In this episode of Unsecurity, Megan, Brad, Nathan, and Eric unpack the recent 60-day pause on CMMC Phase 2 requirements and what it really means for contractors and subcontractors. The conversation goes beyond the headline to explore the ongoing importance of self-attestation, the risks of false claims, and why compliance is still very much on the clock. The team also breaks down the real costs of becoming assessment-ready, from initial scoping and technical debt to policy work, evidence collection, and third-party assessments.Along the way, they explain why shortcuts and “easy button” solutions can create bigger problems later, and why due diligence matters when choosing a compliance partner. If your organization is weighing whether CMMC is worth the investment, this episode offers a grounded look at the business, security, and operational tradeoffs involved.Be sure to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell for more insightful episodes.#UnsecurityPodcast #Cybersecurity #FRSecure #MyTech #CMMC #DoWWe want to hear from you!Reach out at unsecurity@frsecure.com and follow us for more:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/frsecure/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/frsecureofficial/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/frsecure/BlueSky: https://bsky.app/profile/frsecure.bsky.socialAbout FRSecure:https://frsecure.com/FRSecure is a mission-driven information security consultancy headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. Welcome to the Denver Public Schools MyTech Podcast! In this fourth episode of the season, we're talking about chromebooks. These touchscreen laptops use Google's Chrome operating system, and they form the backbone of DPS' MyTech program, which provides computers to district students in all grades kindergarten through 12th. The MyTech program works with all DPS-managed schools to make sure all students have access to a computer in and out of the classroom, as well as opportunities to use them meaningfully. In this episode, we talk to staff and students at two Denver elementary schools, Asbury and Ellis. At both schools, second through fifth graders have been taking their computers home and bringing them back to school, every day, for years. Asbury and Ellis are leading the way for other DPS elementaries, as a significant change is coming to the district. Beginning fourth quarter, students in grades 2 or above at all DPS-run schools will be able to take their computers home to explore, finish school work, and extend their learning.
Weightlifting class might be the place where you'd least expect to find technology use, even in a MyTech school. But at South High School, students are leveraging their Chromebooks, Schoology and the power of video feedback to help themselves and their peers at George Washington High School get the most out of their workouts. Veteran Physical Education Teacher Shawn Feldman has been working with Digital Coach Alexa Schlechter on this ambitious collaboration project that crosses two schools.
