Full disclosure – this can be a touchy subject for a lot of hunters. The topic of public disclosure of hunting “spots” came up after a past episode and Jimmy, Mark, Ryan and Erik all have some varying thoughts on the matter. Do hunters of public land gain too much of a sense of ownership over certain hunting areas? Hunter recruitment is lower than ever, but are some hunters actually happy about it? Is this more an issue of opposing sides simply not wanting their counterparts to have “Too easy of a hunt”? Are we helping state and local wildlife agencies and management if we’re keeping our stories and locations “Hush hush” from the outside world? These are just a few of the topics discussed in this podcast. We completely understand that there are a variety of opinions on the topic and fully respect everyone’s thoughts on the matter. In fact – we’d love to hear what you think about this very topic, too. As always, let’s work to keep the discussion positive for everyone and respectful because in the end, we’re all on the same team. *Edit: Hey, we wanted to try and clarify a point/information we interpreted incorrectly or was originally communicated to us incorrectly. Either way, here we go. Big game tag number allotment in Wyoming isn’t dictated by state or federal funding opportunities….First and foremost, the status and health of game populations and the predicted harvest they can support while maintaining the management objectives of each population are. Determining the number of licenses to issue for a given species and area is a very complex process that involves analysis of a lot of biological information and social factors. Since most of the Wyoming agency funding comes from the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, they are often accused of being all about money. However, the biologists and game wardens aren't looking at revenue projections when they make season recommendations. There is enough demand for hunting licenses in Wyoming that they could actually sell a lot more of them, but would they be providing quality hunting opportunities and doing what is best for wildlife? The answer is most assuredly no. As a service to hunters, access or a lack of access can be taken into consideration when determining the number of available tags. In areas where access is limited, in an effort to not mislead hunters there may be more opportunity than what is realistic, tag allotment may fall at a number under what a game population in a specific region could sustain while maintaining optimal health. At what point does a Discord call go from being a conversation to a podcast? In this pilot episode of our unnamed podcast, a group of friends introduce themselves and talk a lot about Pokemon. Also, who needs custom art for the podcast thumbnail (we're lazy ok). Edit: Hey it's me from the future, and turns out we made custom art after all :) Featuring: Ryan, Alex, Darwin, Megan, Kevin, Kayla, and Rene
Edit: Hey folks, Dan here. I’ve edited about 9 minutes of me stammering and falling asleep out of the podcast so it’s hopefully a little more palatable. But don’t worry I will never try this again. Love ya XX Howdy howdy; Dan here. I recorded this late last night so I’m sorry it lacks our … Continue reading Cunning Action Episode 1 – Dan’s Dungeon Tips

This post contains the updated, and hopefully fixed version of the latest podcast. The intros are slightly clippy but the show audio it self seemed better. Sorry guys, I hope to have this issue ironed out for next week. Thanks for sticking with us.
EDIT: Hey guys, evidently I blew it. This episode required some tricky editing, and as a result, we refer to something at the end of the episode seemingly out of no where. We had been discussing how a man in Taipei died in an internet cafe, and no one noticed for hours. So for background info, check out the article here to have some idea what we're talking about: Gamers Ignore Corpse in Internet Cafe. Now, I obviously could go back and edit the references we make out of the episode, but it's not that big a deal. Just know that we had been talking about how nerds get too invested in things. It's insane that this guy died sitting in a chair in front of a computer. Also, Bobby asks how this is possible, since the guy died after just 10 hours of sitting. He asked why being immobile for a long time evidently kills you. Wouldn't people die in their sleep every night? I made the hilarious joke that when it's recommended you get 8 hours of sleep a night, 8 hours isn't the minimum...It's the maximum! "You gotta get outta that bed, baby!" Man, I should have left all that in, that's hilarious. I'm hilarious. Anyway: This week, Bobby and I are joined again by Michael Costa and Matt Battaglia to have another conversation about a whole bunch of nerdy bullshit. We might actually be nerdier in this one. This episode has it all: The Walking Dead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Batman, Harry Potter, Star Wars, and a renewed debate over which one of us is the nerdiest. The decision is honestly pretty surprising. We also talk about the concept of saying "well the book is better than the movie."
