Kicking off May of 2026 with a perfectly timed episode releasing on May 4th, Emily aka Imagination.Em on Instagram returns to talk Star Wars and Cosplay. May the 4th Be With You! It's been nearly 4 years since Emily was on with her original episode, but we get to catch up and blend two topics together. Star Wars and Cosplay. The first half of the episode definitely leans more Star Wars, as we talk about the shows that have released since 2022. We discuss Skeleton Crew, The Acolyte, and Andor. Emily talks about the experience of attending the Andor Season 2 premiere, and we discuss Andor as it ties into current political situations today. We talk about the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu movie, and Emily makes her best pitch for what she'd do if Dave Filoni asked her to create a Star Wars property. Then, we're on to Cosplay, as you may know Emily for her viral Moana Fett cosplay from 4 years ago. We talk about how it's been as a Cosplayer, from upgrading her Moana Fett look, to doing Mo Dameron, Mara Jade, joining the Droidsmiths Union, and making a Grogulorian cosplay, to name a few. We talk about her relationship with other cosplayers in the fandom, as well as creators that she works with. Emily also reflects back on her time as a Cosplayer, and we talk about what she could be working on for the future. You can find Emily at: https://www.instagram.com/imagination.em/ You can listen to Emily's original episode here: https://talesfromthefandom.libsyn.com/episode-289-emily-aka-imaginationem-talks-marvel-comics-disney-star-wars-and-cosplay

New set is almost there, so it is time for my eccentric, deck-centric set review with the ever changing but ever wise Skeleton Crew. This time we have Zach Kagan and Tresio and we dive into out hopes and aspirations for the Secrets of Strixhaven set. And what a banger it promises to be. Despite being a 5 guilds set, where only 5 color pairs are supported for draft, the design team tried to seed in fast and slow versions of each of the 5 archetype and we try to figure out how that could work for each of them. We look at cards, but in context of decks and plans rather than evaluating each card in vacuum. Great material to prime yourself for the upcoming set, and I can proudly say - I think it is one of the best Skeleton Crew episodes we did so far. Ping me for coaching. On today's episode, we discuss whether CERN's Large Hadron Collider is just about particle physics or if, as some theorists suggest, it could be dabbling with “God particles,” portals to other dimensions, and spiritual forces we don't fully understand. Charlotte walks through claims that CERN sits on an ancient temple site to Apollo and prominently displays a statue of Shiva, using that symbolism to question the project's deeper motives. James frames the collider as a modern Tower of Babel—scientists probing endlessly downward into creation rather than looking up to God—and wonders aloud if humanity is “playing with fire” by smashing particles at such energies. The crew mix in pop‑culture parallels like The Man in the High Castle's Nazi‑victory dimension and portal tech, using them as metaphors for fears about opening two‑way doors between realms of demons, aliens, or unknown entities. In the back half, the conversation shifts toward how certain families and thinkers, including Trump in their view, seem wired to “see 20 steps ahead,” turning things like the Straits of Hormuz crisis and NATO burden‑sharing into tests that expose who really has skin in the game. Throughout, Charlotte, James, and Ben blend affectionate memories of mentors, playful marital conspiracies, and serious “follow the money or demons” skepticism into a fast‑moving chat about power, physics, and the unseen motives behind global events. Don't miss it!

In this episode of SuperHero Homies!, we rank every live-action Star Wars movie and TV series released under Disney from worst to best. That means all 13 projects — including The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, The Rise of Skywalker, Rogue One, Solo, The Mandalorian, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew — enter the arena. Yes, even Skeleton Crew gets its day in court. Is Andor still the prestige king of Disney Star Wars? Did The Mandalorian redefine the franchise? Has time been kind to the Sequel Trilogy? Where does Ahsoka land? And does Skeleton Crew surprise us or drift into hyperspace obscurity? We debate, we defend, and we reshuffle the galaxy one ranking at a time. Before we jump to hyperspace, our cold open dives into the latest rumors surrounding Spider-Man: Brand New Day, including possible appearances from Tombstone, Jean Grey, and Man-Spider. We also theorize about the X-Men's potential role in Avengers: Doomsday and what incursions could mean for the MCU moving forward. If you love Star Wars rankings, MCU theories, Marvel and DC discussions, comic book commentary, superhero movie reviews, and pop culture debates, this episode is built for you. Whether you're loyal to the light side, flirting with the dark side, or just here for the chaos, we've got you covered. Our eccentric, deck-centric set review is back. My class guests go through the skeletons of the 5 supported color pairs in Lorwyn Eclipsed, building functional decks using mainly commons and uncommons to keep it realistic. But there is more. Since there are only 5 main builds we let them loose to brew and got such bangers as Reanimator or Burn in the process. This time we have: Sam Pratt (bsky.app/profile/sampratt.bsky.social) of the Rough Drafts podcast, Adam DDVAP (https://x.com/adam_ddavp) Limited Grinder, Lorcana