We are all born truth-tellers. But we learn too soon how to bury that truth. Untethered Voice is a podcast for creatives, healers, coaches, humans with a calling to find a voice that sounds like you. So you can speak your truth, show up and be seen in your soul-based business. Who you really are is both more incredible and more human than most of us let on. And yet our culture teaches us to express ourselves from a muted place where we show up as “professional,” in roles that box us in and don’t allow us to be as shiny and glorious or as humanly real as we really are. Untethering your voice is not just about speaking. Its about reclaiming your power, letting your creativity burst out of you and using your human voice, even as it shakes, as a channel of your soul. An untethered voice is one that holds unique power because of how very long it has been held back. And finding yours will be one of your greatest assets in authentically building your business. Hosted by former Emmy award-winning journalist, storyteller, visibility guide and human cheeseball Cara Jones, Untethered Voice will take you on one woman’s ongoing journey to find her voice. The wisdom and amazing humans you meet along the way will move and compel you to dig deeper, create and say more. Does speaking your truth come easy to you? It never has for me.Twelve years ago, I got a call to tell my story about growing up in a wild religion/cult. When I first started, I had every reason not to tell this story. This part of my life was behind me, it wasn't part of who I was anymore. There was no point in bringing it all up again.Exploring my story put me on a healing path and part of that healing was letting my version of the story and all the emotions wrapped up in it be witnessed. When our stories are witnessed, they start to lose their grip, and over time, new ways of looking at that story emerge. Listen in, as I share how I answered the call to tell my story and the lessons I learned through it.In this episode on answering the call to tell your story, I dive into:The lessons I've learned from answering the call to tell my story; How each of us holds a unique kind of wisdom because of how we've struggled;Finding the energy to create the life you want;Every time we lose our way, it's because we're disconnected from our own medicine; And more.✨For more true stories, practical wisdom, and contemplations on speaking your truth, showing up and being seen in your life, and your soul-driven work, I welcome you to my email list.
