Scarlett Stanhope, better known as The Biz Hippie, helps coaches, creatives, and conscious entrepreneurs heal their relationship with money and finally feel supported by their businesses. In this raw and powerful conversation, Scarlett opens up about the dark side of doing everything “right” financially—and how it nearly broke her. In this episode, we discuss: How childhood experiences shaped Scarlett's perfectionism and money patterns Why saving without purpose is just another form of self-protection The real reason making more money doesn't fix money problems How unspoken scarcity beliefs show up in your pricing, marketing, and sales calls Scarlett's 3-part framework for identifying and healing money scarcity at its root How to align your pricing with your value (without fear, guilt, or second-guessing) Why “legit business owner energy” starts with knowing your numbers And how to balance intuitive money decisions with strategic action You'll walk away learning: How to uncover and challenge your internal “scarcity seeds” Why being good at saving doesn't always mean you're good with money What “energetic alignment” has to do with pricing your services Why you might be repelling clients without even knowing it The difference between hustle energy and grounded abundance How to finally feel safe in your business—even during a slow month Follow Scarlett Stanhope and The Biz Hippie: Instagram: @scarlettthebizhippieWebsite: thebizhippie.com Let's keep the conversation going on Instagram @everyonestalkinmoney Learn more about your ad choices.

Warm Thoughts

During the month of May, many states host an annual event on the governor's conference on "Aging." At these conferences, older Americans may learn new ways for healthy living and lifelong learning. Some time ago, my friend Mary shared an article entitled, "Nostalgia," which I feel may be interesting to our readers as they review the changes of the century. "Over the last 50 to 60 years, we have been witnesses to many changes in our lives...Here are just a few of them: We were born before cordless phones, fax machines and ice makers. Who ever heard of organ transplants or root canals? Horsepower was something to do with a horse. Callers rang the doorbell instead of blowing their horn. The fallout problem was something kept under your hat, and when folks sat down to dinner, they counted their blessings instead of calories. Guided missiles were rolling pins and frying pans. A babysitter was called a mother. A child had more brothers and sisters than fathers, and a car didn't wear out before it was paid for. A housewife canned food instead of taking it out of cans. Being a parent required more patience than money. Baths were taken once a week, and religion every day, and the only red menace was long winter underwear. $5 worth of groceries filled two bags, and when we were in school, the hard stuff meant algebra. We did without disposable diapers, velcro and scotch tape. Instead of the internet and the information superhighway, we had the party line. In our day, television was truly a luxury, and a black and white luxury at that. Tape meant to reel to reel, not cassettes or videos... and CDs were certificates of deposits, not compact discs, and owning a "hi-fi" was all the rage, and who could forget driving a Packard or a Nash? The only millionaires in baseball were the owners. Bunnies were small rabbits and rabbits were not Volkswagens. Cars in our time met running boards, cranks, Model A Roadsters and rumble seats. A mouse was a furry little creature, not part of a computer, and the only babes politicians kissed were those in their mother's arms. We were before Hawaii and Alaska became states, Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer, Snoopy, DDT, interstate highways, Holiday Inns, air conditioned cars and decaffeinated anything. We came from a time when we left our front door open. College kids swallowed goldfish, not alcohol, and in our day, songs had a tune and the words made sense. "Hippie" meant big in the hips. A trip meant travel. Bread came from bakeries, not the min. We were before microwave popcorn, child proof medicine bottles, and cars with cruise control. Streaking was what happened when you washed windows. Holidays were for getting together, not for getting away. And remember when a chick was a chicken, not the girl down the street? Tennis shoes were only worn in PE class. Bathing suits would cover your knees. And when you said, "I don't have anything to do," your parents said, "Find something to do!" In our day, we would swing and sway with Sammy K, waltz with Wayne King, dance to Guy Lombardo, and polka with Leo Greco. We have survived all of these changes and many more. What an exciting time to have lived." Warm Thought: Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80, anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young. Henry Ford. May you have many warm thoughts! Warm Thoughts from the Little Home on the Prairie Over a Cup of Tea, written by Dr. Luetta G. And that sense of comfort must be even greater if “home” is a beautiful house you built yourself, where you live happily with your family in a town where you're successful and respected. Throughout the early 1970s, California's Bay Area was in the grip of terror as multiple serial killers operated at the time same time and in more or less the same space. In time, some of these killers, like Ed Kemper, would be caught, while others, like the Zodiac Killer, would remain unidentified. Yet it was the ones who appeared to kill at random, without any preferred victim, that would prove the most terrifying and most difficult to catch. Herbert Mullin was one such killer, and while he may have been active for a very short period, he managed to do a tremendous amount of damage in such a little amount of time.Over a five-month period in late 1972 and early 1973, Herbert Mullin killed thirteen people, including a college girl, a Catholic priest, and a former high school friend and that friend's neighbors. To investigators, Mullin's victims appeared to be—and indeed largely were—chosen at random and the weapons used were chosen more out of convenience than pathology. Had Mullin's final murder not been committed in full view of witnesses, there's a very good chance he would have gone on to kill many more people before being caught, if he ever was.Thank you to the Incredible Dave White of Bring Me the Axe Podcast for research and Writing support!ReferencesAssociated Press. 1972. If you want an ad-free experience, you can subscribe below underneath the show description. In a weekend post, the US President stated “I love King Charles. Sounds good to me!,” in response to a report that King Charles is going to offer, during an upcoming visit to the UK, for the United States to join the Commonwealth of Nations. Comprised of 56 countries, the UKC is overseen by “His Majesty King Charles III… an important unifying role that personally reinforces the links by which the Commonwealth joins people together from around the world.”Of interest here is not so much the treasonous implication, or headlines like “Is Trump Trying to Undo The American Revolution?” but the manner in which his supporters have reacted: it's just a joke, he's trolling, he's a genius pointing out that the US is already a corporation, etc. They fail to explain why such a treasonous implication would be an acceptable joke when he's already supposedly fighting globalism, or how trolling the King of England somehow is NOT noticed by the Crown itself - only MAGA supporters online - or how the man of saying anything on social media is suddenly a man of sly, deceptive, intelligence-agency-like codes like some 17th letter of the alphabet. The reality is, most likely, you are being trolled. From Alex Jones being replaced by a clone to Russia blowing up “adrenochrome factories,” the whole thing actually is a terrible joke: threatening and censuring universities over legal protests if they don't give unique protection to Jewish students despite Muslims students being the primary target of discrimination nationwide, financing the war machine of a foreign country while cutting all other foreign aid, giving special privileges to certain groups of American businesses, promoting the North American Union, continuing to promote the use of mRNA, and now pushing electric cars. The whole thing is similar to the anti-war movement and counterculture of the 1960s-1970s. Whereas the anti-war movement was professional and serious, it was replaced by armies of naive and vulnerable people obsessed with drugs, sex, and military sponsored rock music and entertainment.  The anti-globalist movement has likewise been diverted by the modern MAGA-hippies, armies of self-righteous, understandably upset, Americans who genuinely are fighting for the right thing in the wrong place at the wrong time - getting information from the Internet, i.e. resources pushed by intelligence agencies probably. Whereas the Democrats secretly work to expand globalism, Trump is doing so openly. Wheres hippies ‘let loose', the new hippies want secret codes and symbols to interpret.  The right-wing influencers being paid to promote soda and fake Epstein documents are as fake as the left-wing influencers being paid to push pharmaceutical products or push transgenderism. It's pay to play, and rather than everything being a Psyop, these people are simply sell outs. -FREE ARCHIVE (w. ads)SUBSCRIPTION ARCHIVEX / TWITTER FACEBOOKMAIN WEBSITECashApp: $rdgable EMAIL: rdgable@yahoo.com / TSTRadio@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/tst-radio--5328407/support.

