and involuntary muscle spasms in her arms. She wasn't sleeping, lost so much weight, and stopped having her period. She had to decide if this was her story or if it was going to be something different. Thank goodness she was able to find her way through that and discovered some really helpful tools and techniques. She got excited to share that with her patients, and they started getting better results. She started sharing it with her community, working with other counselors and doctors, and they started getting better results too. Then she started to look at the research, and it was supporting these discoveries. Now she's helping people who have tried everything to address anxiety and they are feeling hopeless. She wants people to know there is hope. There are great helpers out there to support people and provide resources. We're here to help you! In this episode of the Sober Motivation Podcast, Brad sits down with Nicole to share a powerful and honest sobriety story. Nicole grew up in California in a home affected by alcoholism, struggled with anxiety and a deep sense of not belonging, and discovered early that alcohol could instantly change the way she felt. What started as weekend drinking eventually became daily drinking, secrecy, relationship chaos, and escalating consequences. Nicole opens up about how she used alcohol for energy, confidence, and relief—until it stopped working and her life hit a devastating turning point in July 2022. She shares what finally created true willingness, why her first rehab stay didn't stick, and how treatment, sober living, meetings, sponsorship, and rebuilding trust helped her stay sober. Today, Nicole is approaching four years sober, has rebuilt her relationship with her family, and is focused on living a life rooted in connection, service, and self-respect. If you've ever wondered how to get sober, how to stop secret drinking, or how to rebuild after relapse, this episode will hit home. ------------- Nicole on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cargonicole/

"I stopped doing what I didn't want to do anymore. It's not hard to stop doing something you don't want to do... I didn't want to drink anymore." - Chris LeverettIn this incredibly vulnerable and powerful episode, we step away from the usual technical discussions of self-funding and insurance captives to tackle a pervasive, often silent issue in our industry: addiction and sobriety. My guest is Chris Leverett, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Employee Benefits at TexCap Insurance. While Chris is a veteran in the benefits space, today he shares his personal testimony of battling high-functioning alcoholism while trying to maintain a career, a marriage, and a family.Chris opens up about the "boiling frog" effect of social drinking in the business world, the crushing weight of keeping up appearances, and the terrifying rock-bottom moments, including a lapse in insurance coverage during his daughter's premature birth, that finally led him to seek help.We discuss the freedom found in admitting powerlessness, how he replaced the "monster" of addiction with the discipline of Ironman triathlons, and how to navigate the alcohol-heavy social scene of insurance events without losing your edge.If you or someone you know is struggling in silence, this episode provides a blueprint for finding hope, help, and a better life on the other side.Thank you to our 2026 sponsors!ParetoHealth: ParetoHealth empowers midsize employers with a long-term solution to reduce volatility and lower overall health benefits costs. Today's conversation is a homecoming—back to the body, back to character, and back to what it means to be a man. My guest, Mark Walsh, challenges the modern habit of living entirely in our heads—cut off from sensation, boundaries, and responsibility. We talk embodiment not as fitness or aesthetics, but using physical training to develop character, emotional regulation, and presence. From Stoicism and shadow work to doing hard things on purpose, this episode is about reclaiming awareness, expanding range, and building the discipline required to choose better behavior. We also confront the cult of modernity: hyper-individualism, happiness culture, pleasure-seeking that produces pain, and the loss of religion, community, and moral formation. Mark makes the case that happiness is secondary to meaning and commitment and that true freedom is forged through discipline, not the absence of limits. Chase Chrisley opens up to Ian Bick about his upbringing, growing up on reality television, and how fame at a young age shaped his life and decisions. He talks about leaving college, the pressures of being in the public eye, and how his struggles with drinking escalated as his family faced intense legal battles. Chase shares what it was like watching his parents' arrest, trial, and eventual prison sentence, and how visiting them behind bars took a heavy emotional toll that pushed his drinking even further. He also reflects on the moment everything changed — from his parents being pardoned to finally confronting his addiction, getting sober, and rebuilding his life with clarity and purpose. _____________________________________________ #ChaseChrisley #ChrisleyKnowsBest #RealityTV #CelebrityInterview #LifeAfterFame #AddictionRecovery #SobrietyJourney #truestory _____________________________________________ Thank you to GOLD DROP SELTZERS for sponsoring this episode: Head to https://www.thedryoak.com/ and use promo code LOCKEDIN at checkout for 10% off your order. _____________________________________________ Connect with Chase Chrisley: https://www.instagram.com/chasechrisley/?hl=en _____________________________________________ Hosted, Executive Produced & Edited By Ian Bick: https://www.instagram.com/ian_bick/?hl=en https://ianbick.com/ Shop Locked In Merch: http://www.ianbick.com/shop _____________________________________________` Timestamps: 00:00 Drinking, Family Pressure & Life in the Spotlight 01:00 Chase Chrisley's Childhood & Growing Up on Reality TV 05:00 Fame at a Young Age: Friends, School & Social Life 10:00 Early Partying, Alcohol & Family Dynamics 15:00 College Years & Early Signs of Trouble 20:00 Living Through the Indictment, Trial & Legal Battles 25:00 Conviction, Sentencing & Impact on the Family 31:00 Alcohol Abuse After Sentencing & Emotional Fallout 35:00 Rock Bottom, Addiction & the Decision to Get Sober 40:00 Visiting Parents in Prison & Public Scrutiny 46:00 Presidential Pardon & A Family's Second Chance 50:00 Rehab, Recovery & Rebuilding Life 55:00 Life