When mysterious orbs of light start appearing in photographs at haunted locations, a psychic medium claims they're messages from the dead — but paranormal investigators armed with science have a far less supernatural explanation that might burst your spiritual bubble.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: America's foremost exorcist, Theophilus Riesinger, faced off with Lucifer himself in the grueling 1928 case of a demonic possession in a rural Iowa convent. (The Exorcism of Emma Schmidt) *** One of the greatest magicians of all time was Chung Ling Soo. So adept at illusion, slight of hand, and fooling others that he was able to lead a double life… before being shot and killed performing his own magic trick. (The Magician Who Lived a Double Life) *** John Dee claimed he was visited by angels presented him with a secret language just angels, and the ability to perform a new magic they called Enochian. We'll look at his claims. (John Dee And The Language of Angels) *** A little boy goes fishing on a Spring day. He disappears. Another boy goes fishing nearby on the exact same day. He also disappears. A third child goes missing many years later in the same general area. What happened? (The Missing Fishing Boys) *** Venice's Poveglia Island was a quarantine center and mass grave for victims of bubonic plague – so it should come as no surprise it is considered one of the most haunted places in all of Europe. (Poveglia: The Island of Ghosts) *** It is one of history's greatest unsolved mysteries… what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke? We'll look at a few theories. (Lost Roanoke) *** You snap a selfie of the squad at brunch, but it's covered with shapes and light that definitely weren't present IRL. The whole thing is giving you major paranormal feels. Is it a loved one from the other side, making a cameo in your latest feed pic? Or a simple technological mishap? Throughout history, humans have devised punishments so agonizing that victims would beg for death's mercy — from the Assyrians who draped flayed skin on city walls to Civil War soldiers forced to ride wooden horses until they split apart.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: If you are concerned about a family member's excessive drinking, what do you do? Hold an intervention? Call Alcoholics Anonymous for advice? Perhaps confide in a close friend who might know what to do. In the case of teenaged sisters Sandra and Elizabeth Andersen, they were so frustrated with their mother's drunken ways they decided to kill her. (Murderous Sisters) *** One reason people don't like going to dentists is pain – even if there is no pain, just the idea of pain is enough to keep people away. But in the early 1900s there was a dentist so confident he could give you a painless tooth-extraction that he even changed his name to “Painless Parker”. But did his name live up to his claim? (A Dentist Named Painless Parker) *** Cliff Taylor reported seeing not just one, but two UFOs – and even more interesting, one of his sightings sounds like an extraterrestrial mothership… which appeared right next to his own house. And his was only a fraction of the hundreds of sightings that took place in 2008 just north of Philadelphia. (The Bucks County UFO Encounter) *** Of all the sites that are unexplained, the Bermuda Triangle is usually the first one that comes to mind. Located in the Caribbean, it is renowned for the ships and radio signals that have disappeared without explanation in recent years. Yet, there is another, perhaps lesser known region in which the inexplicable occurs. This location is often referred to quite simply as Mexico's Zone of Silence. (The Mexican Zone of Death) *** The definition of “punishment” is, “the infliction of some kind of pain or loss upon a person for a misdeed.” In most cases we look to serve punishment in proper proportion to the crime being committed – reserving the most severe punishments for the worst of the worst. But that has not always been the case – and there have been a lot of punishments doled out that we would consider worse than death – and for crimes we might not even consider crimes today. The CIA spent decades experimenting with psychic spies who could remotely view enemy secrets, and creating mind control programs that may have created assassins. The chilling possibility is that these programs never really ended.