EXAMPLE MEMBERS' CONTENT - FREE FOR 24 HOURS. ---------- 2024-06-03 | Tax increases will hit everyone (in Russia) by Michael Naki and Vladimir Milov | Translated from the original Russian by Jonathan Fink ---------- What has become clear about the Russian economy over the past week. Now we won't be able to tell how petrol production fell, since it was defined as classified, which, of course, is a sure sign that everything is fine and under control, but a lot of other things were happening. Let's start with gasoline, because this is just a complete joke. Indeed, they decided after the last time, remember, we discussed, last week the lowest level for the production of gasoline from diesel since February was reached. That is, all these attacks on Russian refineries, as we find out, work. They just stupidly decided to keep it secret, as they say, in order to prevent market manipulation by unscrupulous parties. This classification of data on gasoline production indicates that they have big, irreparable problems. That is, apparently, they do not want it to be seen how seriously the Ukrainian strikes are knocking out all these Russian oil refining capacities. ---------- LINKS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_v-dmEsp9cA&t=1662s @MackNack @Vladimir_Milov ---------- SUPPORT THE CHANNEL: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/siliconcurtain https://www.patreon.com/siliconcurtain ---------- TRUSTED CHARITIES ON THE GROUND: kharpp - Reconstruction project supporting communities in Kharkiv and Przemyśl https://kharpp.com/ Save Ukraine https://www.saveukraineua.org/ Superhumans - Hospital for war traumas https://superhumans.com/en/ UNBROKEN - Treatment. 2025-05-29 | Michael Naki | How Putin Destroyed Luhansk ---------- Russian propaganda has been trying for 10 years to pretend that there was no Russian invasion of Donbass. That in fact, a civil war took place in Ukraine 10 years ago, and the residents of Donbass simply wanted to secede, they wanted independence from Kyiv. And the bloody Kiev regime came and began to destroy Donbass in response. Where have you been for eight years? Asked during the start of the Russian full-scale invasion two years ago? All kinds of TV presenters. Eight years while Ukraine bombed Donbass. In fact, Ukraine destroyed enemy troops that occupied its territory. In fact, there was no civil war in Ukraine. There was the Russian army, there were Russian representatives who came to Donbass and simply began to seize everything there, masquerading as some kind of local population, and so on. Over the course of 10 years, Donbass was transformed from a prosperous region that needed almost nothing, into a garbage dump, where shells rattle every day, into a garbage dump, where the stadium has been empty for a long time and where people simply live not like in the 90s, but much worse. Because various kinds of bandits who came from Moscow constantly do nothing but divide the remaining fragments of Donbass that still exist. During their very first meeting, musicians Lamiae Naki and Nat Hulskamp wrote their first song together and decided to get married. The resulting project was Seffarine, an eclectic ensemble that blends traditional Andalusian and Moroccan music with jazz and other contemporary influences. The band is based in Portland, but has performed and recorded throughout Europe, Africa and North America. Their most recent residency was in Morocco, just days after the devastating earthquake that leveled several remote villages in the Atlas Mountains. Naki and Hulskamp join us for an in-studio performance and a conversation about their wide-ranging influences, their travels and the band’s upcoming show at the Alberta Rose Theatre, which will benefit earthquake relief efforts in Morocco.
In this engaging discussion with Southern Utah University Sports Communications students, Naki Asisi shared valuable insights from his extensive career in college athletics. He emphasized that his experiences and lessons learned were applicable beyond sports careers and encouraged students to critically consider their own paths. Key takeaways included:1. Adaptability and Resilience: Naki stressed the importance of embracing adversity and being open to change. Adaptation is crucial in the face of challenges.2. Networking vs. Expertise: While acknowledging the value of connections, he challenged the idea that "who you know" is everything. Naki emphasized that expertise and a deep understanding of your role are equally vital for long-term success.3. Balancing Sacrifice and Sanity: Naki shared a valuable lesson about finding equilibrium between striving for your goals and maintaining your mental well-being. Sacrifice is necessary, but not at the cost of your sanity.4. Path Corrections: He encouraged students not to view setbacks as failures but as opportunities for redirection and growth. Every experience contributes to your journey.Naki also introduced his entrepreneurial ventures, such as Varsity Sports TV (formerly Utah Sports TV) and "The Recruit Grind" podcast, aimed at educating young athletes on the college sports recruitment process.