After Sobriety: Lessons, Growth & Moving Forward Learn more about your ad choices. Al-Kazzaz questions whether the team has already hit rock bottom or if worse is yet to come, particularly if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season. What happens when a brilliant legal career collides with a hidden addiction and a fear of failure that won't let go? Our guest, former attorney and longtime pastor James W. Smith, takes us inside the spiral from weekend poker to a desperate bank robbery—and the surprising path back through accountability, faith, and service. It's a raw, human story that moves from a dye pack exploding in a getaway car to quiet hours in a mental health ward where a new life began to take shape. We talk about the difference between image and integrity, and how the decision to plead guilty became a turning point rather than an ending. James shares how humility was forged bagging groceries and pumping gas after release, how seminary first closed the door and then opened it, and how a historic church embraced his leadership for over three decades. He also explains his 11 years as an approved Continuing Legal Education sponsor teaching ethics, mental health, and substance use to attorneys across North Carolina—proof that credibility can be rebuilt when character leads.James's books—Deal By Me: Golden Opportunity Blown and Deal By Me, Second Edition: A Self-Evaluation—trace the rise, fall, and rebuild with uncommon honesty. His most striking insight: the engine under his worst decisions wasn't a lifelong compulsion, but a deep fear of failure that pushed him to “fix” the unfixable. From practical counsel on staying focused and staying ethical to a moving tribute to a mother's tough love, this conversation offers hard-won wisdom for anyone wrestling with addiction, shame, or a second act that feels out of reach. If this story resonates, share it with a friend, follow the show, and leave a review. Sarah Ferguson is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons — again. Reports claim Fergie sent desperate Christmas messages to senior royals, apologising for past scandals at a moment insiders say was wildly misjudged. We look at why those overtures landed badly, and why invoking regret alongside the Epstein saga only deepened Palace irritation. Then, a resurfaced email photographed on Jeffrey Epstein's desk raises fresh questions about unpaid wages, money troubles, and why correspondence involving Sarah and Prince Andrew was sitting in Epstein's home years later. Add mounting debts at Ferguson's struggling lifestyle brand, new claims she's pressuring Queen Camilla, and reports of panic behind the scenes — and the Yorks' financial reality looks increasingly bleak. We also examine how Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are being used as the family's last remaining bridge to respectability, why Royal Lodge is no longer an inheritance option, and a BBC investigation into millions Andrew received through the controversial sale of Sunninghill Park. Apply to work with me: https://www.michaelxcampion.com/Vivian Siu was born in Hong Kong. At age 6 she and her mother moved to New York in the hope of a better life. At age 16 she lost her mother, and dropped out of high-school in the USA, moving back to HK to avoid being put in foster care …She then dragged herself up by the bootstraps, hitting the books, and somehow getting into and graduating from Columbia University She went from bartending around HK and sleeping on friend's couches with a small suitcase just to survive… to a successful career in investment banking. As an escape from her harsh reality, she found joy in the underground video arcades of gritty Kowloon. She found community there and found that she was actually really good at the car racing games. Many years later, she used that muscle memory from the arcade…to unbelievably making history as the first female and first LGBTQ Formula 4 driver ever to finish the Macau Grand Prix. All with just 6 months of experience and 4 real races in an actual racing car, and whilst holding down a job in Investment Banking. Seriously incredible and the movie about her life so far will be shown on all Cathay Pacific flights starting in DecemberVivian's story is a reminder to all of us that when education and sport, meets a young person with drive… anything is possible. She was not born into money. There has been no silver spoon to feed her opportunities. And when you don't have opportunity fed to you on a silver spoon, you learn to lick it off knives. She's taken every sliver of an opportunity shown to her and really made her own luck. The odds were completely stacked against her achieving any of these things. And yet, here she is. Record breaker. Jay Miralles gets real about the stretch of life after leaving the military—losing direction, getting hit hard by divorce, and ending up in a dark season that included homelessness and serious mental health struggles. This isn't a highlight reel. It's an honest look at what rock bottom can feel like, and what it actually takes to climb out.A big takeaway: you don't “think” your way into a better life… you build it through structure, accountability, and the right people around you. Jay shares why community matters so much, how connection can be the difference between staying stuck and moving forward, and what changed when he decided to take ownership of his future. We also dive into Jay's move into real estate, lessons learned the hard way in business, and why being visible and available is one of the most underrated skills if you want to grow your network and opportunities. The episode wraps with the mission behind the 50 Mile March—an endurance event designed to empower veterans and raise awareness around veteran mental health and homelessness. What happens when life hits you from every direction at once?In this episode of Shut Up and GRIND, Robert B. Foster talks with DK Kang — author, martial artist, and resilience coach — about rebuilding when everything falls apart. After his wife's breast cancer diagnosis, losing his job, years of infertility struggles, family loss, and $60,000 in debt, DK found himself emotionally, financially, and spiritually exhausted. But he didn't stay there.Drawing on faith, discipline, and the power of small daily decisions, DK rebuilt his life from the inside out — and now helps others do the same. This conversation is for anyone navigating burnout, loss, or the question, “What now?”It's real, raw, and filled with tools to help you move forward with grit, gratitude, and grace.