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: It was kept secret for years that the U.S. government spent millions of dollars and decades of research and experiments looking into the paranormal, trying to weaponize psychic powers like remote viewing and mind control. We were told they didn't find much success – but could that be part of an ongoing secret? What if they did succeed, but don't want us to know due to “national security” reasons? And what if they aren't just spying on our enemies, but also on us, the country's citizens? And if they can do that… can they also control our minds to make us think and do whatever they wish? It's a disturbing journey. ABOUT WEIRD DARKNESS: Weird Darkness is a true crime and paranormal podcast narrated by professional award-winning voice actor, Darren Marlar. A 16th-century witch hunter believed each person is caught between a guardian angel and their own personal demon — one who knows their deepest habits and weaknesses — and he mapped out the seven princes of Hell who rule over humanity's sins.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: You might have heard someone say during a severe storm, “it's raining cats and dogs out there!” Of course, it wasn't really raining felines and Fidos. But there have been instances of it raining frogs and fish. But did you hear about the time when for two-weeks straight it rained rocks and stones? (Raining Rocks, Storming Stones) *** In the film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” the ending… sorry, spoiler here, but it has been since 1977 so you have had plenty of time to see it… at the end of the film, the aliens drop off dozens of humans that they've abducted over the years, and then welcome a volunteer human to leave with them – like an extraterrestrial foreign exchange student program. It's a fascinating concept, an extremely well-written premise for the film… but could that actually happen? Better question… has it already happened? (The Zeta Reticuli and Project Serpo) *** It could be argued that while William H. Bonney, better known as Billy the Kid, was a real person in history – that his story is more legend than fact. But then, being a notorious outlaw, pretending to die, and convincing everyone you are dead – then living out the rest of your life until you were an old man… that does probably deserve the label of “legend'. Is that story the fact… or is it fiction? (The Billy The Kid Conspiracy) *** Stories of giant, winged predators in the sky streaking down and attacking children and even full-grown men have been around since… well… ever. Some don't believe it possible, but if you do a Google search for “man-eating bird” you'll quickly find out they were not only real – but alive not that long ago. Or, perhaps… still soaring the skies, looking for their next meal… especially in and around New England. (Man-Eating Thunderbirds of New England) *** We've all heard of guardian angels – the idea that each one of us has a personal, supernatural protector following us at all times, battling for our souls to keep us from spiritual harm, if not physical. But if that's true – could we also each have a personal demon as well? A being also battling for our souls to send us to hell? One famous witch hunter believed exactly that. Kris Lefcoe! Filmmaker! Writer! Director! Musician! Friend! Delight! More! We have a great chat! You can have a great listen! About Kris, from her website: "Kris Lefcoe (DGA) is a Canadian-American director and writer based in New York City. Her work has screened at TIFF, SXSW, Tribeca, British Film Institute, Art Basel Miami, IFC and on the Sundance Channel.

Kris is co-creator, writer and EP of “Making Plans For Nigel,” a comedy series in network development with Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Mary Rohlich (“Atypical”). Lefcoe's half-hour comedy “Giving Up,” about a New York couple facing their own deadline to either ‘make it' or give up their dreams, won top prizes at Seriesfest and New York Television Festival, and just had a theatrical premiere at the Roxy Cinema in NYC. The series was executive produced by David Wain and developed with Imagine Television. In 2020, Kris made her network directing debut on the NBC comedy “Superstore.”

Pitch-black comedy “Public Domain,” Kris' audacious audience-award-winning feature debut about a surveillance-based game show, was hailed as "creepy-funny and well-acted" (Variety), and "an assured debut" (Austin Chronicle). The film premiered at SXSW and was installed at Art Basel Miami.
Lefcoe's stop motion short “Tiny Riot Project,” featuring a riot squad of corporate mascots in a violent face off with endearing anarchists, premiered at IFF Rotterdam, was installed at Galerie Tomas Schulte Berlin, Havana Biennale, and Art Basel Miami, then sold to the Sundance Channel. Her acclaimed Twilight Zone-esque short “Can I Get a Witness?” starring Scott Speedman, screened at TIFF, BFI and Anthology Film Archives.

Kris' explosive music videos have garnered numerous nominations and awards, including the Peaches smash “Boys Wanna Be Her” which has over 3 million views on YouTube.
