“Are you comparing King Diamond to KISS!?”   KING DIAMOND is the undisputed champion of all things dark & creepy that scarify & terrify throughout the metal multiverse. In our humble opinion, The King should be deemed the official ambassador of Halloween. Through the use of the creative forces granted unto him by his Scandinavian homeland (and perhaps with a little supernatural assistance for added evilocity), The KING has been unleashing terrifying tales of gothic horror backed by a progressive power metal soundtrack that have been scaring the Hell out of audiences for nearly four decades (even longer if you count his time in Mercyful Fate). There can be no doubt that he is THE premier horror metal storyteller of all time, “The KING” if you will.   When in doubt, always remember The King Diamond Paradox: “King Diamond IS Mercyful Fate AND Mercyful Fate IS King Diamond!!!”   Get ready for a bit of trivia regarding the music video for “The Family Ghost” and find out which former heavy metal haunt in Atlanta was legitimately (actually) haunted. Understand that it's always better to go with “a super smart 6 than an ultra dumb 9” because without adequate brainpower, there's “no bone movies” (especially if she insists on “using her teeth every time”). Discover “the worst part about being married”, pay tribute to the “chili dog queen” and JOIN US for a trip through the gruesome tales of twisted horror from the mind of Hvidovre, Denmark's metal master of the macabre, KING DIAMOND. The biggest names in Hollywood and Broadway recorded for AFRS during the war years, The American Forces Network can trace its origins back to May 26, 1942, when the War Department established the Armed Forces Radio Service (AFRS). The U.S. Army began broadcasting from London during World War II, using equipment and studio facilities borrowed from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The first transmission to U.S. troops began at 5:45 p.m. on July 4, 1943, and included less than five hours of recorded shows, a BBC news and sports broadcast. That day, Corporal Syl Binkin became the first U.S. Military broadcasters heard over the air. The signal was sent from London via telephone lines to five regional transmitters to reach U.S. troops in the United Kingdom as they prepared for the inevitable invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. Fearing competition for civilian audiences the BBC initially tried to impose restrictions on AFN broadcasts within Britain (transmissions were only allowed from American Bases outside London and were limited to 50 watts of transmission power) and a minimum quota of British produced programming had to be carried. Nevertheless AFN programmes were widely enjoyed by the British civilian listeners who could receive them and once AFN operations transferred to continental Europe (shortly after D-Day) AFN were able to broadcast with little restriction with programmes available to civilian audiences across most of Europe (including Britain) after dark. As D-Day approached, the network joined with the BBC and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to develop programs especially for the Allied Expeditionary Forces. Mobile stations, complete with personnel, broadcasting equipment, and a record library were deployed to broadcast music and news to troops in the field. The mobile stations reported on front line activities and fed the news reports back to studio locations in London.---------------------------------------------------------------------------Entertainment Radio Stations Live 24/7 Sherlock Holmes/CBS Radio Mystery Theaterhttps://live365.com/station/Sherlock-Holmes-Classic-Radio--a91441https://live365.com/station/CBS-Radio-Mystery-Theater-a57491----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Dark Tower series follows Roland, the last of a long line of gunslingers, his world's version of a knight. His quest is to reach The Tower as his world, Mid-World, falls into decay around him. Stephen King over the course of seven novels combined the genres of Western, Fantasy, Science-Fiction, and Noir. In 2017, someone thought it would be a great idea to boil it all down in a 90-minute film. You will hear many trigger warnings during our telling of this story and we definitely recommend reading with a friend! Although this can be a rough listen at times, this is an amazing survival/warrior tale of a woman escaping her abusive husband and pulling herself back up onto her feet again. Join us as follow Rosie, arguably one of the best written female protagonist from Mr. King, in her journey of “awakening”. Be warned, there will be SPOILERS & TRIGGERS ahead in this episode. If you would like a spoiler free experience, check out Stephen King’s novel Rose Madder! Don't forget to come back and join our weird book club once you've finished the story! As far as trigger warnings go, there will be mentions of domestic abuse, miscarriages, and graphic descriptions of violence. Since this is a summary of the book, we don’t go heavy into these descriptions, but if you read the book be warned that these descriptions are much more graphic.
