It’s a Christmas Halloween crossover this week several months behind as the guys talk Stanley Kubrick’s sexually-charged thriller “Eyes Wide Shut”. Joey lays out the pagan symbolism of 1973’s The Wicker Man starring Christopher Lee while Adam and Michael sort tapes and have a separate conversation about 2006’s Wicker Man starring Nicholas Cage.

Couple of belles late to the ball, the vagrants kick off Boosfest just before the crack of midnight Halloween. Getting gothic gay romance spooky with 1994’s obviously Michael pick, Interview with the Vampire. Prepare to learn more about vampire bowel movements than you ever wanted to know.

It’s got a budding romantic relationship between Mad Eye Moody and Porthos the Pirate, Betty White’s ca-ca mouth, and a big fuckin’ crocodile. If those aren’t selling points for you then you can probably skip 1999’s Lake Placid.

Michael and Adam discover that Joey’s been secretly utilizing them in a pirate radio broadcast he’s been running out of the back of the video store. This week’s broadcast tackles Joe Dante’s The 'Burbs, but Joey wants to lock the guys in the supply closet until they bear some semblance to the employees he hired. We don’t have that kind of time, Joey!

The Vagrants are gradually adjusting to a return to semi-normalcy, though normal typically entails not actually doing their jobs. Soylent Green is their remedial film subject. Did you hear it’s people? Spoiler alert.

After a four month shutdown, the video store is open for business and the vagrants are out of quarantine and back on the showroom floor. Remembering how to do their jobs presents a challenge, but it's easy to maintain social distancing without any customers. 

The guys gets their acceptance letters to Hogwarts so they can tackle Adam’s pick, 2004’s Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. You ever dance with a Dementor in the pale moon light?

The guys take Video Store Vagrants on its maiden voyage with Joey’s pick, 1987’s Robocop, leaving you with the only question that really matters: have you accepted Robocop as your personal savior? I’d buy that for a dollar!

The scurvy dogs hit the high seas to talk about 2003’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and Joey spends the episode being the worst pirate they’ve ever heard of. But...why is the rum gone?

Nostalgia reigns supreme as the guys unpack 1984’s Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom from their box of childhood memories. Harrison Ford is a heartthrob and they’re secure enough in their sexuality to say it. Hold onto your potatoes!

The guys get a dang Mogwai for Christmas with Joe Dante’s Gremlins, even though they’ve already got a strange furry creature they can’t feed after midnight or expose to sunlight in Joey. Get a job, Pelzer!

The sheer force of Joey’s will is front and center to talk about his pick, David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive. He’s successfully able to answer about 70% of the questions the guys have about this strange ass journey.

The gang explores Disney's take on the 17th century in 1993's The Three Musketeers. They learn the art of wenching from Oliver Platt and fine tune their art of constantly drinking with Kiefer Sutherland. Special guest appearance by Bryan Adams. 

The guys crack open a beer and chow down on some rat burgers to enjoy 1993's Demolition Man, diving headfirst into a PC future that no one actually wants, thank you anyway. Simon says Listen!

The spook troop wraps up the Boosfest saga with 2007's Trick 'r Treat, and listen to joey rank a series of anthology horror films they've never heard of. Critics of Michael are treated to a severe asthma attack in real time. Happy Halloween!

The guys keep the spooks rolling in the installment of the Boosfest saga with 1990's Night of the Living Dead. Michael's relieved to no longer be the only malnourished shambling corpse in the room. COOPER!

In the first installment of the Boosfest series, the guys turn up the spook for Halloween with Michael's pick, 1981's An American Werewolf in London. Joey, resident werewolf, advocates against harmful werewolf stereotypes. 

The guys go spooky lite in anticipation of October with the 1993 ghoul sequel Addams Family Values. Just a bunch of drunk Festers wishing they were Gomez.

The guys go on a nostalgia-filled romp through Outworld, discussing both the Mortal Kombat films while Joey yearns for a fatality to take him out of the experience entirely. GET OVER HERE! and give it a listen.

The boys talk John Carpenter's libertarian wet dream, "Escape From New York" (1981), and spend half the time super grateful they're not watching Escape From LA instead. 

Adam and Michael gush over Luc Besson's Fifth Element while Joey fails to understand why it was chosen. His attitude throughout the episode can be safely characterized as anything but super green.

Man oh man, the boys are gonna need a little more beer than usual to deal with the ending of Frank Darabont's "The Mist". This episode teaches us the important lesson that life is terrible and nothing matters. Enjoy!

It's Michael's Dad's birthday, so the guys spread a little cheer by taking his favorite movie, Young Frankenstein, for a drive. It ends up feeling like everyone's birthday because what a great movie.

The guys throw back some hooch and talk 2011's Cabin in the Woods. Is this real life or are scientists watching three drunk clowns stumble through a podcast as part of some sad ritualistic sacrifice? What a terrible job.

The guys drink and talk 1990's Total Recall and spend more time than Joey cared to hashing out the last season of Game of Thrones. Terrible Arnold Schwarzenegger impressions abound.

The boys are super onboard with The Crow, and it's in at least their top seven favorite movies released in 1994. Fire it up! Fire it up! Fire it up!

In their first BAC episode, the guys get intoxicated well beyond the limitations of the human body to rant and rave about the movie that stole their childhood from them, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

The boys summon Beetlejuice and it takes over an hour for him to show himself but that's less a criticism of his work ethic and more a referendum on their ability to stay on topic. Michael's sober for the first time in his adult life.  

Joey tries to convince Michael that Dazed and Confused is truly iconic and Michael basically hears him out. Spoiler alert: Adam returns and joins forces against Michael. How predictable.

The boys slam back some tall cold ones and dive into 1999's The Mummy, learning in real time that Billy Zane does not in fact play the Mummy and wondering where all the Brendan Frasers have gone. 

The guys drink and talk about the Roman emperor Caligula. You might laugh, you'll probably cry, you'll definitely drink more than is advisable. One thing you won't do: learn anything about Caligula.

Joey and Michael fawn over Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers while Adam remains stubbornly unconvinced. Would you like to know more?

Joey and Michael throw Adam, armed with nothing but his ignorance of the entire plot, into a choose your own adventure (spoiler alert: he dies)