She recently won Best Director at New York Cinefest, and Best Director and Best Comedy at Deluxe Film Festival in Rome, for the sex-robot comedy “Technical Support” starring Aparna Nancherla and Courtney Pauroso, which quickly racked up almost million views on YouTube.  As a musician, Kris performs haunting original songs at live venues around NYC on a vintage keyboard she found in the garbage. Her first solo album will be released in Fall 2025. The advance single “Booked A Room” came out in 2024 with a hallucinatory stop motion video directed by Kris that premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Festival and just won Best Video and the Audience Award at San Luis Obispo Festival.  Kris is also a professor in the MFA Film and Television program at Stony Brook University, SUNY. In 2024 she created and launched the Post-MFA Pilot Incubator Lab to shepherd alumni into the industry. She lives with her husband and daughter in a long-forgotten borough called Manhattan." From a chair that killed 60 people to a haunted doll that demands written apologies, these stolen and cursed artifacts have exacted terrible revenge on those who dared to take them — through death, illness, and supernatural torment that forced their terrified owners to return them with desperate warnings to others.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: It was Labor Day, 1980 when Cynthia Clements disappeared – it wouldn't be until more than a month later that her body would be found. And we still don't know who killed her. (The Unsolved Murder of Cynthia Clements) *** A harbinger of doom is a sign, a warning of bad things to come. A supernatural forerunner to disaster, you might say – which several do, in Canada. There, they are more than familiar with forerunners of disaster and have several examples they could point to from over the years. (Canada's Harbingers of Doom) *** Can you sue a schnauzer? Can you take a cat to court? Put a Terrier on trial? Can you arrest a mule for murder? You'd be surprised how many animals have been put on trial – and for what reasons! (Accused Critters In Court) *** Wilford Sweeten was found dead of food poisoning. Then across town, a pastor's wife was found dead of food poisoning as well. And that' when rumors already circulating in the small town of Ida, Illinois began to be confirmed – and the identities of the killers would shock people nationwide. (The Murdering Minister) *** It was probably said best by Old Time Radio's “The Shadow” when he said at the beginning of each episode, “The weed of crime bears bitter fruit… crime does not pay.” But true life criminals don't seem to be too concerned about that. Some thieves, however, did learn it the hard way – when they stole what turned out to be cursed relics… and paid the price for swiping them. Episode 344 of RevolutionZ begins with some reflections on Zohran Mamdani's inspiring electoral win. How? By his campaign mobilizing an astonishing 50,000 volunteers. How? By he and his campaign feeling real and honest, and by offering real and meaningful vision. By electoral politics and grassroots activism becoming a mutual aid tag team rather than competing opponents. The episode then moves from Gaza's gut wrenching fascistic horrors to our own American "Twilight Zone" reality that seeks to entrench fascistic tendencies as normal life. The episode then  takes a break from its usual patterns to look at some music, some lyrics, hoping to find some clarity, courage, and, well, dignity. Hoping to find some potential sources for an emerging new youth culture which is something that we all, young and older alike, profoundly need to create, experience, and embrace. Bruce Springsteen's "Youngstown" documents capitalism's broken promises. His "The Ghost of Tom Joad" reminds our moral obligations. But mainly the episoode hopes to introduce and propel some some emerging voices of today, not only old ones from yesterday. We hear Jesse Wells' and Carsey Blanton's unflinching and yet also moving and eloquent lyrics that directly confront power. "Rich people been fucking us all." Back not too long, we  re-surface Iris DeMent's "Wasteland of the Free" and Bob Dylan's "Gates of Eden" and "Dignity." The point of it all is to celebrate how artists have long conveyed a  vocabulary of resistance that we desperately need today.I hope the songs whose lyrics I offer reveal that cultural resistance isn't separate from political action—it's an essential aid. It helps us imagine and create more just futures. Even more, it can help establish a mood, a disposition, aspirations, and confidence in the face of deadly hate. In the coming months of defense and then in coming years of positive gain, we will need to disobey authoritarianism, eliminate ecological nightmare, and reduce staggering inequality. We will need to entrench in their place self managed participation, productive and ecological sanity, and real soli;darity and equity. I hope the lyrics in this episode and others that you go on to find, to sing, and to hear, music and all, can help provide the rebellious soundtrack for our necessary actions. When I was a child we had that. The culture around us propelled us. We didn't win all we needed to, but some. Now new generations have to prevent the elimination of all that and, more, have to expand the victory vastly further. I hope artists and their audiences do their part to help propel all that. It ought to come naturally.Support the show

