My list of WHYs that I keep by my bed and read and add to often in order to stay on track! When your WHY is bigger than your how (from my Mary Kay training a few years ago:))! You can make it happen. Remember your reasons for the change you want to make and (like Jodi Moore with Better than Happy(used to be Bold New Mom, love her podcast, she inspired me!!)) She talks about finding your motivation by finding the reasons and one that is especially emotional for you will help you to make a permanent change.
"Love is always going to serve you best. You are your best, most creative, most confident, most genius self when you’re operating in love.” Jody Moore (http://boldnewmom.com) is a life coach and podcaster whose business has exploded in the past couple of years due to the wise principles that she teaches about how we can adjust our own thoughts in order to achieve more happiness in our relationships with others. Jody Moore teaches that happiness is a skill—something that we need to learn how to do and then work on it and practice over and over. On today's podcast, she talks about three of her hallmark principles: 1) Your relationship is the story you tell yourself. Make it a good one.2) You are 100% responsible for your own emotions--and no one else's.3) Every person on earth is worthy of love, just as they are. Please listen in as we discuss these principles in the context of marriage, and don't forget to claim your free printable of Jody's "Three Keys to a Happier Marriage" by visiting 3in30podcast.com (https://3in30podcast.com) . "Fill your life with things that make you feel whole, instead of holey." In this week's episode, Julie Bastedo (who has taught high school English for 18 years and has two children of her own) walks mothers through some strategies to help us embrace who we truly are, instead of always pining after whom we think we "should" be. With humor and wisdom (and while quoting classic literature and poety, of course), Julie dives into each of the following takeaways: 1) Sit down and make a list of the unique gifts that YOU bring to your children.2) Only follow social media accounts that enhance what you are already good at. (Julie calls this "ancillary material." And don't worry, she defines that.)3) Recognize that you will be a source of joy and a source of disappointment for others throughout your life...and that's okay. Don't miss this lively and uplifting discussion between two old friends who want to empower and encourage each other--and all the women who are listening. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.Give the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. In the final analysis, it's between you and God.It was never between you and them anyway." -Jody Moore, Bold New Mom: "Other people's opinion of me is none of my business."

How do you know whether you're being successful as a mum when there's no measure? No pay rise, no promotion, no pat on the back. In this episode of Mum-to-Mum Monday you'll find out what success looks like in your role as a mum so you can go out and start to achieve it. My guest today is SuperMum, Jody Moore. Jody lives in Roseville, California with her husband and four children who are 14 months, 3, 9 and 10. Jody is a Speaker, Life Coach and Momologist. That's right, a Momologist. She's an expert on mums. Through her work, Jody helps mums understand and define success and believes that happiness is a skill that can be taught. Once Jody figured out how to change her own reality to a much happier one, she couldn't keep it to herself and went on to found the Bold New Mom community. In her decade of experience bringing up children, Jody knew her role as a mum was the most important one. Yet, like a lot of mums, felt it was the one she was the least qualified to perform well. This led her to learn about how to be successful in the ‘job', and to reprogram her mind to achieve it. She realised that negative emotion and disappointment can actually be used to serve us. Jody will teach you that being successful will help shape other areas of your life. In doing so, you can relieve yourself of the pressure to always have to get it right; drop your innate desire to continually keep your children happy; and start to retain your own identity despite the relentless demands of motherhood. I am delighted to have Jody on my show today as she'll help you understand that success is measured by things within your control, and will hand you the tools you need to excel as a mum.
