You may recognize Seth Bullock if you've seen HBO's Deadwood. Seth, like most of the characters on the show, was a real-life person. But he was so much more than JUST the sheriff of Deadwood. He was a business man. Helped create Yellowstone National Park. Was a member of Montana's territorial senate at an extremely young age. BFF's with Teddy Roosevelt. Rancher, City Founder, and at damn near 80 years of age volunteered to serve in World War 1. Join me as we delve deep into Seth Bullock on this holy shit, I now feel like a lazy unmotivated piece of shit episode of Bloody Beaver Podcast.

HBO's DEADWOOD was a Good+ show taken before its time. One Brian and Chris both love and have never really had the chance to talk about. But good news: 2019 saw the release of the long rumoured Deadwood movie! And it's FANTASTIC. (Brian cried.) We talk about wrapping up loose ends 13 years later and poignant grace notes for Al, Bullock and Trixie, plus the dialogue that's never been better. Fan of Deadwood? Did you love the movie? Or maybe hate it? Let us know on Twitter @TTYLshow!

Ian McShane is known for playing larger than life characters on series such as Starz's "American Gods" and HBO's "Deadwood," which is set to return in May as a two-hour movie. When asked to pick a favorite TV episode, however, McShane chooses the Season 2 episode "Barbershop" from FX's "Atlanta," and praises series creator Donald Glover for taking him to a world he's less familiar with. McShane also loves HBO's "High Maintenance," and shares how the "Deadwood" movie is a "love letter" to the series.

WARNING: The final segment of the episode contains some strong language. It's a mash-up of stories and interviews from Deadwood about Seth Bullock, Sol Star, "Poker" Alice Tubbs, W.E. Adams vs. Al Swearengen and an odd gunfight. Plus, stories from the set of HBO's "Deadwood."

For those of us who've watched and enjoyed HBO's Deadwood, the town and its characters are absolutely larger than life. But was the show historically accurate? What is fact and what is fiction? My guest, Barbara Fifer, author of Deadwood Saints and Sinners, helps set the record straight. Her writing partner and co-author, the late Jerry Bryant, was a consultant on the Deadwood TV show, and has passed to her a treasure trove of historical research on both the town, and its biggest villain, Al Swearengen. She chats with me about both on this week's episode.  Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome once again, D Lovers, to the wild and untamed frontier of 1960s and 1970s Disney Live Action film making. You may recognize the bizarre aimlessness of the stories Disney told in this era from past episodes, but none that featured a cast quite as stacked as this one. We've got Dr. Bruce Banner before Disney bought Marvel. We've got MASH's Harry Morgan, noted character actor Slim Pickens, and Sarnia's own Susan Clark. Most of all, THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG features the first appearance of comedy duo Don Knotts and Tim Conway...a pair that was apparently a thing for awhile? Vicky, Nolan and Jill aren't totally dismayed by Disney's attempt at a western here, but mostly because it gave us an excuse to talk about HBO's Deadwood. So grab yourselves some apple dumplings of your own, and try to keep them down as Vicky describes Don Knotts' fish lips, and enjoy another episode of We Want The D!
