Data Futurology - Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence From Industry Leaders
Human beings are biased by nature. Each of us forms opinions about the world based on the experiences we've had and the backgrounds we come from. As companies step up the use of data in their day-to-day operations, they become increasingly reliant on data systems to help them make critical business decisions but this is still impacted by human bias. Even when consciously making a decision, these hidden biases influence good decision making, and like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, there is a ripple effect from that decision that can impact many areas. If you are in a leadership role, that ripple effect can result in multiple consequences in an organisation. In this week's podcast episode, Felipe spoke with Chris Dowsett, Head of Decision Science and Analytics at Spaceship. Chris has been working in Data Science, Analytics and Decision Science for the past 18 years. His specialty is helping business leaders make decisions and solve business challenges using data science and analytics. Don't miss this episode as Chris talks about the difference between data and decision science, plus much more! Enjoy the episode. Thanks to our sponsor Talent Insights Group!
