Today on the Modern Day Intuitive Podcast I have something a bit different for you today!  Instead of reading for a person, I do a reading of the energy around an intuition based project "Seventh Sense" by Priyanka Kumar, who is completing her MA in New Arts Journalism at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  This reading is really interesting and helps us explore the following topics.  What it can feel like in your body as you begin to connect more deeply with your intuition.  The importance of vulnerability and authenticity on your intuitive journey.  How there are no coincidences in life, that they are actually synchronicities that are  guiding us towards a deeper understanding of ourselves.  That we are not alone, or separate from each other but rather all connected at the soul level.  That we have a spirit family supporting us and by connecting to our intuition we can tap into their guidance.  Plus, I lead you through an exercise you can practice to open your heart and connect to your intuition.    Priyanka Kumar - Seventh Sense Publication  www.inyourseventhsense.com What is your Intuitive Superpower? Jill DeGroot (MA 2020, New Arts Journalism) wanted to be a marine — well, she wanted to play flute in the U.S. Marine Corps band. Early in her life, playing flute gave Jill sense of fulfillment, which gave rise to a passion and competitiveness for the instrument in and out of school band. For many years, Jill considered the flute her "calling," but while studying flute at DePaul University, disillusionment set in. The last few years have seen Jill shift from traditional classical music to the ultra-contemporary New Discipline, and also to journalism, which she uses to commemorate ephemeral concert experiences. Jill's story suggests that a "calling" has as much to do with what life wants from you as what you want from life. Featuring "Throw Me To You And Back Again" by Jesse Marino, performed by Riley Leitch and Jill DeGroot. Audio courtesy of the artists. Learn more about: SAIC F Newsmagazine C a c o p h o n y

In our 10th episode, we continue our season-long exploration of the question, “What makes great art,” speaking to essential voices of our time about their experiences of seeking it. What follows is an interview between Momus Publisher Sky Goodden and Dushko Petrovich. Born in Ecuador and based in Chicago, Dushko is the chair of the New Arts Journalism program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and works in several critical and creative capacities, including as publisher and artist. He is the co-founder of the beloved Paper Monument, among others, and by all indications, the heart of his publishing activity is activist. In a searching conversation, Petrovich and Goodden land on their mutual desire and responsibility to foster a space for criticism and change. What makes great art? Petrovich argues that the metrics by which we know it are being actively altered. Momus: The Podcast is edited by Jacob Irish, features original music by Kyle McCrea, and assistant production from Mitra Shreeram. We would like to thank the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for their support. And, of course, our many thanks to Dushko Petrovich for his considered contribution to this episode.
