On this episode of Cinedicate, we fight to survive from supernatural creatures. Aaron from WSTR: Galactic Public Access returns to discuss, The Mist. Adapted from Stephen King's Novella, director Frank Darabont (The Walking Dead, The Shawsank Redemption) tells the story of a group of unsuspecting citizens trapped within a supermarket as a supernatural force descends upon them. However, the true danger is not outside their walls, but within.
Day 30. The Cinesthesia boys are getting close to the light at the end of the tunnel, but first they have to get through Frank Darabont's The Mist (2007). Jim gives Jason's Secret Window a good ol' fashioned Dark Halfin' (yes, it's late enough in the month where they have started speaking in Kingisms) and guest star Frankie Vanaria immediately regrets agreeing to be on the show. Join a filmmaker (and sometimes film teacher) and a film teacher (and sometimes filmmaker) as they venture into the dark heart of their own befuddled relationship to culture, the youth, the internet, friendship, love, hate, time, space and, of course: *m*o*v*i*e*s*. Come hear what we see.
It's Octoberween in full swing around here with Stephen King's and/or Frank Darabont's The Mist and... that's it!

Man oh man, the boys are gonna need a little more beer than usual to deal with the ending of Frank Darabont's "The Mist". This episode teaches us the important lesson that life is terrible and nothing matters. Enjoy!
This week Sean and Steven turn to elemental horror/monster movies. First, they review and discuss the new horror movie from actor/writer/director John Krasinski called A Quiet Place, which has caused a lot of noise at the box office (pun intended). Then they get into a couple movies that deal with the elements in their horror with Pitch Black from 2000 with a star-making turn from Vin Diesel, and Frank Darabont's The Mist starring the beloved Thomas Jane. Rate and review us on Apple Podcasts, and enjoy.
In another multi-part extravaganza that begins with an uncharacteristically positive vibes-laden monologue and discussion, the boys took some extra time to discuss the masterpiece that was Logan, its relation to The Last of Us, and how it shows that if Marvel gave a shit and followed its example, they might stop producing crap that's meant for children and dorks. Stay tuned for Part 2 next week in which the boys wrap up their conversation by doing a deep dive with Frank Darabont's The Mist and Barry Jenkins' Moonlight. Thanks again to Creative Commons and the talents of these fine artists for allowing the use of their music: "Tainted Cloth" by Oelek, "The Cannery" and "Wagon Wheel" by Kevin MacLeod, and "The Troll of the Mountain Swing" by Underscore Orkestra.
