This week, I was on site at Fibonacci Brewing in the Mt. Healthy neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio, as two special guests joined me. First, Fibonacci co-owner Bob Bollas joined me to discuss the history of the brewery and their place in the Cincinnati craft beer scene. Then, Diana Keller from the Keep Moving Forward Podcast joins me to discuss her podcast, as well as the upcoming release of her book, Stop Talking About the Weather. Diana is hosting multiple book release events at breweries around Cincinnati in the next two months. Brewery Adventures is brought to you by Rivalry Brews. Hey, welcome back. We have to get back to the basics so no funny business with seltzers this week although we reserve the right to become a seltzercast. That time has come again as we announce the Goose Island Bourbon Stouts of the year. This is our third time doing this and the selection returns with a coffee offering, the first since 2017. Some good stuff in this lineup that drops on Black Friday. A government official in trouble? Yes a Virginia ABC official has been busted for profiting off insider information with the state's rare bourbon allocations. He betrayed the beloved bourbon community for profit. Seems about right. David in his attempt to avoid real sports completed a Triathalon and didn't finish last. He was close but the main thing is he paid his money and finished with a medal, that he paid for. His efforts earned him a little treat of Fibonacci Brewing Company this week and their The Noid. Job well done David. Gary had to detox from all the seltzer so it was back to bourbon. He may or may not have caved to peer pressure that Uncle Mike put on him by calling him names. This week the combat sports inspired Puncher's Chance was a surprisingly nice change up from the bubbly frat boy drinks of weeks past. The cast was fortunate to have Christopher Page sit in as a guest host. Check out his podcasts Time Shifters and Orphaned Entertainment. Christopher brought along two beers from the Cincinnati brewery Fibonacci . Kathleen does a fine job with the synopsis especially since it the first time she’s seen a Godzilla movie.
Highlights from Episode 25 It’s May and that means we get to watch a Mexican Monster Movie, much to Kathleen’s chagrin. In this episode we try Left Hand Brewery’s Good Juju Pete also whipped out a beer he’s been cellering since 2013 to share with the cast. New Holland Brewery’s El Mole Ocho. The words … Continue reading "EP025 – Santo versus The Blob (1973)"

This week we pay a visit to Fibonacci Brewing Company for two full segments of our show. First, we are joined by Bob and Betty Bollas for a look at the Fibonacci philosophy, where they are as a brewery and where they are headed with new projects. Next, we move over to the bar to run through some of their wonderfully interesting beer. Before the visit we catch you up on all our adventures of the week and afterwards we share some great recommendations for things to do in the next seven days as only the Charlie Tonic Hour can!
Scott and Mike head out on the road again, this time to Fibonacci Brewing in Cincinnati. The fellas spend the first part of the episode talking with Bob Bollas, the owner and head brewer at Fibonacci to talk about the brewery, the process, and the craft beer scene. In this week's Upper Deck, we learn more about the NCAA's archaic rules, Phelps taking on a shark, super expensive ivy, the MLB breaking out of their shells a bit, and Michael Floyd's off the field issues. The conversation switches to Mayweather vs. McGregor, as fans call in with their thoughts. Blake Stephenson (host of Loaded Joe's MMA Podcast and Loudmouth Boxing) calls in and weighs in on the issue. Scott and Mike wrap things up by discussing the Penguins amazing run to the Stanley Cup, the NBA Finals, and FC Cincinnati's big win over Columbus Crew.
