Maarten de Groot is geboren en getogen in Zeeland. Maar hij is als DJ en organisator vaak in Mill te vinden. Daarom vroeg Corné Kremers hem om eens aan te schuiven in De Neije Krant Podcast om meer te vertellen over hetgeen hij zoal doet. Het werd een mooi gesprek waarin Maarten volop vertelt over de start als DJ. Hij werkte als glazenspoeler in een horecazaak in Zeeland en toen de DJ het af liet weten door ziekte werd Maarten gevraagd die avond plaatjes te draaien. Dat vond hij eigenlijk maar niets, maar na een avondje muziek draaien kreeg hij er lol in en nu ruim 40 jaar later is hij naast DJ ook nog steeds actief als bandparodist en organisator van avonden met tonpraters. Maar hij doet meer.Techniek van deze opname was in handen van Thijs van den Heuvel.
