POPULARITY
Welcome to Thrift Therapy, a podcast about chasing dopamine through traveling and thrifting, but in sustainable ways that leave you in a good place. In this episode, I discuss best thrift spots, must see landmarks, and some thrifty travel tips for visiting Paris France.I LOVE PARIS, one of my favorite cities on earth and despite what you may have heard, there are cheap ways to visit and grab some one of kind vintage items. I have been to Paris three times and still have not seen it all, it is a city for walking through and stopping wherever you are drawn in. Once you find the area of the day and get settled in with coffee, grab your phone and open google maps. Since there are so many shops and flea markets, you can always a find a friperie (thrift store), a brocante' (flea market), or a vintage shoppe near you. www.thrifttherapypod.comwww.instagram.com/ThriftTherapyStylewww.facebook.com/thrifttherapywww.pinterest.com/thrifttherapywww.tiktok.com/ThriftTherapywww.patreon.com/ThriftTherapy

It is the end of Season 4 of Thrift Therapy and as a special treat to end Instagram Fashion Season, I have a panel of thrift influencers who identify as male. We discuss why style is important across genders, how social justice issues effect self expression, and what man-repelling is to name a few. And they each use Instagram to document and inspire other average guys to put their personalities on display using fashion, please give them a follow and cheer them on. Hippie Haven Podcast: How To Live An Ethical + Eco-Friendly Lifestyle
Every Wednesday on the Hippie Haven podcast, learn how to live harmoniously with yourself, others & the planet. We talk about all things hippie, including eating vegan, reducing your trash, starting an ethical business, eco-activism, gardening, beekeeping, tiny house living, and so much more. Today's guest is La Vee, a psychotherapist and host of The Thrift Therapy Podcast. We're talking about thrifting as a lifestyle, her best thrifting tips, the psychology behind shopping and why it makes us feel so good, how to avoid unnecessary impulse purchases, how to help yourself or a loved one on relying too much on retail therapy, and why some people become hoarders. The Hippie Haven Podcast is hosted by Callee - a zero waste activist & business owner. Formerly a translator for the US Navy, Callee was honorably discharged as a conscientious objector in 2017 following an episode of severe depression & alcoholism fueled by not living in alignment with her core values. That same year, at age 23, she started Bestowed Essentials, a handmade line of eco-friendly beauty & home products that are now stocked in over 100 stores around the US & Canada. Callee began hosting this free podcast in August 2018, as well as speaking at events and teaching educational workshops across the country, as part of her life mission to arm you with the knowledge & tools you need to spark positive change in your community. In December 2019, she opened The Hippie Haven in Rapid City, South Dakota - a zero waste retail store & community space with a little free library - the first of its kind in the state. She’ll be opening a second Hippie Haven in Salem, Oregon in Feb 2021. Tammi and Sondra tackle the tough subject of motherhood. “Moms that drink alcoholically carry an extra set of baggage in the overhead compartment.” Living in a world where alcohol is constantly marketed to moms, it was easy to justify, until an invisible line is crossed. So much shame runs throughout and most of the Why's are still being processed, but they work through a few things today. In the end, they talk about “modeling the solution”. “I'm proud of me and I'm proud that he gets to watch me do this.” The ladies share their top three tools in their Unruffled Toolbox for the week: Sondra's 3 fave things: (1) Horseback riding with her family; (2) The Unruffled Podcast secret FB group's new virtual book club featuring Claire Dederer's book Love and Trouble, A Midlife Reckoning as our first selection; and (3) Thrift Therapy which garnered an Hermès scarf for a buck! Tammi's 3 fave things: (1) Ashley Whiteside, artist + mother from Oklahoma City who collaborates on her abstract paintings with her preschool-aged daughter, Nora; (2) Summer Selfie Project with her son is happening for the third year in a row; and (3) New Kusmi brand Blue Label Detox tea.