For decades, drivers on a dark San Jose road have reported terrifying encounters with pale figures who emerge from the shadows, armed and screaming, chasing away anyone who dares venture too close to their hidden territory.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: If I say the words “headless horseman” it immediately brings up the image of a man on a black steed carrying a pumpkin instead of his head, chasing after Ichabod Crane. Washington Irving did a fantastic job of painting that picture for us. It's too bad headless horsemen legends are just that… legends. Well, that is, until they are not. (The Headless Horseman of Neuces) *** In 1970, two teenage girls were murdered at Denver's Lumber Baron Inn. Today their killer is still unknown — but some guests say the victims' ghosts still roam the halls. (Murder at the London Baron Inn) *** A man is well-liked and respected in his community… but then he acquires a love for alcohol… his personality changes… his family disappears… and suddenly, his community see him for what he truly is – a Wendigo. (A Wendigo Named Swift Runner) *** Unexplained murder cases are, sadly, a reality. But in most cases you at least know who the victim is, or who the murderer is. In the case of “Princess Doe” however, there is no identity for the victim, the murderer, and there is no reason anyone has found for the brutal crime. (The Unexplained Princess Doe Case) *** With so many television shows, movies, documentaries, and genre artwork, you might think you know just about everything there is to know about the Wild West – but there are a few stories that are so strange, you might think they came right out of the mind of a fiction novelist. (The Wild Weird West) *** Situated alongside Almaden Quicksilver County Park, Hicks Road has become legendary in San Jose, California for all the wrong reasons. If you even mention it in driving directions, you'll get a “No way, Jose!” response and a request for a different route. Hearing the stories about what makes Hicks Road so creepy might turn you as ghostly white as the supposedly Satan-worshipping albinos rumored to inhabit the area. It's the legend of Hicks Road. What starts as a routine morning commute turns into a full-blown Twilight Zone moment when a black SUV vanishes off a Pennsylvania highway—and that's only the first ghost in this story. Fast forward to a rural farmhouse with a nosy neighbor who might be alive… or might not be, and a psychic friend who casually drops that three spirits moved in before the moving boxes were unpacked. One whispers, “You're going to die,” another complains about coat closet space, and one might be a long-dead aunt who already popped by the previous apartment. Tom Lennon tells us he's not working that hard on the unbelievably large number of projects he never stops working on. From writing movies (including a “HALL OF PRESIDENTS” SciFi comedy) to acting in 100s of shows to playing in a Smiths tribute band Thomas Lennon doesn't stop. And don't try to stop him. Bio:  Thomas Lennon is an actor, producer and New York Times Best Selling author from Oak Park, Illinois. He attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he was a member of the influential sketch comedy group The State. Lennon has also written numerous feature films, including Night at the Museum, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Reno 911!: Miami, The Pacifier, Balls of Fury and Hell Baby. In addition to writing films, Lennon co-authored, Writing Movies for Fun and Profit, a book about the studio system that Anna Kendrick called, “The Best Book about Hollywood… Hilarious and insanely accurate,” in the New York Times. In 2019, Lennon debuted on the New York's Bestseller List with his children's book Ronan Boyle and the Bridge of Riddles. In March of 2020, Lennon released the sequel with Ronan Boyle and the Swamp of Certain Death followed by the third installment of the series, Ronan Boyle: Into the Strange Place in 2022. In 1979, Scottish forestry worker Robert Taylor encountered a strange metallic craft in Dechmont Woods that physically attacked him — leaving behind torn clothing, mysterious ground markings, and enough evidence to convince police to open the only criminal investigation in UFO history.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: Hundreds of years after his death, the tomb of William Longespee was opened and what was found horrified the man who opened it… the skeleton of a black rat was found in the skull of Longespee – but that wasn't the end of the story! (The Rat In Longespee's Skull) *** Most people are superstitious to at least a tiny degree – avoiding walking under ladders, not opening umbrellas indoors, or having a tingle down the spine every Friday the 13th. Perhaps you have a favorite or “lucky” shirt to wear on special occasions – or a lucky pair of socks. Maybe you have to dress from left to right instead of the other way around. Superstitions may seem silly, but we seem to live with them everywhere – but your superstitions don't hold a candle to the ones believed by those in the theater. Thespians on and off the stage have some pretty bizarre concepts about what is lucky and unlucky. (Strange Superstitions of the Stage) *** Viking sagas describe the ritual execution of blood eagle, in which victims were kept alive while their backs were sliced open so that their ribs, lungs, and intestines could be pulled out into the shape of bloody wings. The torture method was so grisly that some historians believe it never truly happened. We can only hope historians are correct, because the thought of someone going through it alive is unbelievably terrifying. (The Blood Eagle Viking Torture) *** Physicist Enrico Fermi famously asked the question "Where are they?" to express his surprise over the absence of any signs for the existence of other intelligent civilizations in the Milky Way Galaxy. Although many potential resolutions to this so-called “Fermi paradox” have been suggested over the years, there is still no consensus on which one, if any, is correct.  