A truck ride to a thrift store, a body shaking from withdrawal, and a heart convinced it was too late—that's where Kim's turnaround begins. What unfolds is a raw, hope-filled journey through addiction, relapse, faith, and a reunion a decade in the making. We go past the highlight reel to the slow work: how self-medication starts with one prescription, how shame isolates, why conviction is different from condemnation, and what it takes to rebuild a life one honest step at a time.Kim grew up in a stable home, but loss, divorce, and depression opened the door to pills, then to heroin when prescriptions stopped. At 58, she believed absence might be her greatest gift to her son. Instead, community and a long-term program gave her a scaffold to stand on. She shares the moment Scripture came alive, the power of hearing “come back” after a kratom slip, and the hard choice to reenter recovery when pride screamed no. We unpack practical tools for any season: choosing a program length that fits, finding sponsors and mentors, using simple routines to outlast cravings, and replacing guilt with action. There's no neat arc here—just perseverance, daily obedience, and a faith that offers dignity before results arrive. The story lands with a quiet miracle: a family reunion, a “Happy Thanksgiving, Mama” text, and the steady joy of paid bills, honest work, and real friends. If you've felt too old, too far gone, or too ashamed to try again, this conversation offers a clear path forward and a gentle push to take the next step. Press play, share with someone who needs courage, and if this moved you, subscribe, rate, and leave a review so more people can find their road to redemption. For more information contact us atrtrdestiny@gmail.com
Evan and Tiki break down the brutal reality of the New York Jets after an embarrassing finish to the season and a disastrous first year under Aaron Glenn. They explain why Aaron Rodgers winning games in Pittsburgh does not mean the Jets made the wrong decision, and why keeping him would have actually made the future worse. The conversation dives into whether firing Aaron Glenn after one season would truly fix anything, or if it would push the Jets further into dysfunction. Evan lays out why “trust me” and “have faith” is not a real plan, while still arguing that a one and done firing may do more harm than good without a clear upgrade waiting. They examine how trading Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams changed the locker room, why the roster looked nonprofessional down the stretch, and how the Jets ended up here with so little talent on the field. Plus, a realistic look at the quarterback options, draft capital, cap space, and whether there is any legitimate reason for hope moving forward. It is an honest Black Monday discussion about a franchise at rock bottom and the dangerous choices that come next.

In this episode of Unlocked, Savannah Chrisley sits down with her brother, Chase Chrisley, for one of their most honest conversations yet. What starts with sibling banter and jokes about laser treatments quickly turns into a raw look at the last few years their family has walked through together.Chase opens up about his struggles with alcohol, hitting rock bottom, going to rehab, and what sobriety has taught him about himself, accountability, and rebuilding trust. Savannah shares what it was like loving someone through addiction, setting boundaries, and navigating her own healing along the way. It is candid, messy, emotional, and very Chrisley, with plenty of laughs woven in between the hard truths. They talk about family dynamics, forgiveness, therapy, growth, and why choosing better does not mean pretending the past did not happen. Life has a way of bringing us to our knees—moments when everything we thought was solid falls away, and the path forward feels uncertain or even impossible. Yet it is often in those lowest moments that a quieter, deeper power begins to emerge. A power rooted not in control or dominance, but in persistence, compassion, and the courage to choose oneself again. In this powerful episode, Cindy Watson sits down with Dr. Patricia V. Smith for a deeply moving conversation titled "From Rock Bottom to Resilience: The Feminine Power of Negotiating Your Life Back." Dr. Smith, author of I Persist, is a passionate advocate for mental health and women's empowerment, and she brings both wisdom and lived experience to this discussion. This conversation is an invitation to explore what it truly means to negotiate your life back after rock bottom—to reclaim your voice, your worth, and your future. It is about resilience as a feminine strength, and the transformative choice to rise, not by force, but by honoring your inner wisdom and refusing to give up on yourself. During this episode, we unpack: The power of hope. How hope can be use as a negotiation strategy? How feminine traits can create better outcomes? The role inner negotiation plays in changing your mindset. What is social awareness? And many more! Roll On returns! Just in time for the holiday gauntlet. Adam Skolnick and I unpack three questions the season demands: how to navigate family gatherings when the same dynamics play out like clockwork, what rock bottom actually means (hint: it's a launchpad for transformation, not a life sentence), and why I've traded rigid goals for something more like trajectory. We get into the superpower of extreme neutrality, why everyone is right from their perspective, and morning pages as the unlock you didn't know you needed.
