I'm running out of fun ways to say "Here's a new episode of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour: Live!" so just have at it; first up in this episode is the rather jolly brilliant Bevis Musson! We talk about how Dead Queen Detectives was actually intended to be a terrible pitch but turned out to be a great idea, parenting (and why I'm not cut out for it), Star Wars, Tomb Raider, and more! After that, fellow Improper Books lovelies and top notch folk, Christian & Laura Wildgoose appear, all banana-ed up and ready for action! As well as discussing the idea behind Improper Books and some of Christian and Laura's work there, we also share our mutual fear of driving, and Laura offers tips on how to survive in New York when it's so darn overwhelming... Enjoy! Episode Theme - 'Scarface (Push It To The Limit)' by Paul Engemann End Theme - 'The Glow' by Willie Hutch JustGiving Donation Page: www.justgiving.com/spcplive3 Timings: 00:03:52: Bevis Musson, 00:58:02: Laura & Christian Disclaimer: The SPCP Live 3 episodes will be mostly unedited. This means they will be put out as close to their live versions as possible, including (but not limited to); audio delays and the resultant accidentally-talking-over-each-other, bodily function noises (aka the World's Loudest Sneezes), slightly-too-long sections in which we try to deal with the mountain of technical problems on the day... I believe they are still very enjoyable though, and I hope you have as much fun listening in as Barry & I did when broadcasting!

Helllllllloooooooooooooooooooo! That's right, it's time for some more live charity madness in Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! Joining Jenni and Stacey for the after dinner segment are the guys and gals of Improper Books; Laura, Matt and Christian. Hear them talk very little about Improper Books and what they do, and more about day of the week underoos, colouring in, kids eating random crap, how ET is genuinely scary, cinema etiquette, and loads more besides. This episode contains the brilliant phrase "Matt, what pants do you own?" so you can tell the calibre of conversation being had...Following those fun fellows and females comes Andi Ewington; returning guest and comic writing guy extraoordinaire! It starts to become very obvious around this time that the stereotype of Brits not being good at self promotion really hits home, as Andi and the girls discuss the Lego Movie, Atmos vs IMAX, video game movies, IT Crowd, the sausage and bacon sandwich sauce dilemma, and a little bit about comics.Enjoy, and don't forget, the page is still open for donations! www.justgiving.com/SPCPLive

Welcome to Episode 38 of Small Press Big Mouth, this is the Lee Free episode so I have to apologise for the lack of farting/fart jokes. This is two interviews recorded by Stace at Bristol Expo 2012, with two brand new indie publishers - Disconnected Press and Improper Books. I hope you enjoy it and next episode will be back to normality or as close as we can manage!
