After years of flat-water paddling, Tim took the plunge into whitewater canoeing through Paddler Co-op's aptly named "Tandemonium" course. Today is the last episode of the season! I hope you enjoyed spending your time with us.We're taking an eight-week break, during which I will focus on completing my two book proposals. Wish me luck! We will be back with new episodes in September. The ability to go anywhere is something that many of us probably don't pay much attention to in our day-to-day lives. If we have a powerful passport like that of the United States, some savings or a credit card, and the ability to do flexible, remote work, we can travel somewhere at a moment's notice. But for many people around the world, that is not the case. So today, I want to pose some questions about what it means.Become a Going Places member for as little as $6 a month. Season 4 Recap: Can AI Capture a Whole Season? In this special recap episode of the Behavioral Design Podcast, hosts Aline and Samuel reflect on the ambitious arc of Season 4—our deep dive into the intersection of behavioral science and artificial intelligence. From empathic chatbots to algorithmic sameness, AI co-therapists to synthetic friendships, we explored how AI is reshaping human behavior, relationships, and decision-making.But here's the twist: the second half of this episode isn't hosted by us. It's AI. Using transcripts from every conversation this season, we asked our AI co-hosts to generate a narrated summary of the biggest ideas and themes that emerged across episodes. Can AI recap a whole season better than we can? Is this the beginning of our own replacement?Along the way, we revisit:How AI is changing the emotional landscape of our livesWhy automation and personalization are both liberating and limitingWhat happens when algorithms replace—not just supplement—human judgmentThe ethical fault lines of psychological targeting, autonomy, and consentWhether behavioral science can keep up with the pace and power of AIIf you missed any episodes or want a distilled tour of the season, this is the one to listen to.Next up: our Season Finale, featuring Aline and Samuel's most controversial takes on AI

Recapping Season 8 Episodes 15 & 16 In their next to last season finale, they talk about how this could have been an actual series finale. In fact, there was speculation from some listeners there were only 8 seasons and, after watching these last two episodes in season 8 for the first (and fifth) time, they agree that episode 16 really tied a nice bow around all these little story lines. They also discuss pressing topics such as what kind of beans would be the most disappointing beans to spill, leaving a frozen dick in one's hand, and what it must be like to film a seggss scene with your bff and 20 crew members and craft services all standing nearby. Maggie starts to get a little emotional about the end of the series and Amanda quickly shuts it down. Like a pro. Only one more season left of Suits...which begs the question? What's up Bros? We made it to the end of an up and down season. There are definitely some positives for this franchise moving forward. Overall, the newbies minus Brit did a solid job. Angela was a delight and Kelli did good as well. If they can add some missing pieces, this franchise may very well be just fine. In this episode, Angela opens up about her houses for sale. She also addresses the man that gave the cheating toast. Apparently she and Drew sat down with him and got the tea. Shamea has a song showcase for her new music, and at the end, gets into it with Brit. Kelli and Brit are completely on the outs. Things get interesting when Angela invites the man that dropped the cheating bomb at Kellis event. She probably should have told Charles but thats neither here nor there. It turns out that Phaedra is the one that gave Marcus money and the info to say what he said. The group is skeptical but we are not 100% sure exactly who the culprit is... Old-Time Radio Essentials returns with episode 49, the 12th installment of Season 4 (and our Season Finale)! Pete, Paul and Patte present Paul's pick , an episode of Dangerous Assignment, entitled "Investigate Flying Saucers"! Come for the old-time radio, stay for the scintillating (that's one way of putting it) discussion afterwards! As you listen, perhaps you'll learn if we feel this entry meets the following criteria: 1. Is it truly representative of that series? (Can anyone point to it and say, "Yes, that is what [NAME OF SERIES] was all about.") 2. Is it an episode worthy of inclusion in any and every OTR aficionado's private collection? So with this in mind, we three bring you, as our forty-ninth number (but 12th official episode of S4), this episode of Dangerous Assignment, from 4-17-50. We'll introduce the show, play it in its entirety, then discuss it at length. Thanks for joining us, and we hope you enjoy it! Please show your support of the podcast by doing any of the following... To comment on how we might improve OTR-E, or give suggestions for future discussions, please write to us at f6point3@gmail.com . Put the word "Essentials" in the subject line. Your feedback means a lot to us! A review at iTunes or at your usual podcatcher would be appreciated. Next Time: It's Pete's pick again, and he, along with Essential Listener Andy, will bring us an episode of the classic series, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes! Join us then, won't you?
