Dr. Phil sits down with Jim Griffin, attorney for disgraced South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh, after a shocking court decision overturned Murdaugh's double murder conviction in the killings of his wife Maggie and son Paul. The South Carolina Supreme Court ruled Murdaugh did not receive a fair trial, citing improper jury influence and misconduct involving former court clerk Becky Hill — a dramatic development that has reignited national debate over one of America's most notorious murder cases. Now, Griffin joins Dr. Phil to break down the stunning reversal, the allegations of jury tampering, and why the defense believes the original verdict was deeply flawed. Dr. Phil presses Griffin on the evidence against Murdaugh, the public outrage surrounding the case, and what comes next as prosecutors prepare for a possible retrial. Could Alex Murdaugh really get another chance in court? And after everything the public has heard, is a fair trial even possible anymore? This episode is brought to you by TempraMed: Dr. Phil uncovers the hidden dangers tied to today's explosion of at-home injections — from insulin and GLP-1s to life-saving emergency medications. The Dan Markel prosecution has secured five convictions, yet two individuals the state has formally identified as unindicted co-conspirators — Wendi Adelson and Harvey Adelson — remain uncharged. We examine the legal and strategic posture with a defense attorney and former prosecutor.Markel, a Florida State University law professor, was killed in 2014 amid protracted post-dissolution litigation with Wendi Adelson concerning custody and relocation. Prosecutors have maintained that the conspiracy was motivated by the family's desire to move Wendi and the children to South Florida after a court denied relocation. Convictions have followed against the two gunmen, the intermediary, Charlie Adelson, and Donna Adelson, who was sentenced to life.Following Donna Adelson's conviction, the State Attorney indicated charging decisions would be made within weeks. No indictment, grand jury action, or public announcement has issued in the interval. We address the questions that follow: the evidentiary burden of pursuing a perjury theory against a witness who testified under limited immunity; whether the proof previously deemed insufficient as to Harvey Adelson has materially changed; and how the pending appellate proceedings — oral arguments in Charlie Adelson's appeal have been heard, with Donna Adelson's appeal also pending — bear on prosecutorial timing. Our guest offers a disciplined assessment of what the continued silence signals and at what point a decision not to charge becomes, in effect, a decision to decline.Links:Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Tap here to send us a message!Conviction is not meant to restrict spiritual growth, but to protect the heart and lead into true freedom through obedience to God. The Spirit works to expose what is contrary to His will, calling for a separation from the things that seek to gain dominion over life. Real liberty is found when convictions are embraced, allowing godly boundaries to produce a life that is governed by righteousness rather than controlled by sin.05/30/26 - Thursday Night Scriptures: John 16:7-13John 16:8Psalm 5:4Colossians 3:5Romans 6:16-18

This lack of opposition gives a sad face to Progressive Fascist Democrat Representative Jamie Raskin, Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, who has rushed in with an estrogenically hysterical and largely fantastical amicus brief asking the D.C. DOING LIFE: Daily Devotions For Finding Peace in Stressful Times
The Holy Spirit allows one to have the courage of their convictions.