We'll look at some of the theories as to where E.T. might be found. (Where Might E.T. Be Hiding?) *** Only once in the history of law enforcement and ufology has there been a case where a UFO incident turned into an actual criminal investigation. We'll look at the Dechmont Woods Encounter. When a schoolteacher's borrowed BBC computer began displaying mysterious messages from a 16th-century scholar and beings from the year 2109, it sparked one of England's most bewildering paranormal cases.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: In Victorian London, a grisly murder case involving Maria and Frederick Manning shocked society and caught the attention of Charles Dickens himself. What began as a love triangle turned into a chilling tale of greed, betrayal, and murder, culminating in a public execution that would challenge the very nature of capital punishment in Great Britain. (The Murderous Mannings) *** In 1720, amidst a perilous pirate attack on the Atlantic, a newborn's cry changed the course of destiny. Ocean-Born Mary, christened by buccaneers and gifted with a bolt of green silk, would grow from a maritime legend into a symbol of courage and resilience in colonial New England, her extraordinary birth weaving a tapestry of fact and fiction that continues to captivate imaginations centuries later. (A Pirate's Godchild, Ocean-Born Mary) *** On the morning of June 20, 2001, Andrea Yates shocked the nation by drowning her five children, one by one, in the family bathtub. Years of untreated mental illness, compounded by religious fanaticism and postpartum psychosis, culminated in this unimaginable tragedy. Was it the work of a tortured mind, or something darker at play? (Did The Devil Make Her Do It?) *** Deep in the ancient folds of the Appalachian Mountains, where time seems to slow and shadows linger, legends have taken root for millennia. These peaks have become a breeding ground for supernatural tales that blend seamlessly with the landscape. The sheer age and untamed nature of Appalachia have given birth to a rich tapestry of myths, from the Mothman, to ghosts, to the Devil himself. (Modern Mythology and Ancient Appalachia) *** In the heart of Preston, Ladywell Street is infamous for a chilling spectral presence capable of shifting forms—from eerie footsteps to a blood-soaked apparition known as the Bannister Doll. Once a beautiful young woman, Dolly Bannister met a tragic death at the hands of her father, a punishment for a crime she didn't commit. Now, her restless spirit seeks retribution, haunting the streets and striking fear into anyone who dares to cross her path. (The Haunting of Ladywell Street) *** In 1984, a sleepy English village became the unlikely stage for a mind-bending mystery when a schoolteacher's computer began receiving messages from a man claiming to be from 1546. As past and present collided through a BBC Micro, Ken Webster and his friends found themselves entangled in a web of Tudor English, future prophecies, and inexplicable phenomena that would challenge everything they thought they knew about time and technology. In 1971, two boys found a pair of carved stone heads in their garden that unleashed a werewolf-like creature, baffled archaeologists, and vanished without a trace — leaving behind only terror and unanswered questions.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: Deep within the ancient limestone caves of Wookey Hole, a legendary witch once cast her dark curse over the nearby village, dooming all love to fail. Is the petrified figure in the Witch's Kitchen truly the stone remains of the cursed sorceress, or does her spirit linger, waiting for someone to break the spell? Across centuries and continents, documented cases reveal supernatural forces that escalated beyond typical paranormal activity — resulting in physical harm, unexplained deaths, and encounters that defy conventional explanations.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateIN THIS EPISODE: Many ghost stories are frightening but leave the person encountering them shaken, but no more worse for wear. Perhaps a light touch on the shoulder, the moving of an object, a whisper in the ear, or a cold chill for the more intense cases. But then there are those hauntings that leave the person hysterical… or physically hurt… or even dead. We'll look at some of the most violent ghosts and hauntings of all time. But people had doubts as to whether what he was being asked to do could be accomplished. The naysayers were ignored – and tragedy arrived, (The Truesdell Bridge Disaster) *** The witch trials in Salem, Massachusetts were horrid… the trials in Europe even more so. Now, imagine being a soldier tried as a witch because you returned