Today we are joined by Steven Harper for a discussion on the Law of Consecration. If you have ever asked yourself questions about the Law of Concecration such as: what exactly is it?—are we living it fully today or will that not happen until the Millennium?—what is the difference between it and the United Order?—or what does living it look like today? than this is the interview for you. For deeper look into the Law of Consecration make sure to check out Steven's book, "Let's Talk about the Law of Consecration" which can be found at Deseret Book or Amazon. https://deseretbook.com/p/let-s-talk-about-the-law-of-consecration?variant_id=199275-paperback

My Ain't No Big Thing radio show, live on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month from 9pm - 11pm (GMT) / 4pm - 6pm (EST) / 1pm - 3pm (PST) on BoxFrequency.fm. This week I have the pleasure of hosting a guest mix from the mighty Fred Berthet aka dj Steef. dj Steef is a Marseilles, France based producer known for making slow & funky downtempo house tracks. dj Steef started out working with Biomix (organizer of “Electronic Territories” Festival, later known as “Seconde Nature”), and after composing singles with Antoine Boullé under the pseudonym Venus Attack Project (on the label US Guidance), he created the band known as Troublemakers with his friend Lionel Corsini & Arnaud Taillefert. After an over-welcomed first LP ("Doubts and Convictions" on Guidance Recordings) and well received worldwide, Concecration came on the second one on Blue Note (“Express Way”) pushing The Troublemakers at one of the top electronic band in the French scene. Fred later on focused his attention on Copyshop project, influenced by the 80’s (Gomma, Toy Tonics, La Dame Noir, Numoment...). Producing now under dj Steef its was the occasion to synthesize his musical roots such as 80’s electro pop, poisonous disco, classy french influences, insistent downtempo and up warding house. Fred has found in his alter ego dj Steef the perfect combination of incredible fat, slow, funky downtempo house tracks that every body is so crazy about. As Gomma label boss says on him its not about fashion but clearly about style and that's why we all love his production stamped Biomix, in the shadows, under cover & simply outstanding. Next broadcast will be on May 18, 2014 and just might include another awesome guest and, as always, a track list, fully hyper linked, of my set can be found on my blog: http://djshmeejay.com/2014/04/24/dj-steef-dj-shmeejay-aint-no-big-thing-radio-show-2014-05-04/ To download a clean recording of dj Steef's set without me talking, hit this link. There are some things about life that when we get them right, everything else works like it is supposed to. Conversely, if we get them wrong, nothing falls into place. Bro. Hughes shares a story about how he assembled something. He had in his mind how is should work, but he decided to follow the instructions provided. While doing this, he discovered that there was a process that the manufacturer had laid out. Had he followed his intuition, he may have gotten the piece assembled, but by following the instructions the assembly was easier and worked better than if he had done it without following the directions. Our scripture text is one of the keys to life. There is a principle here that if we get it right will make a lot of other things right. Salvation should be everyone’s goal. There are dangers and obstacles along this earthly journey that can cause us to get off track and to miss out on that salvation. Paul outlines three things that we must do to avoid falling short and not see the Lord. Our text begins with following peace. In the Greek, the word peace means to pursue; to diligently strive after peace with all men. This means that we must work at getting along with people. The second part of verse 14 involves holiness. Holiness describes a relationship with God. It will affect every part of life. It is not an outdated way of living. It is a relationship between God and us. God is clean and pure, and that if we are going to have a relationship with Him, we must also be clean and pure in everything we do. Holiness is a spirit. For far too many, holiness is something that they wear, not something that they are. In verses 15-16, Paul talks about missing grace’s work. The only way for this to happen is for a person to become disconnected or distracted. If we do not get the holiness and peace part right, we may become distracted or disconnected and risk missing out on the grace that God offers. Paul mentions bitterness. If we don’t get the holiness and peace part, it is easy to become bitter. There are a lot of broken relationships due to bitterness. Finally Paul says we must be aware of the possibility of falling into an immoral or un-holy life. Most of us hear that and say no way. Bro. Hughes offers the example of Abraham. Abraham was called a friend of God, but even this great man of faith struggled with an unconsecrated life.