For over four decades, former members of the Word of Faith Fellowship have tried to hold the church accountable through every available channel — journalists, law enforcement, social services, federal prosecutors, the courts. According to those who lived it, the system failed at every turn. Jane Whaley's 2004 assault conviction was overturned after five years of appeals. More than forty former members gave testimony to the SBI in the 1990s. No charges resulted. Inside Edition investigated in 1995. The church survived. DSS opened child abuse investigations. The church sued the department and won. Former members told the AP that the church orchestrated a cover-up strategy in which congregants were pressured into lying to investigators and recanting prior statements. Church leaders and followers reportedly gave at least eighty-five thousand dollars to state politicians, according to WRAL's analysis. Members volunteered at campaign events for Donald Trump, according to the New York Times. The local Republican Party in Rutherford County was allegedly taken over by people connected to the fellowship. Matthew Fenner's criminal case stalled for over eight years following a 2017 mistrial. A special prosecutor took over the case in 2026. The only convictions secured: unemployment fraud. Tony Brueski closes a five-part investigation with the systems that were supposed to protect victims — and reportedly failed them for more than forty years.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Thirteen prosecutions in ten years. That is what the New York Times investigation found for cruise ship assault cases across the entire industry. The system was built to produce exactly this result. Ships register under foreign flags for tax benefits and jurisdictional cover. Crimes at sea are initially investigated by private security employed by the cruise line. The CVSSA requires reporting but not prosecution. When crew are caught with exploitation material, deportation is the default — no charges, no trial, no registry. After Operation Tidal Wave, 27 crew were deported. KPBS confirmed zero charges in two federal districts. When families pursue civil suits, the cruise lines settle behind NDAs. One firm has handled over a thousand cases — approximately one-third involving minors — the vast majority resolved with confidentiality. The system was not broken by accident. It was designed to move every case away from public accountability. Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary
Why were zero charges filed after Operation Tidal Wave? Why does the New York Times find only 13 prosecutions in a decade? Why do settlements come with NDAs? This is the architecture of the justice gap: foreign-flag registration placing ships under jurisdictions that do not investigate. Private security teams with inherent conflicts of interest conducting the first investigation. A federal law requiring reporting but not prosecution. An enforcement default that deports crew without charges — creating no record, no registry, and no deterrent. KPBS confirmed no charges in two federal districts for the San Diego operation. All 27 deported. Crew return home with clean records. Maritime attorneys confirm they can board another ship. Civil lawsuits are met with NDA-laden settlements. The system moves in one direction: away from public accountability. In a jaw-dropping legal reversal that has rocked the true-crime world, the South Carolina Supreme Court has overturned Alex Murdaugh's double-murder convictions and ordered a brand-new trial. On May 13, 2026, in a unanimous 5-0 decision, the justices ruled that Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill placed her “fingers on the scales of justice” by improperly influencing the jury—telling jurors not to be fooled by Murdaugh, warning them to watch his every move, and tainting the entire 2023 trial. What exactly did Becky Hill say behind closed doors? Was her interference tied to a book deal? And after three years of appeals, financial-crime convictions, and endless headlines, what happens next—could Murdaugh walk free, or is the death penalty now back on the table? In this explosive episode, Jim Chapman breaks down the full Supreme Court opinion, the shocking allegations of jury tampering, the prosecutors' next moves, and what this means for one of the most notorious cases in modern American history. If you thought the Murdaugh saga couldn't get any wilder… you were wrong.Timestamps00:28 Murdoch Verdict Overturned03:37 Trial Background07:50 Juror Tampering Revealed09:48 Financial Crimes Matter12:48 Motive Evidence Fight17:22 Probative Versus Prejudice23:01 Supreme Court Reverses26:35 No Prison Release27:49 Retrial Ahead29:20 Trial Costs and Fallout#murdaugh #trial #supremecourt #reversal #podcast #southcaroline #truecrime #convictionFor commercial free early releases, bonus episodes and more! https://www.patreon.com/exposedpodcastfilesBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/exposed-scandalous-files-of-the-elite--6073723/support.

The Supreme Court of South Carolina ruled that Alex Murdaugh is entitled to a new trial, citing improper influences on the jury. According to the court, Becky Hill's comments and actions compromised the integrity of the jury, violating Murdaugh's right to a fair trial. The court emphasized that every defendant is entitled to an impartial jury, free from external influences. The court found that Hill made statements to jurors that suggested Murdaugh was guilty. While the court did not review every evidentiary issue raised by Murdaugh's appeal, it provided guidance on the admissibility of his financial crimes in the upcoming trial. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson expressed disappointment but acknowledged the necessity of a fair trial. Wilson stated that he intends to seek a speedy retrial, hoping to have it completed by the end of the year. Joining the podcast is Matt Siembieda, an attorney and law professor at Temple Law School. Today's Headlines: Trump touched down in Beijing for his Xi Jinping summit — greeted by a military band and hundreds of children waving flags — while Elon Musk technically skipped his own OpenAI trial to attend as emotional support, despite the judge explicitly not excusing him. On the Iran war, US intelligence assessed that Iran still has operational access to 30 of its 33 missile sites and about 70% of its prewar missile stockpile, which is not what "totally obliterated" means, and for the seventh time Senate Democrats tried to advance a war powers resolution to force a congressional vote on Iran and for the seventh time it failed. On the domestic front, the DOJ is discussing settling Trump's personal tax return lawsuit for up to $10 billion in taxpayer money — potentially including dropping all audits of Trump, his family, and his businesses — while the FBI has been running an internal "payback squad" of agents handling cases against Trump's political enemies out of off-site locations for over a year. Trump got his preferred Fed chair with Kevin Warsh confirmed 54-45, the narrowest margin in modern history, and the White House is planning 250 pardons to celebrate America's 250th birthday because of course it is. On the redistricting front, Louisiana senators stayed up all night to advance a map eliminating one of the state's two majority-Black districts, and South Carolina's governor called a special session specifically to pass a new map eliminating Jim Clyburn's seat with a simple majority instead of the usual two-thirds vote. Alligator Alcatraz is closing after costing Florida hundreds of millions in under a year, and Alex Murdaugh's murder convictions were unanimously overturned by South Carolina's Supreme Court after it emerged the court clerk told jurors not to be "fooled" by him — before writing a book about the trial. In a unanimous decision, the South Carolina Supreme Court has overturned Alex Murdaugh’s 2023 convictions of murdering his wife and son and ordered a new trial. The justices wrote they had no choice but to make their ruling because the county clerk of court, Rebecca Hill improperly influenced the jury at trial, by suggesting they could not trust Murdaugh’s testimony. South Carolina’s attorney general has vowed to aggressively seek to retry Murdaugh as soon as possible. Murdaugh will not be getting out of prison in the meantime, as he is currently serving 40 years for state and federal financial crimes. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Alex Murdaugh case has taken a stunning turn. According to the South Carolina Supreme Court opinion discussed in this video, Richard Alexander Murdaugh's murder convictions have been reversed, and the case has been remanded for a new trial. The Court focused on improper communications between Colleton County Clerk of Court Rebecca Hill and members of the jury, finding that those outside influences violated Murdaugh's constitutional right to a fair trial by an impartial jury. This is not an acquittal. This is a new trial. In this episode of Crime Talk, we break down why the Court applied the Remmer presumption of prejudice, why the State failed to overcome it, what Rule 606(b) means for juror testimony, and how the Court addressed the financial-crimes evidence that played such a major role in the original trial. The biggest question now: What happens next for Alex Murdaugh? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Did the Court get it right? #AlexMurdaugh #MurdaughTrial #TrueCrime #CrimeTalk #SouthCarolina #BreakingNews #LegalAnalysis #MurdaughCase #RebeccaHill #NewTrial
U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived in Beijing for a two-day visit with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. China rolled out the red carpet for the U.S. president, with tech giants and business chiefs eyeing deals under Xi's communist regime. The South Carolina Supreme Court on May 13 overturned lawyer Alex Murdaugh's murder convictions and life sentence over the fatal shootings of his wife and younger son. The justices unanimously ruled the conduct by the court clerk “egregiously attacked Murdaugh's credibility.”Murdaugh will remain in prison. He pleaded guilty to 22 counts of federal financial crimes for stealing about $12 million from his clients and is serving 40 years.
The woman in charge of protecting Alex Murdaugh's jury was the one who corrupted it. That is the finding of the South Carolina Supreme Court, which has unanimously reversed Murdaugh's double murder convictions and ordered a new trial.Former Colleton County Clerk Becky Hill made repeated comments to jurors urging them to reject the defense — to watch Murdaugh closely, not to be fooled, not to be confused or thrown off by his attorneys. She told them the day he testified was “epic.” Someone from her staff told the jury deliberations shouldn't take long. One juror — Juror Z — submitted a sworn affidavit saying Hill's remarks made her feel like Murdaugh was already guilty before deliberations began. She had doubts about his guilt but voted to convict under pressure. The five-justice panel found that former Chief Justice Jean Toal committed multiple legal errors in denying Murdaugh's new trial motion. Toal placed the burden on the wrong party, questioned jurors about their internal deliberations in violation of evidence rules, and relied on those improper answers. The Supreme Court overruled one of its own prior decisions to reinforce that juror mental processes are off-limits in these proceedings. The ruling also takes aim at the prosecution's financial crimes presentation, which consumed over twelve hours of jury testimony across ten trial days. The court said the State went far too deep into inflammatory details with no connection to the motive theory and ordered any retrial to limit that evidence significantly. Hill pled guilty to perjury in December 2025. The Attorney General has confirmed a retrial is coming. Murdaugh stays incarcerated on financial sentences while the murder case begins again.LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