with supernatural knowledge imparted to you after you were abducted by extraterrestrials. It sounds like the makings of a terrible novel and an even worse movie… but it's the true story of Major Thomas Weir. (The True Story of the Alien Abduction Witch Trial) *** He's believed to have killed over 50 women inside his soundproof torture trailer – which he called his “toy box.” We'll look at the case of serial killer David Parker Ray. (Evils of the Toybox Killer) *** Our criminal justice system tries to be the most fair in the world – considering the accused “innocent until proven guilty.” And while our system is not perfect, for the most part it does its job well. But because it is not perfect, once in a while a murderer walks… or even worse, an innocent defendant goes to prison. And in some cases, that innocent person is convicted and imprisoned based on one thing – they confessed to the crime that they didn't commit. Why would someone do that? (Why Do Innocent People Confess?) *** Port St. Lucie, Florida is full of disturbing urban legends – some true, many false – as urban legends go. But somehow, most all of these terrifying stories tie back to a single oak tree in a neighborhood park, and Florida's first serial killer. I apologize for getting this week's “Thriller Thursday” posted on Friday! I thought I had plenty of time to narrate and produce this, but the more I got into it, the more elaborate it became and the time just got away from me. Hopefully it'll be worth your wait! – DarrenLeroy Johnston thought the worst part of his cruise would be the uncomfortable tuxedo on formal night — until a crimson storm hurled their ship into waters where the rules of reality no longer apply.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateComing up in this episode… it's #ThrillerThursday, with a tale by one of my favorite Creepypasta authors, Mark Lynch. It's entitled, “I am stranded on a desert island far from home. Please send help.” In the story, when Leroy Johnston embarks on what should be a routine ocean cruise, he's simply looking forward to a relaxing vacation and reconnecting with an old friend. But after a devastating storm strikes their ship, the passengers and crew find themselves completely cut off from the outside world, drifting in waters that seem to follow none of the familiar rules. As their situation grows increasingly desperate and the veneer of civilization begins to crack, Leroy must confront terrors beyond imagination while fighting to protect the woman he's just met and come to love. We're about to sail into some high seas horrors! ABOUT WEIRD DARKNESS: Weird Darkness is a true crime and paranormal podcast narrated by professional award-winning voice actor, Darren Marlar. (The Bolton Strid) *** Something has turned the world's bees into merciless predators that single out law enforcement, swarming officers until they collapse bleeding and swollen — and the attacks are spreading faster than authorities can contain them. (When Bees Become Weapons) *** Beneath the mirror-like surfaces of many seemingly peaceful American lakes lurk the vengeful spirits of the drowned, waiting to drag unsuspecting swimmers into their watery graves. (Cursed Waters) *** Deep beneath the Greek mountainside, electronics die without warning, water defies gravity, and those who venture too far into the darkness of Davelis Cave are never seen again. (Davelis Cave) *** Something sinister lurks in the empty sky above, dropping frozen corpses, inexplicable ice daggers, and paralyzed creatures onto an unsuspecting world below — and the frequency is increasing. Parental discretion is strongly advised.IN THIS EPISODE: It was 1973, and the small town of Murphysboro, Illinois had quite a scare with numerous people encountering what many described as a large gorilla-like creature. We might call it Bigfoot or Sasquatch – they called it a “Big Muddy Monster”. (A Big Muddy Monster) *** In November, 1978, four employees at a hamburger restaurant are kidnapped and murdered. Almost forty-five years later, seven employees at a fried chicken establishment are found slain – their bodies found in the restaurant's walk-in freezer. One case found justice… the other is still waiting. (The Burger Chef and Brown's Chicken Murders) *** In Germanic and Scandinavian folklore, a child murdered by their mother is known as a Kindermorderinn – and if that child is a boy and decides to appear from beyond the dead, he's considered a “Radiant Boy”. And there are numerous stories of their hauntings. (Radiant Boy) *** Grace Stevens was excited to attend her company's annual picnic with friends and co-workers, dressing for the occasion, hoping to possibly meet her future Prince Charming. Her company was splurging and inviting everyone to take a ship from Chicago across Lake Michigan to attend the party in Michigan City. They never arrived. (Grace Stevens And The Tragedy Of The U.S.S. Eastland) *** In 1947 a woman jumped to her death from 86th floor of the Empire State Building… yet today, her ghost still needs to use the building's bathroom facilities. (The Haunted Empire State Building Bathroom) *** But first,, the governor called it “mass murder” in 1942 when forty-seven patients died at the Oregon State Hospital – all within hours. All of them, poisoned. Finding the murderer and motive would lead to an unexpected conclusion, and to an unrelenting haunting. We begin with that story.
