Joe Rizzo brings you baseball. Riz and Jeff "Dawg" Healy did the show on Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/groups/DiamondDiehards). They recapped their selections from the epic first round of the playoffs that was just completed, and remembered late Cardinals legend Bob Gibson. Riz & Dawg reviewed each of the eight series from the first round, then they dove into the forthcoming ALDS and NLDS. They re-racked their picks for this round and gave the "why" for each along the way. There also was a listener question of Gibson vs. Koufax if you could pick either for a 7th game that grabbed the guys' attention. They also threw out some speculation on where Trevor Bauer will end up next season. And they addressed the question of the potential legitimacy of a Marlins World Series title, should one be in the offing. The guys continue to do more shows live, and are looking to move forward to also get it on YouTube, Twitch and other outlets, so keep an eye out for that and give us feedback. We want to know what you prefer! The Veteran of the Day, delivered by Dawg, was late Yankees legend and Hall-of-Famer Yogi Berra. Yogi joined the Navy in 1943 at age 18 and served on a rocket-launching boat on D-Day, after which he spent nearly two weeks shooting down enemy planes. He later served in a second assault on France and received a medal from the French government. Some 60 years later, he received the Lone Sailor award from the U.S. Navy Memorial.