She uses a combination of tangible money management strategies as well as a variety of coaching techniques to help her clientstransform their mindset and relationship to money, allowing them to strategically achieve their goals. What You'll Learn in This Episode:Impact of money on our personal growthOverspending – overgivingMoney and relationships“Biz Hippie” growth journeyTransforming our money relationshipMoney and healthFun money managementLiving your best lifeQuotable Moments:“My ignorance is bliss bubble.”“Starting this work early is really important. Sometimes we have this idea that if we put it off and if we just work really hard, we'll be ok.” “Our relationship with money is not built on the amount of money you have and when you add more moneyto that you're just creating more stress and uncertainty that you already have.” “Money can push us to live in ways that isn't supporting our health and overall well-being and self-care needs.” “Instead of budgeting, I teach my clients how to blueprint which tells you what you can do with what the money you do have.” “The blueprint is a tool for manifestation and that's when it becomes fun.” “You can really be in control of your money, no matter how much money you have.” Three Episode Takeaways: 1.   Your connection to money can be in the deepest layers of not “enough ness”, self-doubt, scarcity, fear…all our shadowsand beliefs of the world show up in our relationship with money. It can keep us from saying “yes” to what's next on our journey. 2.   Money plays a huge role in relationships. It's how you create safety, it's how you get your basic needs met, your wants and desires met. If not aligned around values and what's worth it can be fundamentally different when it comes to money. 3.   When we transform our thoughts about money it happens when we become internally aware of our scarcebased beliefs and stories and part of ourselves that are “driving the bus”. When we "drive the bus" from love we get different results. When aligned with external awareness of how we use money, we have the possibility of living ourbest life.    Free Offer:Free 30 min Abundance ActivationSession: https://thebizhippie.com/activate More About Scarlett: Scarlett swung her pendulum from full business mode to total hippie; becoming a life coach, yoga instructor, and reiki practitioner.