champion and an owner of a cyberpony,Zachy K (bsky.app/profile/zakagan.bsky.social) One of the Minnesota's finest Magic players and comedians. The 2025 season of Star Wars has come to an end and we hope everyone had a great year and happy holidays with family and friends! To start this new year of 2026, Catrina Dennis from The Geeky Waffle and the CEO of Ventress, joins us as we take a fond look back at the Star Wars chapters that closed in the colloquial "Phase 2" and all the personal stories that were created, from ANDOR season 2, Skeleton Crew, Visions Vol. 3, to anniversaries celebrated for Revenge Of The Sith and The Force Awakens, and publishing stories like The High Republic and Legacy Of Vader. It's always a great time to look back and see all the amazing Star Wars we enjoyed! But, as some things end other begins, and with a potential change in leadership at Lucasfilm, this upcoming "Phase 3" promises many more stories to enjoy. However... will some of these stories seem a little too "safe" compared to what we've seen before? We discuss what's coming in 2026 and beyond, from The Mandalorian And Grogu, to Starfighter, to the highly anticipated MAUL: Shadow Lord!2026 looks promising, and as we start this year with enthusiasm and hope for the future, we 're appreciative you continue to join our journey!• • •TRIAD Of The FORCE is a STAR WARS+ podcast hosted by Gus, Nani, & Chase—Puerto Rican and queer creators sharing deep dives, and heartfelt conversations from a galaxy far, far away. This week on Derry Public Radio, join CM, Josh, and Eve as they grapple with the unsettling short story "Cain Rose Up" from Stephen King's “Skeleton Crew”. Set against the backdrop of a college dormitory, the hosts dissect the chilling moments leading up to a tragic act of violence, exploring themes of emptiness, societal pressure, and the randomness of horror. With a mix of humor and critical analysis, they delve into the character of Curt Garrish, his internal struggles, and the stark contrast between his violent thoughts and the mundane college life surrounding him. Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast
It's our annual year-end wrap-up spectacular!! We take a look back at 2025 - this year's conversation is packed with personal fandom highlights, expectations that were met (and wildly exceeded), and a few things that didn't quite live up to the hype. As always, the real joy of these episodes is revisiting the moments that made the year special—and it was even better doing it with friends. We were thrilled to welcome Bobby Robertson from Rebel Scum Con and Jenn Diz from the Disneyholics Podcast to share their own 2025 standouts and pop-culture takeaways. From conventions to theme parks, 2025 was a huge year for fandom experiences. We all attended a BRAND NEW theme park - Epic Universe! Also, Rebel Scum Con stood out for its sense of community and the unmatched joy of staying right at the host hotel. We also dove into Universal's FanFest Nights, where the Back to the Future immersive experience completely stole the show, even for devoted Star Trek fans. On the screen, we debated what was overrated and underrated like Skeleton Crew, Fallout and Thunderbolts*. As we wrapped up the year, we reflected on what 2025 meant on a personal level: the shows we binged, the films that moved us, and the lessons we'd pass along to our younger selves. What lesson would you tell your 16-year-old self? Looking ahead to 2026, we're setting our sights on hosting even more convention panels, expanding our trivia game shows, and finally unveiling a very exciting, top-secret Star Wars project coming this fall. We can't wait to see where the next year takes us. SPONSORS Small World Vacations is an official sponsor of Skywalking Through Neverland. As 2025 draws to a close, the Star Wars landscape looks radically different than it did a year ago. The Acolyte's cancellation sent shockwaves through the fandom, Skeleton Crew emerged as an unexpected gem, and Andor Season 2 proved why some stories are worth the wait. Matthew, Erin, and Alex reunite to reflect on a tumultuous year that saw creative risks, behind-the-scenes drama, and a franchise at a crossroads.Questions We ExploredHow did Skeleton Crew defy expectations to become one of the year's standout shows? From Jod Na Nawood's complex villainy to the show's Amblin-inspired heart, we discuss what made this series work when skepticism ran high.Did Andor Season 2 deliver on its promise as prestige Star Wars television? We break down why this season elevated political drama in the franchise and why the three-episode arcs proved so effective. What does the Mandoverse's future look like after The Mandalorian and Grogu film announcement? We explore Dave Filoni's expanding role and whether interconnected storytelling helps or hinders individual shows. How has Star Wars animation evolved with Tales of the Empire and The Bad Batch's conclusion? We discuss Morgan Elsbeth's origin story, Barriss Offee's redemption, and whether animated content is carrying the franchise's creative torch. What role did fandom toxicity play in shaping this year's Star Wars conversation? From review bombing to the Acolyte controversy, we examine how online discourse impacts creative decisions and cast members.Where should Star Wars go next to recapture its creative momentum? We offer our perspectives on what stories the franchise should tell, which risks are worth taking, and how to balance nostalgia with innovation.**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, a The Ethical Panda Podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network.
