Sarah and Jacob Hoggle disappeared in early September 2014 from Montgomery County, Maryland. They were last seen in the care of their mother, Catherine Hoggle, who gave conflicting accounts of their whereabouts before ultimately refusing to disclose where they were. She was later arrested. Catherine, who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, was deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial and has remained in a psychiatric facility ever since. The children's fate remains unknown to this day. Their father, Troy Turner, continues to seek justice and answers. Their case remains one of Maryland's most heartbreaking and high-profile missing children cases. Catherine Hoggle var gift þriggja barna móðir sem hafði lengi vel verið að stríða við andlega heilsu, en ástandið var orðið svo slæmt að hún gat ekki lengur verið ein í kringum börnin sín. Hún var því undir stöðugu eftirliti og hjálpuðust vinir og vandamenn að við að passa að hún væri aldrei ein með þeim. Að lokum þurfti svo að gefa henni traust enda var þetta ekki framtíðarplan, og þegar það kom loksins að því að leyfa henni að vera einni með Jacob þá hvarf hann. Daginn eftir hvarf svo Sarah, og enginn veit hvað varð um börnin. Intrigued Full Effect: Curious Cases, Disappearances and Other Stuff
In episode #45 of "Intrigued Full Effect" I do my 3rd update on the disappearance of Sarah and Jacob Hoggle. There are new developments in the murder case involving the kids mother Catherine Hoggle. I spoke to the father Troy Turner, his private investigator Jared Stern and Catherine's attorney David Felsen about the case. I also have new photos of search sites and court documents as well in the YouTube video version of the podcast. This is always a tough one to do especially when I see the pictures of the beautiful kids with their bright smiles. I think about who they could've become in this life, lives that some say were taken by their own mother.
