Three Los Angeles based theatre makers dissect, debate and disseminate the works of the great Playwrights. Each week we will focus on a different playwright and discuss their works as well as their cultural impact and their context in our own personal lives. Also we'll spotlight the beautifully burgeoning LA Theatre Scene as it grows into the new home for experimental theatre makers. Always interesting and never too serious these three friends may just convince you to like reading plays again. The Theatre Theater podcast is an absolute gem for musical theatre and choir enthusiasts like myself. As a self-proclaimed theatre nerd, I am constantly on the lookout for content that caters to my interests, and this show checks all the boxes. The hosts delve into a wide range of topics and interview a variety of playwrights, providing a refreshing diversity that keeps me engaged and excited for each new episode. What I particularly love about this podcast are the musical/movie episodes. These episodes allow me to geek out and indulge in my passion for theatre whenever I have some free time - whether it's during a long ride or just hanging around the house.
The passion and knowledge displayed by the hosts is truly commendable. They clearly have a deep love for this subject matter, which translates into their discussions. As a listener, I am constantly learning something new and gaining insights into various aspects of the theatre world. The hosts' enthusiasm is infectious, making each episode thoroughly enjoyable. Additionally, their off-beat and dynamic opinions bring a fresh perspective to the table, challenging my own thoughts on certain artists or productions.
While there isn't much to fault with The Theatre Theater podcast, one potential downside could be its selectivity when it comes to featuring guests. As an avid fan who gives this show a well-deserved 5-star rating, I do have one condition - they better invite me as a guest! In jest, I threaten to drop my rating down to 1 star if they fail to extend an invitation. However, putting jokes aside, this minor flaw does not detract from the overall quality of the podcast.
In conclusion, The Theatre Theater podcast is perfect for any theater nerd - or should I say "theatre" nerd? Regardless of your preference in spelling, give this show a listen; you won't be disappointed! I love these theater nerds so much that I'm tempted to put on a play about how much I adore them and force all my friends to watch it. With their warm and engaging personalities, the hosts create a welcoming environment that invites listeners to join in on rich conversations about their shared passion. They remind us that theater is not only a form of entertainment but also a tapestry of human experience and, oftentimes, magic. As someone who has been eagerly awaiting the release of this podcast, I am thrilled to finally have thoughtful theatre content poured into my ears.

He transitioned to writing for film and television while attending the AFI Conservatory, earning an MFA in Screenwriting. Edward is an alum of the NBC Writers on the Verge and National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) writing programs.
